Rolling Green Village (RGV) is an amazing retirement village from the top drawer friendly and helpful staff at all levels, to the dining experience which is remarkable. So many and varied activities from classes, trips, exercises, too many to list, and great multiple levels of health care. When you arrive at campus, you are greeted by beautiful landscaping, various villages, wonderful walking paths, and maybe a goose or two. Wow! After 7 years cannot believe how lucky I am to have chosen RGV as my final home.

Rolling Green was absolutely the best place for my dad. He always said he didn’t want to move into a retirement home, but Rolling Green quickly changed his mind. The dining, the activities, the opportunities to get involved, the tranquil setting, and most importantly the staff were all far better than any of us anticipated. He quickly made dozens of friends among the residents and the staff. I wholeheartedly recommend Rolling Green to anyone looking for a great independent living option in Upstate SC.

Our mom lived in independent living for 3 years, spent a month and a half in rehab and has been in skilled nursing for the last 3 years. The staff in skilled nursing is top notch, her care team treats her with respect and genuine love. Everyone from her CNAs, her nurses, nutrition staff, activities staff and more calls her by name every time they see her, gives her hugs and touches regularly, and genuinely makes her feel cared for. Knowing that she is safe and happy there is everything.

Transportation services are a 5 star rating and the activities team is 5+ (Andrea and Christy take us on fun outings)! The personnel and staff a 5 star rating (Miranda is excellent). Food is a 4 out of 5. Housekeeping services are a 3 out of 5. The maintenance team is a 5 star rating. They’re very good about repairs (John is incredible).

Rolling Green Village cottage living was wonderful for my parents, and for my dad after my mom passed. Good neighbors, HOA was excellent, lovely facilities, walking was easy. Just a delight. Our experience with Healthcare for my dad has been very good as well. Caring staff with lots to do as their patients choose. There are encouraging folks at every turn--from housekeeping to activities to food service to patient care. Family communication and support is very good as well. I never worry and can sleep at night knowing my dad is cared for and sincerely loved for who he is, and can be now. I recommend this Healthcare center highly and am deeply grateful for the skilled and caring folks who care for my dad daily.

My dad has been in health care at Rolling Green for a little over a month now. Before he arrived, he had lost a lot of weight due to a recent hospital stay. The food is so good at RGV he is eating more than he's eaten in years! The food and the beautiful facility and the countless activities are not the only reasons to send your loved one to Rolling Green. The caring and compassionate staff is the best reason. Nurse Manager Vanessa, RN Andra, CNA Iris and the other CNAs are wonderful. They genuinely care about my dad's well-being. My stay at the Rehabilitation Center has been a positive experience on all accounts. The nurses, CNAs, therapists, activities staff, administrators have gone above and beyond in their capacities to serve during my time here. Of special note, Mark (PT) and Jamie (CNA) conspired to embolden me to push myself and put into practice a skill that Mark and Brian had worked into my PT training. Andr©a (Activities) encouraged me daily to take advantage of the extras available here: attending musical events, getting together with others in rehab, and eating with family and guests in the Commons restaurant (where broiled salmon and filet mignon are always on the menu)!

Our dad was at Rolling Green for 12 days in the Skilled Nursing rehab. This was such a good decision for us. The care was beyond outstanding. We have to make a special mention to Cruz and Jody. These two nurses are so good with all the patients and make each one feel special. Having said that, every staff person at Rolling Green are friendly and go out of there way to speak to you in a genuine way. The facility is very clean and well run. We are so glad we chose Rolling Green.

My husband had knee surgery in May and due to a few complications was admitted to Rolling Green Rehab. Their administrator, Sara, was so kind and worked so hard to help get him in! We are so thankful! Their PA Stormy, was amazing and worked wonders to help him get all the proper care and follow up appointments that he needed! The nurses and therapies, and CNAs and staff were a tremendous help and blessing! And the food Well we heard they had a five star chef, and our taste buds wholeheartedly agree! Not the kind of food you would ever expect in a rehab! So my husband and I thank you all from the bottom of our hearts! You were home away from home for a whole month, and truly, neither one of us would want to be in any other rehab, should we need to go? You are the best! We love you! ’

I would like to share my experience at Rolling Greene village rehabilitation center. I would like to salute all the staff at the center. They are very conscientious very skilled and super thoughtful. I want to specifically thank all the nurses (Libby and Shannon especially) all the CNAs (notably Miss Pam), all the housekeeping staff The physical therapists (Mark, David, and Brian), and the occupational therapist (Amy and Linsay). They have taken care of me and in a very professional manner and I don’t think I would’ve made it nearly as well as I have were it not for the staff here. I also want. I also want to thank the doctors, Dr. Cartilige in particular and Stormy, a nurse practitioner they have taken really good care of me. My first day here was a bit rough. I had excruciating pain and they did their best to take care of it after a day or so pain subsided a little bit and they began to do what they needed to do to get me ready to go home. I would highly recommend this institution for anybody in need of rehabilitative care after surgery. God bless.

I have happily deleted that review and commend RGV for their positive response to my concerns. My mother is happy again and loving her life here. I can not express the absolute amount of dedication, gratitude, and commitment that the rehabilitation team put into helping my mom. Mom's entire stay was phenomenal! Libby the nurse, Alashia the Certified nursing assistant, Stormy the Physician, and Jim the physical therapist all left an impact on me and mom. Those relationships you build in those weeks or months will never be forgotten especially with the ones you see daily. Libby and Alashia are assets to the rehab floor mom even said they still come see her down the hall . Stormy was so compassionate and kind . Jim thank you for pushing mom and being patient while in the process . I'm grateful for rolling green rehab center and happy to call it home for mom. Started as strangers ended as family. My parents have lived in Assisted Living at Rolling Green since last October. They previously were in Independent Housing for 8 years. They loved living in Rolling Green. They then moved in with my Sister for 2 years in Greenville. When they needed to move into Assisted Living, there was only one choice, Rolling Green. Trina, who is the Assisted Living Residency Counselor was instrumental in making that happen as seamlessly as possible. Recently, their apartment unfortunately flooded. They had to move to Memory Care while assessment and repairs were made. Trina again stepped in and made sure they were as comfortable as possible and pushed hard to get them back 'home' as soon as possible. Trina always shows how much she cares for the residents first, but the family as well. Rolling Green has always been a special place for our family. Trina only strengthens that feeling. Thank you Trina! You are the best!

I should say my rating is only based on the outside of this facility. I had taken someone there for a job interview and never actually went inside myself but the outside of this facility /community is absolutely gorgeous as far as landscaping goes the parking lots were being painted the buildings were clean there's beautiful places to walk all throughout this entire community I literally told the person I was taking that I was jealous and wanted to live there like now and I'm only 39 and this is for retired folks.

My 92-year-old father moved into the Healthcare area of Rolling Green Village (RGV) in early January 2024. He had been in assisted living at a different place but had an open wound that required he be moved to a facility with skilled nursing. I was not happy about having to move him, but it ended up being such a blessing! The staff at RGV were wonderful “ everyone from the administrators to the nurses to the support staff were so caring and kind. He began to steadily decline over the Fall, both physically and mentally. They were very communicative and provided options as needed. He passed away last week (11/13/24) and they were so supportive, telling us funny stories about him and how much they loved him. They have continued to reach out to offer condolences and assistance. I would highly recommend RGV!

I received care at Rolling Green Village, Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, for three weeks following a fall that resulted in several fractures. I received excellent care. The staff- nursing, physical and occupational therapy, kitchen, administrative, medical, housekeeping, and maintenance- were caring, professional, and motivational. They responded when I needed them. I recommend this facility to anyone who needs this type of care.

My husband and I moved my aunt to Independent Living at RGV in 2005. She was very happy there. She felt safe and really liked and enjoyed her new friends and neighbors. RGV offered her a wide variety of activities and services and she enjoyed those she took part in. One of the blessings of living at RGV is that it affords you the ability to move if needed to Assisted Living, Health Care, and Memory Care. Sadly, at the beginning of Covid, we had to move her to AL. The entire staff were instrumental and helpful in making this a smooth transition. Due to the lock down, we were forced to quickly move her in and then leave. RGV staff kindly helped her settle in. We were only able to visit her outside her window by phone. The Staff assisted her and us to make this work. As you can imagine, it was extremely stressful for her and our small family, which was her sister, nieces, and nephews. Our next move was to Health Care as she began to need more assistance in her day-to-day care. The nursing staff and daily care team provided much experienced support for my aunt, and for us. They were professional, attentive, understanding, and kind to her. They were available to answer my phone calls and questions. She passed away in January 2023. RGV and staff had a very special and meaningful Service of Remembrance on January 25 for the families who had lost their loved ones in 2023. My husband and I know that our aunt, like most all family members, wishes to remain in their homes and to be independent. However, most times that is not possible. We count our blessings that she was able to be at RGV for her final years.

I am sure that living at Rolling Green is very different than their rehabilitation services - that’s what this review is in regards to. Our father was admitted to RG Rehab on 10/19. He had been in the hospital since 10/4 and had suffered 2 cardiac episodes thus requiring a pacemaker. On the advice of one of Dad’s nurses at Bon Secours, my sister and mother showed up without calling to see if they could get a view of the facility and discuss the possibility of our father being admitted. Despite the abruptness of the nurse at the desk when they arrived, Sarah from admissions made all kinds of promises about the care and physical/occupational therapy our father would receive and she advised they had a bed available - 5 days of therapy every week, workouts in the pool, use of the spa to help his muscles, etc. Arrangements were made to have our father transferred late on 10/19 and things seemed to go smoothly until we arrived at RG. We were met by David, who was very unhappy our father was being transferred and didn’t bother to hide it. He roughly pulled our dad off the gurney - claiming he was helping the EMTs who transported our dad - slammed Dad’s head into the headboard and left the room, claiming he would be back but never returned, leaving us to try and get our dad situated in the bed instead of leaving him in the twisted heap David left him in. We were there daily and we know Dad was not receiving the therapy we were promised nor - with the exception of Lauren, Alizabeth and Alisa - was Dad receiving the kind of care we were promised. Our father has early onset dementia yet the other nurses and the PA were asking him yes or no questions. I mentioned to several nurses that Dad seemed to be suffering with a UTI but it was never addressed. When my sister and mother started to question them on why Dad wasn’t getting the care we were promised, the PA (Stormie) found it necessary to tell my sister that our father clinically died in the hospital and that our father was refusing showers, therapy, etc. I don’t have a medical degree but even I know not to ask someone with dementia yes or no questions because the answer is always no. Stormie then told my sister that their physical therapists were only paid to provide 30 minutes of therapy (he was only getting 30 minutes maybe 3 days a week). After the confrontation between Stormie and my sister, we were informed that they were dismissing our Dad the day before Thanksgiving as they couldn’t help him if he didn’t want to help himself. It was such short notice we were not ready for him to come home and we knew he wasn’t ready to come home. My brother filed an appeal with MediCare and we won the appeal but decided to move him to a much more physical therapy centered, medical grade facility as we were unsure of how our father would be treated. Monday November 27th, my mother and I went to move Dad and not one nurse offered to assist us in getting him out of the building and into the car. With the exception of the physical therapist who was there in his room when we arrived helping to get him in his wheelchair, the others stood around and watched us move his stuff and him. We moved him to the other facility and it is amazing the difference in him in only 3 days!!! His color is better. He is showering daily and he is participating actively in his PT - 4 hours of it a day. We admitted our father into RG with the trust that those employed there would take care of him and he would get better. He was there from 10/19 until 11/27 but he didn’t get better and only a handful of folks there actually took care of him. I gave the 2 stars for Lauren, Alizabeth and Alisa as they seemed to honestly care about Dad and his health.

I am so grateful for the concern and care shown by the staff to my mother during her time at Rolling Green Village. She was in skilled nursing care for six months. She received such outstanding nursing care, always delivered with great kindness and compassion. They helped her acclimate to her new environment successfully, and physical therapy was able to get her safely ambulating. She truly enjoyed the activities, and the skilled care team worked with us to address all her needs. Additionally, the spiritual care, as well as the excellent food, nourished her in all ways. I highly recommend Rolling Green Village!

Rolling Green Village Rehabilitation is the most amazing place where my husband spent almost 3 weeks. Every staff member was caring and helpful and very friendly. PT and OP therapists gave my husband therapy 3 times a day. My husband could not stand or walk and fell often until he went to RG Rehab. Now he walks well with a walker and does not fall. This place is so clean and well kept, and the food was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone who needed therapy.
