Unfortunately, we like so many other children found this place necessary for our father. The staff is excellent. We had one communication error in the beginning, which was quickly resolved, and never happened again they treat my father like a member of their family if we ask a staff member to do something or double check something it's done right away, it's clean well-maintained they know our names and who were there to see every time we walk in the door the only issue that we really have is when a staff member leaves. The residents aren't really told why and that's a shame because some of the residents get so close with the staff members, overall a very happy experience for what we have to go through. Definitely would recommend it.

To: The Corporate Team of Wren Creek I had the pleasure of meeting two of your outstanding employees, Sherri Scott, Executive Director & Wendy Lynch, Community Relations Director. Both of them were amazingly compassionate and clear communicators. They answered every question thoughtfully, thoroughly, and with heart. Both Sherri & Wendy were available for multiple room tours; they tailored our visit that exceeded all expectations. These two are definitely in the right roles for your facility! In closing, please know that I am beyond appreciative for all the interactions with them. Sherri & Wendy, keep doing what you are doing, you both demonstrated customer care above and beyond anything I could have wished for, and I am confident you do this with everyone working through these same difficult transitions. Thank you!

I would never put a relative back in there. At first it seemed ok but didn't stay that way. We were told that we had to pay 1,500.00 for a security deposit and as long as room was not messed up we would get it back but when we tried we were told that we had to pay another 180.00 to catch everything up which we already had everything caught up but we had to pay to get deposit back but then after we paid that, we were told that they didn't give the deposits back. I have went over there when ny mama stank like piss. She had on clothes with the hem hanging out, dirty and I went at least 5 to 6 days a week and would stay most if the day,so they could have told me about that b4 they put them on her. They washed her clothes but they continously lost her panties, socks, etc. We had bought her new clothes and new tennis shoes and they all disappeared. No one ever saw them. Then one day I went in and my mama was crying because someone stole her ring off of her finger which was a very old, antique expensive ring.she said "Someone took my ring off my finger and they thought I was too stupid to know it" I said "mama,do u know who took your ring?" and she said "no,but they were black." I made a report but no one ever saw it again. One day I went in and my mama had been put in a wheelchair all slumped over because she was given too much if her medicine. She was given meds twice. Actually that happened twice that I know of. One time her false teeth were missing and I asked them where her teeth was and they said in her mouth. I said no they're not. So after looking for them for a while and not finding them they took me in a little room and they had 2 sets of dentures in a glass jar and asked me were one of those sets my moms?. I looked at them like they were crazy. How could I possibly tell that? I think by next day they had put teeth in her mouth but I don't think they were hers cause she couldnt even eat good anymore after that so I really don't know. There was times I went with my mom to kitchen to make sure she ate. She wanted to get up and leave the table so I would follow her with her plate to make sure she ate because I knew they wouldn't. There was times a plate would b in front of someone that couldn't feed theirselves and I would b feeding a couple of people and looking after my mom because if I didn't they wouldn't have got to eat. No one seemed to really care. One day they were cutting toenails in the piano room. Everyone then went to dining room to eat. I realized 2 people were still in piano room in wheelchairs. I told 2 different people and they said well if they get hungry enough they will come. I thought how could they when they probably didn't even know where the dining hall was considering this was a dementia unit. So I went and got one of them and then the other so they could eat. I've had women who asked me to take them to bathroom because we couldn't find anyone to take them so I did. And if anyone pisses on couches, they just turned cushes over and next time someone pissed they would just flip them again. This happened everyday. Very unsanitary. I'm on disability but felt like I was working a job everyday I went. I have pushed people to there rooms, put them in their beds, and etc. One day a man went in dark supply closet and shut the door. I tried to tell someone but got frustrated and took him out myself. My mom fell one night and busted her head opened and I got a phone call about 3:00a.m. to tell me mama went to Mcleod hospital. So I got up and went to ER. That was on Sunday morning and by Thursday night my mom was dead. We had taken her to hospice house and the Dr.told us that because mama fell and hit her head, that it progressed her death. I honestly could say alot more but u get the idea. Maybe I should have sued them and maybe they would start caring more about their patients. So if u don't give a dam about your loved ones, put them in elmcroft. If I had chance again I would have kept my mama at my house. I feel like I let my mama down putting her there, but never again would I do that.

Courtney if you are so dissatisfied with the care ur loved one is getting, then move them. But i can assure u that $4100 is not expensive. Try going to the beach. Monthly rates are around $6000-month or more. Its not easy being a caregiver. So stop being a negative Nancy

We dont have the issues other people have bc we visit FREQUENTLY, are in contact with all providers, and have found the staff to be attentive. The stress of senior care is equivalent to public education. You have to do your part instead of acting like paid professionals can be family surrogates. They cant. The parking lot should always be full of visitors, it is not. The Senior Prom was the most visitors Ive ever seen.

My father in law is taking some time to adjust with his move to this community. However we do feel this is a good fit for him, and his needs. We do feel comfortable with his move to this community. It is a nice community with kind people. The staff is very pleasant, and they have been helpful whenever needed. They do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. There are good activities offered, and nice meals provided. We know he is safe, and in good hands. This a community I would recommend to my family, and friends.
