If I had a choice I would never have chosen this place. The food is so so. I never see any activities going on. All of his clothes are missing so he is now in a hospital gown. He is missing his $700 wheelchair that I bought him. It has been 2 weeks and no answer from Riverside. He is now totally bedridden so who knows what kind of care he is getting.....Not much.... guaranteed. This place has some serious issues. Not enough staff and missing items. I can't move him because of his health. Be aware if you are going to place a family/friend in this place.

Riverside health and rehabilitation did a fantastic job taking care of me. The food was alright and the nursing care Was good. I loved The activities department. I loved playing Bingo.

It was so nice to see the residents and staff come together today to enjoy the Riverside luau. Laughter, music and food was shared by all. Such a happy vibe.

Things have improved - so i am told.

My dad was here for 5 months. I felt that he was taken care of better than anywhere else he had been. He spent some time at Oakbrook Rehab and Hallmark, both in Summerville. After a bad UTI and going to MUSC, he was transferred to Riverside. I decided it was worth the drive to leave him there until I could get him into the veterans home in Florence because he was well taken care of and the staff was always so nice. Plus Mr. Hymes in social services was a God send. They are probably understaffed and are doing the best they can but let me tell you, after having my dad in 2 other skilled nursing centers, 1 assisted living home, as well as Summerville medical and MUSC, in comparison, he received much better attention at Riverside.
