My 86-year-old mother suffered a severe stroke. After six weeks of hospitalization, and rehab, she was discharged, her entire left side was paralyzed, and required 7X24 care. Prior to the stroke she lived alone and was fiercely independent. Anticipating how difficult it would be to care for her I reached out to Home Helpers of Bluffton for assistance. Taking care of my mother was overwhelming. Home Helpers assigned one of their caregivers, Cheryl to assist us, M-F from 9:00-1:00. Cheryl was incredibly valuable to my mother. Every morning she arrived on time, helped get my mother out of bed, to the toilet, bathe, dressed, room cleaned up, bed made,, helped with simple exercises of her legs and so much more. Though my mother is still paralyzed, she has made great strides and we recently transferred her to an assisted living facility. Cheryl assisted by organizing and packing my mother's clothes and personal items. The first two weeks in assisted living, Cheryl continued with my mother, helping to assimilate her into her new apartment and familiarize the assisted living team with my mother's routines and needs. She also organized all of my mothers clothes and personal items in the new apartment. Our family is extremely appreciative of Cheryl. We could not have come this far without her support. She is a real caring professional. In addition to Cheryl. the rest of the management/support team have also been excellent. When we first engaged with them an RN on the team came out to assess my mother, her care needs and the accommodations we made in her home. On 2-3 occasions one of their senior staff members came to the home for a quality/satisfaction check to ensure we were receiving the support we needed. The management team, Melody and others have been extremely supportive and helpful every step of the way. I highly recommend the team at Home Helpers of Bluffton if one of your loved ones requires assistance through a difficult period.

Hello Everyone, In review of Home Helpers as a place for employment I give them top ratings. As an employee working for this company feels like a privilege. The pay rate is competitive BUT MOSTLY BETTER than what other companies like Home Helpers. The administrative staff is very supportive of Caregivers, always providing opportunities for paid training, and advancement. There are routine team building events in office where employees are encouraged to attend and bring their families. I rate Home Helpers at an A+ in communication. They use all modes of communication to keep employees well informed, for example, mail, email, newsletter, text message, phone via mobile app. ITS AWESOME. I enjoy everything about this company, the staff and clientele especially. I recommend ANYONE with reliable transportation to work for this company. IT WILL BE A GREAT EXPERIENCE Also to potential clients...DO DO GIVE HOME HELPERS A CALL. All the employees at this company are consummate professionals in the field of Home Care Services. I truly work for an awesome organization.

I recently employed the good folks at Home Helpers to care for a loved one who was very ill with a terminal disease. My experience from the top down was very positive. The owner came to our home and spent hours explaining how the process worked. She also came to the hospital to visit and answer some issues we were working through regarding Hospice care. She was kind, empathetic and helped us to navigate the intricacies of how this all worked. She carefully selected workers that she thought were best suited to help us. By the time this was over, I felt like the caregivers would be life long friends. I would wholeheartedly recommend their service to anyone without concern. I am grateful for their kindness and loving care/
