Our mom spent the last four years of her life here at North Pointe receiving the very best care and quality-of-life enrichments. Everyone makes it their mission to ensure the safety and well-being of all residents. After visiting several places, this one stood out as the cleanest, warmest, and homiest place and a staff that cares for both the resident and the resident's family. Mom spent her days doing crafts, reading, participating in games, movie and popcorn nights, enjoying guest entertainers, celebrating holiday events (that included family members, and taking field trips. While it's always hard putting the care of your loved one into someone else's hands, it's sometimes necessary. We are very grateful for their loving care to our family on a daily basis and during emergencies and end-of-life issues. Without a doubt, North Pointe Assisted Living is the best facility in Anderson and was the perfect soft landing for our family. It'll be yours too. The Goodyear family

Everyone is nice but there is some things that need fixing. My mother in law is in 117 and the lights over the sink are blinking and going out, the shower head is leaking bad where the handle is is screwed on to the hose. I've reported it before and it's still doing the same thing. I get soaked every time I try to help her shower and the toilet hangs upa lot. I will be visiting her and go to the bathroom to wipe things off and the toilet will be running. I just jiggle the handle to get it to stop but those two ladies don't know to do that. Other than that, I just have a question. Do the ones living there clean their on rooms or is housekeeping do it?

This is kind of a mixed review. My experience with them was great while my dad was alive and staying there. They really seemed to care about him on a personal level and not just because they had to. He got very close with many of the employees and enjoyed his stay. I had no issue at all with food or cleanliness. The end of life care that they gave my dad was also great. He had a rough last few weeks and they were very helpful and caring throughout all of it. My only issue is that after the death, they drafted an extra month's rent. This was fine because he passed very close to the end of a month. I asked about a refund and was told that it would definitely be refunded and that it wasn't an issue. I asked about the money a few times and waited two full months before really raising any issue. After over two months of waiting, I finally contacted the bank and they investigated the situation and returned my money to me. I'm not sure if North Pointe was ever going to give it back. The communication was poor and so were the excuses. At the end of the day, the care for my father is what was important to me. The money is much less important so I still gave four stars. I was just very disappointed with how this ended up because I was very impressed up until the money situation.

My mother has enjoyed moving to Northpoint. We can't thank the staff enough for making all of us welcome and greeting us with smiles. Bebe took time from her busy day to help my sister and I move my Mothers room around so that she would be more comfortable! My Mother enjoys the meals and her neighbors.

It was a lovely visit with our new friend Harold Harbert who we met in Walmart a few months ago. He is such a sweet man. We already have made plans to visit him again. It's a beautiful facility and the staff were very nice and friendly. Have a Merry Christmas

My dad lived in several assisted living facilities in the Upstate. I think we experienced a good cross section of what is available in the Upstate of SC. I wish my dad had spent all of his last 6/7 years at North Pointe. The staff is amazing and so caring. The facility was spotless. Communication was always open. When my dad became terminally ill our family was contacted daily with updates on his condition. Those calls were so important when we were not able to be there. They treated our dad as family. We will always think of these special folks as a part of our family, too.

My brother and I arrived at 11:00 a.m.. we're immediately agreed by very warm and courteous lady at the check-in desk. Signing in with a breeze no problem at all. And I'm going to say it just gets better from there. We had a very pleasant visit with my father for about an hour. While we were there they served lunch. The food they served would rival any upscale restaurant that I've ever been to. Staff and caregivers there are so nice so courteous and they are always engaged with the the people there. Today they were playing the word game on the TV in a group session it was designed to help short-term memory. This facility is top-notch.

Let me say this first. The stress and guilt of putting a love one in a Memory Care facility sometimes is overwhelming. It's a very difficult decision. Janice Lowe with North Pointe Assisted Living and Memory Care has made it much more manageable in placing my mom at North Pointe. She has helped my brother and I navigate the process on getting my mom in a safe, caring and a very clean environment. These folks here do really care about your love one. I trust Janice and the staff on assuring my brother and I that our mom is in good hands as we continued this new journey with our mom.

Since I've had this banned on two different Facebook pages, I hope that you guys will share this for me! I sincerely hope you guys don't have family there! I had hoped I didn't have to post this rant, but...My name is Victor Prince and I own a small pressure washing and exterior cleaning business here in Anderson, South Carolina. I have built my business on hard work, quality, and integrity. We treat each and every client like you are a member of our family, and if you have used us, you understand. I apologize in advance for the long post, but I want bring awareness to an assisted living facility that you may be considering putting your parents or elderly relatives in. I would like everyone to know that they treat people like this. I don't have the means to hire an attorney to defend me against a multi-million dollar company that owns 70 assisted living facilities. I just want people to know that if they do this to a contractor who improves their facility and helps them pass their corporate visit, I can only imagine how they treat their residents: I bid a job for a local assisted living facility. I wanted to give them a discounted price because of what I perceived they were doing to help our communities and our families. I sent them a quote for what I would normally charge twice as much for. On June 14th 2021, my quote was accepted via email by the director of the facility. I was to schedule the job as soon as possible, which was July 6th, 2021. Myself and my crew arrived at 9:00 a.m. on July 6th. We cleaned the entire building and grounds and remediated the mildew and mold which may have been harmful to some of the elderly patients with lung issues and breathing problems. The additional benefit was that it made the facility look great, as it should be. The maintenance director at the facility had asked me previously if we accepted credit cards, which I told him we did. He told me they would pay by credit card when the job was complete. We completed the job that day and I took an invoice to the office manager along with my credit card machine. She informed me that she would need to send it to the corporate office and a check would be cut and mailed to me. I was fine with that, even though those weren't the original terms that we had agreed to. Sometimes things happen and miscommunications occur. No biggie. A week later, I reached out to the office manager and she looked in her computer and said that it showed that I was scheduled to be paid. She stated that they only cut checks on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month. That was understandable. The law in South Carolina states that a contractor should be paid no more than 21 days after completion of the work via check by certified mail. But I waited. I waited until after the fourth Wednesday. Another week came and went and I still had not been paid. I attempted to call several times to find out what was going on, but my phone calls and messages went unanswered and unreturned. I started texting the maintenance director. He informed me that they needed my tax ID, which I had provided previously, but I provided again. He said it would be the next pay cycle before I would receive a check. Things happen. People get busy. Things are overlooked. Been there. Another second and fourth Wednesday came and went and no check. I called the office manager and asked her and she told me that all she could do is check her system and it was showing scheduled to be paid. I asked who I could call at her corporate office, Capital Senior Living. She told me that they were instructed to tell anyone that had a question to call the corporate office in Dallas Texas. Anyone in particular I need to speak to? No. Anyone in accounting will be able to help you. I call the corporate office in Dallas Texas. I ask for accounting. I get the voicemail for [Name Removed]. I leave her numerous messages. I would estimate at least six. I never get a return phone call. I called back and asked to speak to her supervisor. I left numerous messages with her as well. I guess I didn't deserve a call back, because I never received one. 90 days later, no check. It's hard enough to run a small business as it is, without having to worry about getting paid from a corporate conglomerate that owns 70 nursing homes and doesn't care if they pay the little guy or not. I've come to the conclusion now that I probably won't get paid, so I want to make sure that everybody sees this and knows who you are dealing with. A company that will cheat a small, family owned business out of money is, in my opinion, not concerned with your family or the needs and care of its elderly residents. The residents are only a number, unfortunately, just an income source for a corporate conglomerate who wants as much profit as possible to show its shareholders. The little small business owner in Anderson County can help the bottom line by not getting paid. I hope if any contractors that are considering doing business with North Pointe Assisted Living will reconsider unless you can plan to not get paid. No one wants to work for free. I know some people won't care, but I hope that you remember this if you are ever thinking about doing work for or placing a loved one in North Pointe Assisted Living or any assisted living facility owned by Capital Senior Living. Please consider someone locally owned or at least, someone who cares.

The staff at North Pointe are caring and attentive to the residents. My dad has lived there two years+ and he says he is content and has everything he needs. I think he really appreciates the family like atmosphere. I really appreciate the commitment of staff, especially the professional way they have responded and continue to respond to the pandemic, which has been super difficult for everybody. Extra shout out to Sherry Elgin who goes above and beyond in cheering residents days.

My mom lived at North Pointe five years, before passing away recently. She loved her stay there and loved the care givers. They loved her in return. She spent her last year and a half in memory care. The staff made the transition as easy as possible. The pandemic has resulted in our family not being able to visit as we had done in the past. Again, the staff helped so much, making Facetime calls and giving us regular updates. I was very pleased with her life and her care at North Pointe.

My relative moved to North Pointe about two months ago and is having a good experience. The people are friendly, helpful and work very hard to provide good care. The leadership for the facility is strong. The activities are not much used by my relative, but I can tell that they are well run and planned. North Pointe provides the services needed at an affordable price. The food is well prepared and is really good. I do not usually write reviews, but I feel it is important to acknowledge and appreciate the hard work of those at North Pointe. The aging process is hard enough, North Pointe helps provide the comfort and security needed when assistance is required.
