Commonwealth House is a wonderful place for anyone requiring assisted living. The facility is very clean and the grounds are beautiful. They provide a secure homey atmosphere where the residents receive a lot of great and individualized attention. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. Mandi and Graham are great people who care about their residents with a positive attitude. I have been very impressed by Commonwealth and am so grateful my sister is a resident there. So much more personalized and not just part of a large entity. Some seniors are much happier in the type of atmosphere that Commonwealth offers. Unique !

I attended their end of summer luau today on their gorgeous patio with delicious food, music and laughter with residents and their families. This place is a gem!

I toured Commonwealth last week as I am starting to look at places for my mom. I went thinking it would be too small but thought I'd check it out anyway. I fell in love. The place was so nice. It had that feeling of "being at home" throughout the whole place. It was clean and comforting. They had so much to offer. Graham and his staff were so friendly and answered all my questions. If it were for me, I'd choose it in a heartbeat. I'd recommend a walk through if you are in the process of looking for that Special place.

We are so happy we found Commonwealth Assisted Living. Commonwealth is a very nice small assisted living for people who want a home like setting with only 10 residents and a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff provide excellent care to the residents. Communication between owners Mandi and Graham, staff and family is wonderful. They have fresh meals made daily by an in home chef, common areas to watch tv, family style eating, lovely outdoor patio with beautiful flowers and bird feeders and activities for residents.

I honestly don’t know where to start. I’m an Occupational Therapist and knew exactly what I was looking for when my Mom needed assisted living and I didn’t think it existed until I found Commonwealth House. Mandi and Graham Willoughby have created a beautiful, one level home with only 10 residents. Mom has Alzheimer’s and was so scared about leaving her home when she was no longer safe and now she has a new family. Residents enjoy home cooked meals, activities, a lovely outdoor space with flowers and bird feeders and a grill that is enjoyed in warmer weather. Each resident has a very specific care plan to meet all needs for optimal independence and quality of life. The attention to detail provided in all areas is outstanding. I am so glad we found Commonwealth House Assisted Living. It's unlike any other facility I encountered during our search, in that it does not feel like a facility. It feels like a home. Residents have their own rooms, and receive freshly cooked meals from an in-house chef (my mom loves Fish-Fridays). The number of residents is small, which allows caretakers to know each resident, and understand their routines, needs, and quirks, allowing for truly personalized care. We were new to the area so Mandi helped connect us to the appropriate doctors and specialists. Communication between staff, residents, family and doctors is impeccable. I'm truly grateful for everything the Commonwealth House team has done to help take care of my mom. I know she's in good hands!

Thanks to Commonwealth House for making our travel plans worry free. My mother lives with us and preferred to stay home while we were away but, that was not possible for numerous reasons. A stay at Commonwealth House was the perfect solution for ALL of us. We first visited and found it to be warm and welcoming by both the staff and the residents. Safety and resident care was a priority (there was no "patient" feeling to all interactions - Commonwealth House was to become your home away from home). Before going, my mother was evaluated by their nurse for all aspects of care - physical abilities, cognition, medical conditions, dietary requirements including likes and dislikes. Everyone went out of their way to make the move to Commonwealth House as seamless as possible. Mandi offered to email while we were away - this was great for me and my mother to get the latest from us. Mom loved seeing Turtle (their dog) - just another "home touch" to Commonwealth House. All of our interactions have been positive - a perfect solution to short term or long term care needs. Commonwealth House is a little gem nestled in a residential neighborhood in Warwick. My husband just happened upon it one day as he was in the neighborhood and told me about it. My sister who suffers from early onset Alzheimers was staying with us when we learned about the Commonwealth House and decided to take a tour. We were immediately greeted with a warm and engaging owner and staff and were impressed by the cleanliness and quaint living arrangements that offer two common rooms with "cushy" furniture, fire places and large screen TV's (for movie nights). The kitchen is a place where residents gather and to sit and converse, share stories and play cards and various other games. Chef Adam is a delight, funny and entertaining, you can tell that he really loves the residents and they love his cooking! Many of the rooms overlook a large backyard with a swimming pool and cabana, tennis court, and large patio for the outside activities and barbecuing. The staff is very attentive to the needs of each resident and goes to great lengths to insure their comfort, happiness and security during their stay. The house is so close that I am able to visit almost daily and have been invited many times to stay and enjoy dinner with the residents. I am grateful to have found a place where my sister can engage with others and not be isolated. Commonwealth House is a wonderful home for your loved one.

So happy that I discovered Commonwealth House for my mother. She had lived in another Assisted Living Facility, but due to it’s size, it lacked the personal care, attention and social contact that the elderly need and deserve. Commonwealth House staff all show compassion and empathy, as well as top notch care that has made a difference in the quality of my mothers life. And the smaller size makes it feel so much more like home. So grateful that this new form of senior living has made its way to Rhode Island!

My mom stayed here for a month when I was traveling. She loved it and they took wonderful care of her. She made friends with other residents. I would completely recommend this facility, because it is more like a home than a facility. This is what assisted living should be not a building that you could mistake for a cruise ship.
