My mother has dementia and has been living at Victoria Court for just over a year now. In that year, I've come to understand a lot about the disease and its effects. Most likely, your loved one is not going to want to move out of their home. And you are going to feel like you betrayed them. (This is how I felt). And you will witness the struggles they will go through in adjusting to a new environment. And you will learn that they will have "triggers." Triggers make them feel unhappy and it is different for each person. For my mother, one of her triggers was simply seeing the front door. It would suddenly remind her that she wasn't at her home. She would become quite agitated. But the great staff knows what they are doing. The front door is within view when going to and from the dining room. So, after lunch, to direct her gaze away from the front door, the staff would simply talk and walk with my mother while guiding her directly to the elevator to bring her down to the activity room. It always works. So, I can tell you now: if you are finding yourself between a rock and a hard place like I was -- that is, 1) keeping your loved one in their home that they love but is dangerous for them to live because the cognitive decline is really bad and there are no relatives who can legitimately care for them full time, or 2) putting them in a Memory Care home where they won't know anybody and which may make them even more confused --- I say take them to Victoria Court where the staff knows how to handle issues that arise due to memory decline, where your loved one is safe because people are around all throughout the day (and night!) where they are fed three meals a day plus snacks, where they are regularly bathed, and medicines administered on time and in the correct doses, where their apartments are cleaned and clothes washed regularly, and where staff encourage them to join in the many activities. Throughout the journey, Victoria Court staff will ease your fears. They will remind you of what the disease does. They will pay close attention to your loved one so they can learn their triggers. They will redirect when necessary or leave them to have quiet time when needed or requested. For my mother, she has had good days and bad days. But I am relieved to say that the good days now outweigh the bad. She is more content. The staff really knows her and understands her. She likes to spend time in her apartment (which is very cute, by the way!) but she comes out to participate in activities when she feels like it. She likes to dance when encouraged. Understand that adjustment takes time. Take your loved one to Victoria Court. The staff there will go through the adjustment with them, no matter how long it takes.

I had privilege of touring Victoria Court. Sam showed me around the community and did a walk through. I could see how great an all memory care community concept is. Truly like condo living. Doesn’t feel like assisted-living, which is great. They have gorgeous apartments. I went downstairs and they were doing activities. Everyone looked engaged and happy! I can personally say I would be happy to refer any family or friends to this community.

Moving a loved one into memory care is never an easy decision, but the team at Victoria Court have made us feel supported every step of the way. We especially appreciate Sam, Sue, and Rhoda for the incredible kindness, compassion, and communication they’ve shown throughout this process. They’ve kept us informed every step of the way and have made what could have been an overwhelming transition feel manageable. We’re feeling very positive about this next chapter and grateful for the care and support our family member—and our entire family—will receive at Victoria Court.

We have known Sam for over 3 years, from another facility. We ran into him at a conference and the next day, had an appointment with him at Victoria Court. He is exceptional as the Director of Sales, and was a major reason for moving our Mom here. He is such a positive and important member of the team at Victoria. We are thrilled with all the staff we have met and we are looking forward to to all the relationships we will build.

My mom has been at Victoria Court for about 90 days now, and I truly couldn’t be more grateful for the care she’s receiving. Her transition has gone so well, and most importantly, she is happy and really enjoying her new home. I want to especially recognize Sam, Sue, and Rhoda, who went above and beyond in helping make this transition smooth, not just for my mom, but for my sister and me as well. Moving a loved one into a new home can be overwhelming, but they made the entire process feel manageable, supported, and even comforting. They are incredibly communicative, always approachable, and genuinely care. Their kindness, patience, and consistency made all the difference for our family, and I can’t thank them enough. It brings such peace of mind knowing we can reach out and get thoughtful, timely responses. Being able to text with the directors makes communication so easy and reassuring. A special thank you to Rad as well for helping get her apartment ready—it made such a difference in making the space feel like home right from the start. There is a genuine sense that everyone here truly loves what they do, and it shows in the way they care for the residents each day. We are also so grateful to Ashley, Ida, Anna, Maria, and honestly everyone on staff for the kindness and attention they show. The facility is clean, welcoming, and well cared for, but more importantly, my mom is cared for, comfortable, and happy. That means everything to me. I’m incredibly thankful to have found Victoria Court.

My mother has been in Victoria Court since May 2025 and I could not be more pleased with the care she receives there. Everyone, from management down, treats her and my family with respect and are very friendly. I was surprised but pleased when Rhoda Smith, the executive director, sent an email to family updating us on what they would be doing during the snow storm this past weekend. The nursing staff always keeps me updated on mom’s condition and the med techs and CNAs are top notch. The front desk desk staff knows who we are there to visit and interacts very well with the residents. The food service staff even knows to bring mom a second cup of coffee in the morning. Maintenance staff responds very quickly to any problems. They also have activities for the residents and even family activities which we have participated in. I highly recommend Victoria Court if you need a memory care facility for your loved one.

Victoria Court Memory Care is a truly lovely and amazing place to choose for your loved one. The entire team provides compassionate, attentive care, and the residents enjoy delicious meals in a warm, welcoming environment. Each week, the Activities Director creates a fun and engaging calendar that keeps residents active, happy, and socially connected. There is always something meaningful and enjoyable happening. The community is beautifully managed by an outstanding Executive Director, and it truly shows in the quality of care and the positive atmosphere throughout the property. If you are looking for a safe, caring, and enriching place for your family member, Victoria Court Memory Care gives you a million reasons to feel confident in your choice.

I was amazed when I saw Victoria court. I was also relieved because I was expecting a nursing home or hospital environment. This was not the case at Victoria Court. It was set up to feel like home. The staff made it feel like home. It was a beautiful property. The staff is so kind, mindful, professional and well-versed on the dealings of Alzheimer’s and dementia patients. I hope to be sending my grandmother there this place is the perfect place!

From the first time you visit Victoria Court, and every time after that, you will feel welcomed. Starting with Madeline, a kind, quiet receptionist with the best smile who covers the morning shift, and in the afternoon, Anna, an equally personable and effervescent representative who greets people in the afternoons The staff here (all of them) have not only given John my husband.the respect and confidence he deserves but they took the time to learn about his extensive Corporate career and have been utilizing his skills in the facility ever since. Because they work hard, often for long hours at time, each of the staff deserves individual recognition and appreciation, They have become Johns new family and now ours too. Starting with Rhoda. She is the person in charge but no matter how busy she might be, she always has time to talk, learn family names and listen. Sam is the very approachable sales and marketing liaison between the families, residents and staff. Rad is the very congenial representative in charge of maintenance and impressively strong like Superman. Two days ago he carried my husband’s new refrigerator from the lobby to Johns room. Trish is the new recreation director and always willing to listen to new ideas participate, encourage and lead the various daily events. Sue the Nurse is very competent, will always have the time of day for you and answers questions in a timely manner either personally or by text. Ida is a very personable medical assistant who is always available when needed. Nellie is the friendly quiet CNA with the great smile who just gets things done., Fred is the quiet and fun chef who always wants to please the residents and does. And Maria is the amazing, very competent cleaning person who makes sure the building is spotless from top to bottom and always has time to say hi on her way by. So if you are in the market for a memory care facility for a loved one, do yourself a favor and call Victoria Court to arrange a tour. We all understand that is a difficult decision to consider memory care but isn’t it well worth your time to know that your loved one is safe. Not all facilities are as personable. We know, we looked at a few of them before deciding on Victoria Court. And those other facilities continue to call us, hoping we’ll change our minds. We have not And the happy ending is that my husband likes it there. He is a highly functioning charming man now with dementia and he understands that he needs to be there but is, as we are all, appreciative that he has found a safe and positive place to stay. The staff at Victoria Court keep John engaged and involved with their community and that makes all the difference in his world

Victoria Court staff have been so receptive & accommodating in caring for my father who has dementia. They try our suggestions to make my father’s life easier. They send videos of my father enjoying special moments. We like the room with a view and safe, enclosed patio he has access to for fresh air and scenery. Unlike a previous facility, they are only memory care for 45 residents which enables them to be more attentive, especially regarding health issues. A huge shout out to Sam, Anna, Rhoda, Rad, Fred and all the staff! We truly appreciate your care.

My dear aunt has been a resident of Victoria Court for nearly five years. The expert care she has received there all this time goes beyond my expectations. All staff members who I come in contact with are caring, respectful and compassionate to her needs. One particular employee has been a constant in her life there and her name is Anna Carbone. From staffing the front desk to taking care of the residents' needs to providing activities for them, Anna is the absolute best. She individually engages each resident during activity time in fun and appropriate ways according to the needs of each resident. My aunt lights up each time she sees Anna. Anna is a gem and an integral part of the Victoria Court staff in Cranston, RI. My aunt had two siblings who were also residents, but have sadly since passed away. They were also always cared for in an exceptional way by the entire staff. I was always so impressed of how the staff helped my aunt after their passing. Anna was also a huge contributor to that healing process for her. It is a comfort to me that my aunt receives such high quality care. It certainly brings me peace and happiness that Anna is always there to support my loved one in any way possible.

I can not say enough positive things about Anna at the front desk. She is so kind, caring, and welcoming. She always greets me so warmly and inquires about my mother. She is happy to help me in any way, as well. She’s a gem and a beautiful reflection of the caring staff at Victoria Court. Rad, the maintenance man goes above and beyond to help me anytime I need anything done in my mother’s room. He hung pictures, connected her TV, painted, fixed her vanity door, the list goes on. He is so respectful and polite. Sue, the nurse, is an asset as well. She always responds to my emails and provides advice, assistance, and genuine support. Rhoda, the director was extremely helpful getting my mother acclimated and is always available to guide me. Katherine, the bookkeeper, helped me put my mother’s monthly fee on auto pay, which is so convenient. Vickie, the activities director, goes to the resident’s room to encourage them to participate in all the different programs. She is so passionate and devoted to the happiness of the residents. Ida, the CNA has been relentless in her attempt to help my mother assimilate into the community. Lori and Marie are housekeepers , and they embrace me with their kindness every time I see them. All the staff members are so approachable, helpful, and kind. It’s especially wonderful that they allow my King Charles Spaniel to visit. My mother lights up like a Christmas tree when she sees Midge! It’s a blessing to have this option. Of course it’s an extremely difficult decision to place a loved one in a ‘home’, however it gives me peace of mind to know my mother is safe and cared for by a dedicated staff.

One of the newer CNAs, Kristi, has been so lovely with my mom. She's reluctant to get out of her room and very modest and Kristi takes the time needed to get her up, dressed and out of the room so that she can participate in activities that she otherwise would not. I know it's hard to spend so much time with a resident, but at times like this, it makes a huge difference in the experience my mother is having at the facility.

After many years of caring for my mother-in-law at home, her Alzheimer’s disease progressed, and my father-in-law was forced to look for placement for her. A friend recommended Pacifica, and from the moment we walked through those doors, I felt like it was a home. Every member of the staff was kind and caring. I am an RN and have seen many facilities, and this one far exceeded my expectations. Although I was beyond impressed with the entire staff, Jan went above and beyond in her interactions with us. My father-in-law had many questions, and as you know, this is a very difficult decision, so we were very emotional as well. Jan was so caring and patient with all of us, but particularly my father-in-law. She took the time to answer all of his questions in such a loving way. She was able to help tremendously with fears he had that accompany a decision like this. She addressed these issues with such grace and kindness.I contacted her myself several times, and she never once made us feel like it was a bother, quite the contrary. Unfortunately my father-in-law is 85 and the facility was just a bit too far for him to make the drive daily to visit so in the end we chose a place a bit closer to their home. It was a very difficult decision. I truly cannot say enough good things about Jan and the staff at Pacifica, it made a time in our lives that was very difficult and sad much easier to bear. My husband, myself, and my father-in-law cannot recommend this facility enough. If you are looking for a place for your loved one and geographically it is a fit, look no further!

Three years ago we had to make a very difficult decision to place our mom in assisted living. She was in one facility for 6 months and we were very unhappy so we decided to move her to Pacifica Victoria Court. My boyfriends mom had been there and he highly recommended this facility. We met with them and moved her in within a couple of weeks. Everyone was so welcoming and compassionate starting with the first person you meet when you walk in, Anna the concierge. She made us feel like family and loved my mom from that moment. She loves and cares for all the residents and does her part to make sure they are safe and well cared for. The place is always clean, especially my moms room, thanks to Lori and Maria in housekeeping and laundry. They too treated my mom like family and always made sure her room and clothes were clean. My sister and I visited my mom almost everyday and when we couldn't make it they would send us pictures of her participating in activities and to let us know she was okay. We were very grateful that they were always watching out for her. Thank you!

This spring I was looking for an memory care assisted living facility for my Aunt. Within minutes of meeting Jan I felt very comfortable. The interactions I saw between staff and residents were friendly and respectful. The facility was wonderful. By the time Jan was finished showing us around and talking about the whole process, we were surprised that we had spent 3 hours there. Felt like home. Unfortunately, my aunt did not pass the assessment and we had to place her somewhere else. Jan was really great and is a wonderful asset to this industry. I feel like I made a friend that day.

I was searching for a facility for a loved one and I wanted a homey friendly environment. I had narrowed it to 4 facilities and had gone back for a tour at two of them. I saw Victoria court and decided I would just drive in and check one more place. The moment I stepped in the door I knew this was home. The first person I met was Anna who couldn't have been friendlier. She immediately notified Jan who came out immediately to meet me. She is extremely friendly,She spent over an hour touring the facility and readily answered any questions I had . She's kind and exudes a genuine warmth and love of the residents. As a disclaimer I am in the medical field and very alert to false actions. My decision was made based on these two staff people and almost a year later I have no regrets. The rest of the staff did not disappoint. I highly recommend this facility in my work to my patients families!

I have toured many facilities looking for a place for my brother, David, over the past 6 months and Pacifica Victoria Court is by far the best choice. I immediately clicked with Jan, and she is one of the most thoughtful and helpful people I've met throughout this difficult journey. I picked Pacifica within 5 minutes of meeting Jan. My brother wasn't ready to be placed yet due to some medication changes and Jan never gave up. She checked in with me and the hospital every week throughout the summer to see if David was ready to move in. It's finally time for him to be placed and Jan is my number 1 go-to person. She is an amazing advocate for her residents and their families. Knowing Jan is going to be on board and knowing I can call her for anything regarding my brother, is such a weight taken off of me. I've been alone in this but Jan has gotten me thru alot of bad days and I'm forever grateful. Pacifica is one of the most beautiful communities that I've toured, and the staff are wonderful, the activities are fun for everyone, etc. I'm truly blessed to have found a wonderful community and Jan, someone who goes above and beyond to make things happen. The location is perfect for me to visit my brother everyday if I want to, and that's important to me. This wouldn't be a possibility without Jan and the awesome staff that are so helpful and friendly. I'm looking forward to moving him in within the next week and I have faith that he will be well taken care of at Pacifica Victoria Court! Michele

Overall my experience with placing my mother at Victoria Court has been positive. The pros are so high that they outweigh the frustrations which I assume are similar for any adult child putting their parent into memory care. For example, I’d love more frequent updates like children get at day care. It often feels like a black hole and I don’t know how she’s doing as she’s so different when I am there since she’s so happy to see me. But it was a great time and place for her as I’ve had my own health challenges and know that she is safe, warm, clean and well fed with nutritious food. Some specific pros are that there are so many events and the days are kept busy and a few staff members in particular are amazing. I can’t help but mention two: Jan: a bright light. She made my choice easy as I said “If all staff is like her then this place is going to be amazing”. She is an absolute professional, answered all of my questions and did si promptly even after hours. Even after move in she would send me pictures and set me at ease that my mom was doing well. It’s always lovely to see her cheerful interaction with the residents! Anna: warm, caring and Oh so patient; and like Jan, sets me at ease reassuring me that the behavior changes are normal and that my mom is doing fine. I’ve observed her soft way with the residents and she is amazing.

I want to share how comfortable and secure my Mom's transition to Victoria Court has been. She had come from another facility where she had been for seven years and had been in the Memory Care for the last three. Her treatment there was not great. We first greeted by Jan whom was wonderful. She made my Mom feel at home. She is so gracious and warm. Certainly, the welcoming face of the facility. From them on we all have felt part of the Victoria Court family

Looked at several places for my mother but chose Victoria Court because it is a smaller and more intimate facility that provides a family-like atmosphere that I felt would be best. As expected, it took awhile for my mother to adjust...this is not an easy phase of life, but she is content now. There are activities every day and outings. My mom does not often participate -she seems happier staying in her room but that's her preference. Staff get to know the residents and family which is very nice. It sometimes takes a while to get questions answered or some minor situation taken care of but that is not a complaint- more f a reality in today's world. My mother is safe and feels cared for by staff.

I found it very difficult to find a community that I was willing to trust with my loved ones with. I looked at 6 communities before visiting Pacifica Senior Living at Victoria Court. However, when I met Jan and the staff, I knew I had found the right place for my parents. I could tell that they would truly and passionately take care of them. I also, felt that I met someone that could be new best friend when I met Jan and could tell her passion and caring for the residents and families was genuine. My parents have now been there a month and I have not been disappointed. I would recommend Pacifica to any of my family or friends that require their services. A big Thank you from me to all the staff at Pacifica. I am so happy A Place for Mom got me in touch with you.

Pacifica Senior Living, Victoria Court is an outstanding memory care assisted living home. I specifically typed in the word home because that is EXACTLY how they make the residents, family members feel. The staff’s knowledge and how they become to know each resident’s personal needs and wants is second to none. Alzheimers, dementia was new to our family, never thought in a million years this would happen. Trying to navigate the health care system, available resources when you have someone suffering from this disease takes all your energy. At Victoria Court, as soon as you enter the door, are greeted, you know you are not alone, your loved one is safe and you can just breathe. Every single staff member here should get the highest accolades. It takes a village, and that’s exactly what they all do here. My absolute sincerest gratitude for what you all do for my mom.

They have been amazing from even before my mom moved in. Kim bent over backwards to help us in a very dire situation. Every time I visit my mom, she talks about how there are so many fun things to do and the staff are incredibly sweet to her. Even though I miss her terribly, I feel confident that she is being treated with compassionate and respect.

I transferred my wife here two days ago. I was prepared for a potentially difficult time for my wife to leave the facility where she seemed content and fairly well adjusted, but the staff at Victoria Court did an amazing job of receiving her and introducing to the other residents that made her brighten up, smile and feel like this was her new home. Her furniture and belongings were quickly taken to her new quarters and set up with her involvement. Thanks to the staff, my fears over the move were turned into an far better experience than I could have imagined.

Pacifica Senior Living Victoria Court is one of my favorite places to visit!! The staff are extremely welcoming and compassionate to all of their residents and visitors. The place is always cleaned well and is beautiful inside, very spacious and a comfortable atmosphere. There is also a variety of fun activities such as band and singing entertainment, crafts, bingo, and many other fun games! The residents are always happy and smiling and are extremely well cared for. I 100% recommend this place to anybody who is thinking about having their loved ones live here.

When you tour assisted living facilities, they all say the same things about valuing each resident and preserving their dignity. The nicest thing about Victoria Court is that what they say on the tour is also what they do; it's not just advertising. They have the warmest, most compassionate and competent staff. They are truly like another family.

When I walked into Victoria Court my first day i felt like I was home. The staff is extremely friendly. Everyone has a smile on their face and are going out of their way to help! I could be more impressed with staff and management team at Victoria Court. Residents are well cared for, engaged, and given the freedom to use the whole building as their own space. Memory Care at its finest!
