Our family is deeply grateful for the exceptional care my dad received at Waldens III. He was treated with genuine kindness, dignity, patience, and respect”both emotionally and physically. Donna, the facility director/administrator, was compassionate, attentive, and supportive throughout my dad’s time there. Her leadership was clearly reflected in the way the entire staff cared for him and worked together as a team. All of the nurses were wonderful, but Anne deserves special thanks for the comfort, compassion, and personal attention she gave my dad. She also provided sincere concern and thoughtful guidance during a very complex family situation. The nurses cared not only for Dad’s physical and medical needs, but also offered emotional support, reassurance, and peace during an extremely difficult time. The med techs were equally caring and dedicated, particularly Brittany, whose kindness and attentiveness meant so much to our family. I could go on and name nearly every person who helped care for my dad”and honestly, I wish I could”because each person played an important role. While it is not practical to name everyone individually, I hope every nurse, med tech, aide, caregiver, hospice worker, administrator, and staff member knows just how important they were and how deeply appreciated they are. Knowing my dad was surrounded by people who truly cared about him gave our family tremendous peace of mind. We will always be thankful for the compassion, dignity, and excellent care he received.

Overall good experience, my mother stayed at this facility. I was sure this was 100% a safe establishment, when I spoke to multiple employees who you can tell work hard, and care about the residents. I also met a few residents at my time there visiting my mom. Everyone I spoke to seemed comfortable with their living situation.

My mother, who lived alone, fell and required 24/7 care. She needed physical therapy, occupational therapy, meals to be made for her and close supervision. She chose Walden III and it is perfect for her needs. Donna, the administrator, is a wonderful person. She knew my mother was very apprehensive about leaving her home and she handled my mother in a very caring way. The employees are fun loving and my mother looks forward to interacting with them daily. It’s a comforting feeling knowing that my mother is being treated and cared for with the respect that she deserves.

Walden Personal Care Home provides a warm, home-like environment for the aging population, offering private rooms along with inviting common areas where residents and their families can gather, share meals, and spend quality time together. Residents come together in the dining rooms for meals and enjoy a variety of indoor and outdoor activities or simply socialize over a game of cards. The staff at Walden is truly dedicated and compassionate, treating each resident with the same care and respect they would give to their own family members. Residents can comfortably age in place, with additional services provided as needed to ensure their well-being. Having had two family members at Walden, I can confidently say they both felt at home and thoroughly enjoyed their time there.

My husband and I would like to express how pleased we are with the care my mother received during the seven years she resided at Walden III. The staff is dedicated and friendly. They were very caring and patient with her, especially as her health declined. The facility made us aware of services that could be performed on site as well as programs that could make my mother’s stay more comfortable. They always decorate for holidays and have activities for the residents. We especially like that each resident has their own room which includes a bathroom, no sharing. We would highly recommend Walden III to anyone looking for an assisted living facility for a loved one. They will be well cared for.

Walden 3 is a home like environment with private rooms and common dining areas and living rooms where residents and families can gather to visit or eat a meal together. The residents gather at meal times in the dining rooms and activities, religious services, or just to chat and play cards. The staff is fully invested and caring for the residents who call Walden home. They treat each and every resident, as they would their own family member. Residents are allowed to age in place, and if additional services are required, they are provided on an as needed basis. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone requiring a personal care residence for their loved one.

Walden 3 is synonymous with home. The layout of the building reminds me of a house, rather than a faciltiy. The private rooms are cozy, complete with crocheted throws. There is always a place tucked away in the corner for families to spend time with their loved ones. My mom has been there for 15 months and she loves sitting on the porch chatting with the ladies. She enjoys the big breakfasts. hot meal midday, and light supper. It is how she ate when she was at home. Dr. Cesanek is very responsive and doesn't believe in polypharmacy. The staff take time to talk to my mom and I can tell that she has a place in their hearts. I can't say enough about how caring and patient the staff are. And this all comes together under the administrator, Donna Reed. She is accessible and always knows what is happening with the residents, which are more like her family. And her actions are swift when something needs to be addressed. I could not recommend this place more.

With the challenges of aging parents, Walden III has come through for my family. From the moment we set foot in the facility we were impressed by how active the building and its staff is. We were greeted with the utmost respect and courtesy. On the tour, we were impressed by how polite and accommodating everyone was. All of our questions were answered quickly and thoroughly. We felt an overwhelming sense of home and belonging right from the start. We observed activities going on by instructors who really seems to care about the residents they were engaging with. We are in the process of securing a room for my mother now and we could not be happier or feel more secure about our decision to go with Walden III. Special thanks to Donna for all you have assisted us with. We look forward to our time with you all.

I had a family member who was a recent resident at Walden III. This place has a welcoming staff, they are very kind and helpful. The apartments are very spacious. She had enough room for everything she needed. She had a great view out of her window and easy access to the outside to enjoy some fresh air. The facilities have comfy sitting areas for their residents and family members to sit and chat. The dining area is a pleasant place to sit, and the kitchen staff is very accommodating to their residents. They have invited us to stay and eat on many occasions. I would recommend this establishment if you're considering a place for your loved one to reside.

After reviewing several facilities, we decided on Walden III. It's been a short time for my Mom, however, she was given a warm welcome by Donna R. and the team. All staff members show care, comfort and kindness to the residents. No task is too small! The family picnic and musical/birthday celebration was awesome and made my Mom feel special. I am grateful to the Walden III team and highly recommend them!

When my mother in law moved in we were very happy to know she was more motivated and involved in activities and eating wonderful meals. No more worries of her living alone. A great peace of mind. Donna was also amazing keeping us updated and answered any questions or concerns while my MIL lived there over the years. Very happy.

My 95 year old mother lost her husband four years ago and could no longer live alone. She was depressed and not eating properly and could no longer keep up with the housekeeping. We began our search of assisted living facilities in the Lehigh Valley and after an exhausting search we found a beautiful gem beneath the Blue Mountain called Walden III. She has been a resident at Walden for three years now and both my mother and I are very pleased with the care she receives there. She really likes the friendly and caring staff at Walden. She raves all the time about the food! She also loves her private room and the activities that are offered almost daily. Their in-house hair salon is a big plus also. The best part is there are no stairs or elevator for her to deal with. Donna and her staff are very responsive and caring. We are so pleased with the care she receives at Walden III. Thank you Donna and Staff!

After living at Walden III for over 7 years I can attest to the personal care, special to each person here. Activities are varied and excellent. The food is very good with special needs as well as regular meals presented with eye appeal. Of course, there are always ways to improve the surroundings which is ongoing. All in all I would not to hesitate to reccomend this facility as a very good one.

My mother has been living at Walden for about 6 months. I placed her at Walden because of several reasons. We had already placed my wife's mother there about 2 years ago and she lives in an independent apartment. I approached Donna, the administrator, about my mom and she took me on a tour of the main facility and several independent apartments. Donna helped me with all the transition necessities and made it pretty easy to get my mom into Walden, including a hospital visit where she introduced herself and got to know my mom and her level of care need and more importantly easing some of the tension that my mom was feeling with all of the changes occurring in her life. Initially my mother lived in a 2 level townhouse apartment which she loved having had to downsize from a 3000 sf home. Then about 2 months ago an opening occurred within the main building and she moved into an apartment there. Now she has 24 hour supervision, her medications are given to her and she eats her meals with other people providing a great social atmosphere. She has advancing dementia and inside she gets the cuing and supervision she needs yet has the independence to come and go from her apartment. We had the usual initial hurdles with her resisting the move from "my beautiful home" but are now at "I am glad we did this. The people here are so nice here and the food is really good." My wife and I have the added advantage of having "the moms" at one location and they being only 1 year apart in age get along great and have a lot of laughs together. And mom is making friends with other residents. My wife and I have always been amazed by her mother's 1 bedroom independent apartment. It has a great setup with a washer/dryer and nice U shared kitchen and most everything is included in 1 price which makes it easy to manage on the financial side. The staff bring her meals to the apartment daily. When we took the initial tour for her mom and saw the apartment I told her(my wife) "Damn I could live here" and she responded "right?" My mother has lived here since 2017. It was difficult to leave her home but she adjusted quickly because she still felt at home. Finding somewhere safe for my mom was difficult especially since we were moving her from out of state so she could be closer to me. She is recovering from a fall where she fractured her pelvis, when she first entered Walden III in July 2022 she could hardly walk to the bathroom (with the use of a walker) and she never left her room, now 30 days later she walking down the hall (with her walker) and even going outside and enjoying the facilities activities. I can not thank Walden III staff and the PT staff for helping my mom get her independence back.

My mother moved to Walden shortly after my father passed away 7 years ago. The staff has been remarkable and extremely compassionate. My siblings and I could never have given her the level of care she’s received from her Walden family. I am still amazed that during the height of Covid they were able to keep all the residents safe with not a single one contracting it. It was a difficult time for everyone not being able to visit their loved ones but they did it right. I still remember the little parade they had for the residents sitting outside while the family members drove through the parking lot with banners of their names and all we could do was wave to our loved ones as we passed by in the car. They go above and beyond in the care they give. The kitchen staff, housekeeping, and all the medical staff who take care of her are wonderful. In 7 years, I have not had a single complaint. Whatever we ask of them, it gets done.

My sister is a resident of Walden III and I can't believe the wonderful care she receive. She was in a rehab and abuse. When I called and reported the poor treatment she was receiving they said send her home and we will take care of her. When she return all staff welcome her home. With the positive attitude they gave her the physical therapy her recovery was incredible. She was walking and her attitude was positive. This was family to her and I don't have worry. I would recommend this place to anyone and I do.

Walden III has been the answer to my prayers. A few months ago, my sister called and told me that her and her husband wanted to move back home. She asked me to find them a place to live where he could be in assisted living, since he was in hospice. She had been caring for him on her own and needed support. Once I visited Walden III, I knew it was the perfect place for them. They both loved it there. My brother in law has since passed away but the last weeks of his life were made very comfortable because of the loving care he received. The sympathy, love and support my sister has received from Donna and her amazing staff has just been incredible. It's like being surrounded by a very loving family.

My wife and I moved into Walden III shortly before the Covid19 lock down of 2020. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's And Dementia and of course needed assistance. Our stay here has been excellent. The staff is headed by a working administrator, who is not afraid to assist her staff in the proper attention and care of each resident, as needed and then some. There are many well rounded activities, from the ever popular never to be missed bingo, to coloring, sing-a-longs, trivia, Bible studies, and other crafts, to keep the mind stimulated. The lawn is expansive and equipped with benches and lawn chairs and periodically there is the outdoor picnic lunch. Outside entertainers are also on schedule at regular intervals, particularly for the monthly birthday party.

Took my mother here for a tour. The apartments on the outside of the main building were nice, but the main building carpeting was in dire need of vacuuming and there was a cat laying on the washing machine and another one in the hallway. The food they served us for lunch was sub par. They gave my mom and I a big piece of Kielbasi with a small dish of canned corn and some old roasted potatoes that tasted like moth balls. The desert was a stale piece of boston cream pie. The Manager asked us how we liked the place. My 95 yr. old mother, who is with it, gave him 2 thumbs down. We then asked the people there if they liked the food and all we heard was crickets. They need to get better food and keep the place a little cleaner if they want to get the money they are asking for.
