My mom decided to place her aunt at Locust Grove and has had nothing but a great experience. The entire building is extremely clean and the staff very friendly! Erin Hudson went above and beyond expectations in organizing the paperwork, transportation, and room setup over the past few weeks. We highly recommend!!!

Stephanie at Locust Grove Personal Care Home is an absolute jewel. Our family had to make some difficult decisions regarding our mother's care and Stephanie helped us tremendously. I phoned Stephanie several times over 3 months and every time she provided me with the answers my family needed. If you are thinking of making Locust Grove the home for your loved one you have chosen the best of the best. Stephanie and the entire staff have the heart of an angel. Thank you for always being there.

Locust Grove is in our familys past history as an elementary school ‘way back when. In its new life Locust Grove has been ‘home for our family member since 2014. Management staff, frontline staff, and contract staff have consistently shown sincere dedication to her well-being and have been willing to address - resolve any of our issues or concerns. Although we have had contact with MANY of the hard-working staff since 2014, we have come to know, value, and respect the individuals who have been most involved in her affairs: Michael Christine Veronica Marion Patti Heather Dominique Lexi Victoria Erin Mary Ashley Jim AJ Debbie John Chris Jean Tracy Miranda Kelli

I would like to commend Michael Koons for his continuing professional efforts relating to my aunt Mary Balombiny a resident of Locust Grove. When Mary decided that she couldnt stay in her West Mifflin home, together we explored several options. Michael was sales director at that time and he advised us of the pluses and minuses to go through before making our decision. He was thoughtful, caring and patient. When we decided on Locust Grove, he handled all of the paperwork and moving in arrangements. Now that he is executive director, I can always rely on him to answer all of my questions quickly and honestly. Michaels a good man who cares for people. The fact that hes a Penn State graduate has nothing to do with my above recommendation. Go State.

Our staff is always wonderful, but during this lond period of isolation, they have done a fine job of keeping us safe and healthy, with no cases of covid-19, thanks mainly to our executive director <Michael Koons, who made sure we stuck to all the rules imposed by corporate, as much as we disliked those rules, and tried to find a way around them. The activities department, namely, JoAnn Manor, snd Deborah Eads,t also did a great job of keeping our spirits lifted by providing us with a wide choice of snacks on most evenings, those snacks were provided by John the Dietary Manager, always a bonus to our community is John of Maintenance department who drives the van, who efficiently makes appointments, and drives us to them in aaaaa timely fashion, he is kind, compassionate, friendly, and an all-around wonderful man, my sister who met me at one of my appointments, snd had the opportunity to speak with and get to know John a little, told me as we left, that I am lucky to have him, she is so right. John the dietary manager did a great job of providing timely hot meals through the pandemic, and had his staff well organized to do that,he was also adept at getting us back to the dining room for lunch, although it was quite a transition, he and his staff handled it well, aides are, of course, one of the most important group of staff for keeping our lives at Locust Grove West Mifflin pleasant and running smoothly, in my opinion, among the best, whose last names I do not know are Megan, who always takes exceptional care in assisting me, and, Jessica, who has helped me in many ways beyond her job description, in the housekeeping department Brandy, who I believe all residents will agree is amazing at keeping our apartments on a daily basis. She is friendly and efficient, as well as thorough. All in all Locust Grove West Mifflin is the best of the four assistive living communities in which I have lived.

My parents are both residents of Locust Grove. It is unfortunate that we have been locked out since March, but they have done an amazing job keeping all the resident safe. Not one case of Covid!! They continue to come up with new ways for family to visit at a 6ft distance and try to keep everyone active during the day – sitting on the patio, holding sing-alongs, playing games, etc. While they cant be with their blood families, they are receiving great care and love from their Locust Grove family – they have been our angles during this pandemic.

September 2020
I think Locust Grove is a great place to work. Our staff is caring, compassionate and loyal to the residents and families that we get the pleasure to have in our lives. The rewards of working with the residents and families out way the tough days. When you hear laughter when reminiscing with the residents and learning so many new things about their upbringing is truly amazing. This pandemic has made obstacles in everyday life however we stayed strong and will continue working through them. Also thank you for sharing and trusting your loved ones with us to love.
September 2020
A family friend has been in your facility for some years now. In all the time Ive been visiting, I have been consistently impressed by the caring, competent staff and the maintenance of the facility. While it is sad to see our friend deteriorate secondary to Alzheimers disease, it is of great comfort to know that her personal and medical needs are attended to by such a dedicated, compassionate staff. I am especially impressed by the fact that in this challenging time of Covid-19, not one case has occurred among your residents and staff, a testament to your rigorous standards and your commitment to the community. As a former health care worker, I know only too well how difficult it is to maintain a safe environment in the face of an onslaught of a virulent pathogen I have, and will continue to tout your establishment to others. Thank you for all that you do.
September 2020
I cant even begin to say enough about this place. My mom gets great care and also is treated like family by the staff. It has helped to know that during the pandemic my mom is getting love along with her care. Kudos to all the memory care staff especially Kayla, Heather , Victoria, Brittany, and Patti.

I have to say DO NOT LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. If you did a tour and find a a place that is filthy and smells like urine then why put your loved one into a place like that? Both my mom and grandmother were at Locus Grove. We did a tour with one of the staff members. The place is bright and cheerful and the residence were up and about. And no we were not greeted with the smell of urine. It looked and smelled clean. The rooms were big and reminded me of home. The staff was friendly and went out of their way to help us during such a stressful time. Common sense says tour a facility before you have to bring a loved one to it.

I love this place! Great service!

Fantastic, caring staff. Nothing but helpful, kind, and problem-solving. Only critique is that I've had to leave voice messages on occasion, which was initially disconcerting, but calls have always been returned promptly.
