October 2024
The Leland of Laurel Run is not a good place to work. It is a big game a favoritism and they don't take newcomers seriously. I was in housekeeping for 3 months and hated every minute of it. When I came to them with concerns about the building and was never taken seriously. There are big rats and cockroaches and places where water floods in when it rains a lot. The building is over 100 years old and everything that has to be done is covered with paint. I do not recommend sending your parents or grandparents there because they will end up sitting in their soiled brief if they are in memory care. Most of the staff members are disrespectful to the residents and aren't very nice when someone requests something. Listen carefully STAY AWAY FROM THE LELAND!!!

I'll just say it this way, after this place I made the decision to pursue another line of work. This place is unprofessional to the point where residents feel uncomfortable, things don't get done properly, management will have meetings but there are no changes or solutions made, and the amount of drama and intimacy between employees is crazy. It's the Leland's loss! They lost a good worker last night. Crazy that they only give an $1 raise to be a med tech. You're insane. I'm from Maryland and they give wayyy better raises! No job is worth all the stress energy and hostility. Plain and simple. Think twice before applying here!

I went to visit my Uncle for the first time at the Leland since he moved there. The place is so nice looking and very clean. The staff are all friendly and treat my uncle with respect. Other places haven't been a good fit, but here he is truly HOME.

My grandma, Mary spent the last several years at the Leland. She passed away last month in the memory care unit at the age of 99 1/2. The nurses and other staff members treated her like family! We were blessed to have her at such a loving caring place! I would highly recommend the Leland for all of your loved ones needs!

I can honestly say that this place is a five star. My mother was there for a short time until she fell, and had to go into a skilled care nursing home, but why she was there she was happy . she loved all the staff they were so kind to her. my mother enjoyed the food, the activities and the care that she got. They were so great with the family I know every time something would happen, good or bad they were always contacting me. They have great communication with the families. It saddens my heart that my mother was unable to come back here. so if you're thinking of bringing your love one here, I suggest you do it you couldn't find a better place for your love ones

I am giving The Leland of Laurel Run 5 stars! My mother was well taken care of and I was always informed of any needs or changes in her condition. The Leland is affordable and offers excellent care. My mother had hospice services there and The Leland staff cooperated fully with that. Their communication with me was always timely! I am so thankful to have had The Leland for my mother's care!
