We had a lovely tour about a year ago. It was for respite initially for my LO who lives with us. Social worker was very pleasant, seemed concerned about our issues with this level of care, assured us our LO would be a good fit, etc, etc. Then when I contacted her later in the year for a respite, she did not reply to my emails or return my calls. When I persisted, it was like I was talking to a different person. She was rude, abrupt, told me she had many admissions since that time and wasn't sure she would have a bed. I was following her instructions as to when to reach out to schedule a respite. She said she would write the specific date on her calendar, closer to when we needed care, and contact me then. Needless to say I never heard back from her. If this is how Allied is run, it is not about the patients or residents. It's all about filling beds.
