I toured Maidencreek Place earlier this year and immediately fell in love with its charm. During my visit, I had the opportunity to meet the entire team, from the housekeeping staff to the Executive Director, and everyone was incredibly welcoming and caring. My stepfather eventually moved into the community and truly enjoyed his experience there. The staff encouraged him to try new activities while also giving him the time and support he needed to adjust at his own pace. Visiting him was always convenient, with parking located just steps from the building. The single-floor layout also made it easy for him to move around independently and comfortably. I highly recommend Maidencreek Place to anyone looking for a warm, supportive, and welcoming senior living community.

At this time we are very pleased with the care our mother is given at Maidencreek Place. There were a few hiccups with some items needing attention (hence the 4 star rating), but it appears that those things have been corrected and we are very happy.

My mother entered Maidencreek Place June 2025. She was unable to return to her own home because of mobility issues and lived alone. We were so happy to talk to Theresa and Amber and they showed us around. They were so welcoming. Theresa was so friendly and professional and was the deciding factor for our decision to pick this facility. This was the perfect fit because it was like her home. It was all one level and had a very warm and welcoming appearance. ALL the staff were amazing, especially Dallas. Jeremiah, JuJu, Maddy, Bre, Nikki, and Nicole are just a few of the many friendly staff members. Jordy from the business office has been so helpful and Robin ,staff nurse, has had an open line of communication with me. My mother had tremors with her hand and it was very difficult for her to eat without the food falling off. All the staff from the kitchen, especially Nancy, went above and beyond to accommodate her needs. Catharine and Nate from dietary have helped her with her special coffee she enjoys. We appreciate all the care and extra TLC she has been receiving. Also, Crystal is very welcoming when you first enter the facility and always greets you with a smile. The activities are very organized and my mom really enjoys playing Bingo! There also is an inhouse therapy, if needed, which my mom has used. Stella(PT) and Dana(OT) are wonderful, professional and very friendly and excellent at their job. My mother went from a wheelchair when she entered, to walking to the dining room with a walker by herself. She has developed close bonds with the women at her dining table and I love to see her interacting with them. They also have a luncheon out at a restaurant each month and this has been a very enjoyable experience for my mom. I cannot express enough how much I appreciate each and every staff member who has shown compassion and caring for my mother's transition from home to an assisted living facility. I highly recommend Maidencreek Place for your loved one. Just know they will be well taken care of by all.

After visiting a few other facilities we choose Maidencreek Place for our mom because of the quaint layout of the facility and her own living area. Everything is on one floor and very easy to get around. We met some of the residents and staff and we could see how friendly, caring and supportive everyone was. They have wonderful activities throughout the day, which is something mom enjoys, and family is always welcomed to come by and join in. We are very happy knowing that our mom is in a safe and caring facility with staff who got to know not just our mom, but also her family.

My wife has been at Maidencreek Place for many months due to nerve damage to her lower legs. While she would rather be at home, she has said many times that if she had to be elsewhere, Maidencreek is the best. The staff is kind and caring, the food is very good and there are many activities for residents including those in wheelchairs. They will provide care for various levels of need and respond quickly when called. The overall atmosphere at Maidencreek Place is uplifting. RJK

Maidencreek is a lovely location. Each department is equally vital and collaborates to better serve the city and its residents. The dietary department's freshly baked cookies, maintenance's cleaning and tidying, nurses' warmth, and concierge's friendly greetings all contribute to a welcoming environment. The executive director, who controls everything, is an important component of the heart of Maidencreek. From the furthest reaches of the business office to the payroll manager, each complements the other. And they all keep an eye out to assist serve and protect everyone who lives there. A truly special community.

My mom has been there a few years now and likes the smaller size of the facility which feels more homey. She has made some good friends with other residents. The staff have always been super helpful and pleasant. They keep the residents busy and at the facility with activities and also field trips to places.

We moved my mother into this place back in September, and from day one Maidencreek Place has surpassed our expectations. They have a great group of aids helping the residents. The kitchen group is great, the meals they prepare for the residents are very good. Just this past Thanksgiving, my wife and myself went in for family night and had a sit down meal with our loved one and the meal was delicious. The activities they have for the residents is wonderful. Every Monday, Wednesday and IFridayI would is bingo day which is a big hit with the residents and now for my wife and myself. The rooms for the residents are roomie and can be decorated however the residents want, to help them feel like home. They work with you when it comes to getting your loved ones to doctor appointments or other types of appointments. A couple weeks they took a group of residents, one of them was my mom, to the Fairgrounds Farmers Market for a day out. She had such a great time since she has not been there for over 20 plus years. Trinnity, is a wonderful asset to that place. If we have any questions or concerns, we can email, text, or talk to her face to face and she gets our questions and concerns resolved in a timely manner. I would recommend this facility to others for their loved ones.

We found Maidencreek Place to be a delightful, caring, bright atmosphere and very caring staff. We had a meeting there to discuss placement for our mother, and even though it didn't work out for her right now, we would not hesitate to recommend you check this facility out before making any decisions for your loved ones

Hannah Shaaber at the front desk is an absolute delight. There have been multiple times I have seen and heard her interact with residents and she goes above and beyond her job title. She is so kind, loving, and interactive with all the residents. It warms my heart to have such a compassionate person working here. Its hard to find such loving people these days and Maidencreek is lucky to have scooped her up!

In theory, Maidencreek Place is a great facility, with much to commend it. However, just after Thanksgiving 2020, they suffered a major outbreak of Covid - someone on staff told me that about a dozen staff members and ~30 residents were infected, though I’ve never seen those numbers published. My father was among those residents who were infected. I called them several times in the following days to monitor his condition. It appeared the staff wasn’t checking his temperature very frequently, and I had to specifically request for them to check his blood oxygen level. Six days after his positive result he was transported to Reading Hospital - by then, on top of Covid he had sepsis and was nearly in renal failure due to dehydration. They did not manage this situation well at Maidencreek. My dad passed away 5 weeks later, without his family with him. Based on obituaries in the Reading Eagle, several other residents perished due to this failure. So take this into account when deciding on placing any of your loved ones at Maidencreek.

My mom moved in to maidencreek place in the middle of June during the middle of the Covid pandemic. Everything went very smoothly during her move. All necessary precautions were taken to keep her safe as well as the other residents. She was very skeptical about giving up her independence and moving into an assisted living facility. Since she has been there she has adjusted to the new environment. She has since made friends there and enjoys having people to talk to instead of being in her home all alone. She is always telling me how nice everyone is. She likes the food as well. I have not heard 1 complaint from her yet!! It gives me piece of mind to know that she is safe and well cared for.

My grandmother has lived at Maidencreek Place for a little over two years and I couldn't be happier! Let me start by saying this is beautiful and cozy facility - the individual rooms are a very comfortable size to put not only the necessary pieces of furniture, but also additional furniture and photos/artwork we brought from her house to make it feel more like home. The staff is wonderful - so friendly, caring, and fun! I struggled with having to move her from her home to Maidencreek Place, but I am so happy I did! I know she is in very good hands!!! Whenever I have questions, I call and get the answers I need. I HIGHLY recommend this facility!

My mother has been a happy resident at Maidencreek Place for the past 5 years. She is well cared by a friendly, caring and competent staff. Although my mother had grave misgivings about making this her new hone... she would never want to leave. The care, the activities, the staff and the limited number of residents (less than 60) that share the space has provided her with a warm and secure feeling that she now considers home. My family and I feel very fortunate to have placed her at Maidencreek Place.

Maidencreek Place is a wonderful community where my aunt Doris resides. I have found the staff, caring and attentive. There is never a frown to be found. With the restrictions that there are now, they have stepped up to make sure that everyone is safe and secure. The activities are great and the food is really good. I can't wait to be able to go back inside and see everyone. The residents are extremely happy living here! Great job Maidencreek Staff!

Great, friendly staff, walked in one day to hearing a John Denver tribute musician rocking away and all the happy faces in the crowd lit up to the classic upbeat music. Relaxing, beautiful, and well kept atmosphere.
