I highly recommend Berkshire Commons to anyone who needs personal or memory care. My mother was a resident for close to 5 years . Most recently, they effectively coordinated my mother's end of life with Serenity Hospice. Both organizations did an amazing job. I am so grateful for their unending compassion, dignity, medical care and family support.

My wife is well taken care of . She seems happy with staff and activities. She is always dressed properly and room is clean and tidy. Staff is friendly and welcoming with a family feel . I feel secure when leaving that she is taken care of properly . I can no longer provide all her needs myself and Berkshire commons fills that requirement .

Recently, My father-in-law moved into BC, and Ashlee and staff couldn't have been better helping him and us with this life transition. The facility is beautiful, my father-in-law loves his new space, and our family can now breathe a little easier knowing that he is safe and well taken care of going forward. Highly recommended!!

I deliver medical equipment to Berkshire Commons on a regular basis and the staff is always so pleasant and helpful. I need to single out Zara(receptionist). It is nice to walk through the front door and know she always greets everyone with a friendly smile and kind words.

Just moved our mom into Berkshire Commons, and the experience has been wonderful so far. Sherry and Ashlee have been incredibly supportive every step of the way, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. Since we live out of state, their help has meant even more to us and they’ve truly gone above and beyond. The staff is compassionate, attentive, and genuinely caring. We’re so grateful to have found such a great place for her.

I am very happy with the help and care i am receiving at Berkshire Commons beginning with Ashlee Bear who worked with me every step of the way with patience, understanding and guidance in my search for my Sister's care. The nurses and aide staff have been wonderful and attentive to my sister’s physical and emotional needs making her feel calm, comfortable and safe. This includes the front desk assistant and all of the program directors who are welcoming caring and kind. I also want to thank the amazing maintenance director Ed who went above and beyond to have our room ready for us at such short notice. I am very thankful we made the move to Berkshire Commons.

From the very start when we met with Ashlee, we were impressed with how engaged the staff was with all of the residents. We loved loved loved the room layouts and for our parents moving in as a couple after living in their rancher home for over 35 years, space was so important to them. After moving in, their new apartment already feels like home and the care they are getting is incredible and lifts a weight off of our shoulders (their children) when trying to give them the best care and juggle our own families at the same time. We would recommend Berkshire Commons to anyone who is looking to provide a peaceful and loving place for your parent(s) to continue living life to their fullest regardless of their health issues as this place will provide the best they can to help make that happen!!

Berkshire Commons is a very nice clean senior assistant living facility.The staff is very friendly and helpful.When looking for a place to put my husband’s sister and brother-in-law, I reached out to Berkshire Commons for information about their facility. I was directed to a wonderful person by the name of Ashlie, after talking with her she suggested that we come in for a tour of the facility.While talking with Ashlie is was very obvious to us that she was very knowledgeable and compassionate about her job and you could tell that she cares about the residence of Berkshire Commons.

Though only for a short time our family experience was great with the staff. They treated my father like family and couldn’t have been any more welcoming. Everyone was kind and professional. Great value for the cost. The staff and services provided were excellent. Special shout-out to Ashlee Baer. She did a great job getting my father set up on very short notice. I would highly recommend Berkshire Commons. From the moment we contacted them regarding Memory Care services for my father, Ashlee and the entire team were incredibly responsive and helpful. The facility has a wonderful homey feel, is incredibly clean, and you are greeted by a smiling and friendly staff at every corner. Ashlee in particular was a fantastic and compassionate companion as we went through this process. I really can't imagine anywhere being more helpful and welcoming. Just great!

I can’t say enough great things about Berkshire Commons. I wish we had known of this place years ago. The entire staff, special shout out to Ashlee, is wonderful. You actually sense their compassion and care for their residents and their actions just confirm it even more. We just moved my mom into assisted living from another facility that sadly was all about the money and overstepping their bounds without family knowledge or approval. At Berkshire I feel like I’m coming into my home the minute I walk through the main door. The residents are pleasant and engaging and the atmosphere is cheerful and relaxing. I have no doubt that mom will thrive here with all the staff, services, care, and assistance. I would highly recommend this facility for anyone needing a nice place for themselves or a family member.

Admission staff (Ashlee and Sherry) were extremely helpful during this difficult time of transferring my dad into an assisted living facility. I can’t imagine them being more helpful: they handled all the medical info and made Dad feel very, very welcomed!!! The facility is incredibly clean and the food is excellent So many more positive things I could say - great facility!!!

My 91 year old mother who lived 60 miles away from the closest of her children, swore she would never leave her home of 67 years. When circumstances made it impossible for her to remain living alone, I began to look for assisted living near me in Reading. I toured two homes and found one to be interesting but a little further away from me than I wanted and the other was a flat out NO WAY after we completed our tour. I was beginning to doubt my decision to move Mom away from her life time home but then I spoke to Angela at Berkshire Commons, which is only a mile from my home. Angela provided thoughtful, thorough and prompt answers to my questions and we made arrangements for a tour. My husband and I were impressed with the tour and I was beginning to relax about my decision to move Mom when Angela took us into one of the available rooms. I knew at that moment that Mom belonged there. The rooms were bright and cheery and spacious and I fell in love with them right away. I was so excited to get Mom, who was still doubtful that she needed assistance for day to day living, in to see her new home but when she walked in the door, I knew we had made the right decision. She was thrilled with her rooms and today, six months later, she says that she loves her home. If there was one complaint that she had as she adjusted to a fairly carefree life, it was that she had TOO much help for the first month or two of her stay. The entire staff bent over backwards to assess Mom's needs and help her adjust and they were constantly in and out of her rooms, keeping her company and brightening her day. I think that the staff is a reflection of the home's director, Kate Fisher, who has provided me with answers and assistance whenever I asked for something. I am so relieved to know that Mom is constantly being monitored and that I no longer have to worry about her falling and not being found for several days. She has people to talk to, activities to participate in and someone to clean her rooms and make her food. The choice to move Mom from her home was a tough one but I KNOW we made the right one with Berkshire Commons.

We have been blessed to have such a caring staff to assist my mom. The Berkshire Commons crew has been a Godsend during the pandemic; resulting in the lowest infected rate and no harmful effects on their patients-protecting them/themselves with exceptional protocols. My mom experienced some minor to major crises and each event was handled with urgency and professional directive to insure maximum care. I cannot applaud the Berkshire Commons staff enough.

If you ever get a chance to look at their facebook page you will be truly amazed at the fun things the residents and staff do on a daily basis. The staff cares for their residents and treats them like family. It takes a special person to be a care giver and they are full of special people at this care site. I know that any member of my family would fit in here. I have no concerns about leaving my father in their care.

The staff here is absolutely amazing. It was so amazing to see how they care for the residents as if they were family! Berkshire Commons adult care facility proves to be a fantastic service oriented organization with a personal focus. The care unit substantiates it's mettle in the care of the residents during the COVID19 pandemic. Driven by a staff attentive on the residents needs in an uncertain environment and a resident population which is confused and lonely as a result of of current isolation restrictions. The term "above and beyond" does not express their efforts while supplying comfort and adhering to care guidlines. Increased communication via net meetings and newsletter reporting is a godsend for family peace of mind in a challenging time.
