We are grateful for the assistance that Homewatch CareGivers provided our mom over the course of the final year of her life. As our mom's condition deteriorated, we (her daughters) continued to reassess and adjust her care levels to respond to her increased need--and our evolving understanding of it. This fluid nature of providing for her needs meant that our requests of Homewatch were dynamic, as well. Ray and Stacey (in the office), and the caregivers with whom we worked directly, were extremely gracious, responsive, and flexible as they provided additional shifts, specific caregivers, etc. to meet our needs. Although we had one caregiver through them who we would not hire again, the rest of the caregivers were incredibly compassionate and skilled. Two of our favorite caregivers ever, Halima and Jill, were from Homewatch CareGivers, and we will forever be grateful that they came into our mother's (and our) lives. Our mother suffered extraordinary chronic pain that doctors didn't figure out, and was not well managed, for a long time, making basic movement and activities difficult and somewhat traumatic. Halima and Jill in particular were exceptionally skilled in helping our mom despite her pain, giving her meals, bathing her, getting her out to enjoy sitting on the patio, providing sweet and loving companionship, and trying heroically to beat her at Chinese checkers. 🙂 We are so thankful for the flexible, generous assistance that Homewatch provided our family--and for the loving, caring, skilled, reassuring care their providers gave our mom in her final months and days.

Ray was a lifesaver to me and my family during a very difficult time. My mother who suffered from late stage Alzheimer’s and dementia was living with me and required 24 hour care. I had been working with an agency that had been very difficult to say the least, and the situation was very stressful. Ray and his team were so professional and caring, and instantly made things better for us all. The caregivers that we had were all wonderful, providing excellent services and were very reliable. Ray and his team were always quick to respond to any questions that I had, and were accommodating with every request that I had. My time with him and his agency wasn’t very long, as we sadly lost my mother on Christmas Day, but I was very grateful to have found him. I contacted multiple other agencies who were unable to provide 24 hour care, and Ray took the time to make sure that he gave us the best caregivers for our situation. Contacting Homewatch was the best decision I had made. I received prompt response when scheduling an interview. Ray was truly professional thoughout the in-home interview, and understood the level of care we were requesting. After Ray meet my father, he was able to develop a plan of care to meet my father's needs and ours. He communicated at times by texting, which put me at ease in receiving quick responses. The caregivers were truly compassionate, professional and knowledgeable in caring for my father. I myself work in the health care system and I was truly impressed with the caregivers training.

Through the past six years he provided care for my mother and father with the utmost personal attention. He exceeded my high standards by providing excellent caregivers who went above and beyond in their care for my parents. My mother had multiple severe physical health problems and my father has dementia, but at all times their needs were met with the best skill and compassion. When we need to make adjustments to the schedule, our requests are honored promptly. We have been blessed with several wonderful caregivers who provide consistency and compassion to our loved one. Thanks, Home Watch, for all you do! 8-21-2020We are grateful to the caregivers who have provided companionship to our loved one over the past couple of months. The compassion and enthusiasm of most of our caregivers is to be highly commended. We also appreciate the office staff for their accommodations and flexibility when making schedule changes.

I am the primary caregiver for my 95 year old mother who I moved out of an assisted living facility to live with me in March 2019. I work full time as a Physical Therapist. I started having Homewatch Caregivers for my mom two months ago after a less then optimal caregiving experience from another agency. I feel as though we have elevated the level of caregivers two fold with Homewatch Caregivers. All the caregivers are very professional and quite comfortable and confident with any caregiving responsibilities. Ray, the owner, is an amazing combination of professionalism and compassion. He and his staff have worked very hard to ensure my mom has the coverage she needs even when I need time away on a weekend requiring 24 hour care. As a healthcare professional I have high expectations for those who care for my mom and Homewatch is my recommended company.

Ray and his team provided outstanding care for my dad the last 3 weeks of his life. We were looking for night care. Ray provided caregivers that were respectful and compassionate. They listened to our direction and kept us informed of any changes! They kept a diary for continuity of care between us and next shift caregivers. There was no reservation of having them in our home. I am a RN and feel I set the bar pretty high! Ray and Stacy were instrumental in letting us know of shifts and caregivers names.He was able to provide care for all shifts needed. Ray was awesome with my 83 year old mom and explaining the contract. He was clear on what care could and could not be provided. He cares about his employees and looks out for their safety! Ray met with us and assessed our needs after my husband suffered a stroke. Ray was able to provide care givers as needed, and often last minute - which greatly eased our transition from months in the hospital to allow us to bring my husband home. The caregivers were all professional and attentive. Ray was always available for support, even after my husband returned to the hospital and remained in nursing home care. I highly recommend Homewatch Caregivers. They were extremely helpful when my mother-in-law needed 24 and 12 hour care. All of the caregivers that came to her apartment were prompt, polite and well trained. We relied heavily on them and they came through for us. Some caregivers went above and beyond their responsibilities in caring for her. Ray Medina put together a great office team as well (they had to deal with last minute hospital-rehab release and make sure there was a caregiver to report for duty). We will definitely use them again.

He took time with the family to learn about our mothers situation and he made sure he selected the perfect caregiver for our mom. Even the office staff is top notch. My sisters and I were lucky enough to find Ray Medina and his team of caregivers to assist in my mothers transition from rehab to home following a fractured hip. I cannot say enough about the professional, respectful, and caring attitude that Ray has had in planning and implementing the care for my mother. My mother is fiercely independent and it was not always an easy venture for the caregivers to assist her. But we were able to get her back in her home, and back to her previous level of daily functioning with the services provided by Homewatch Caregivers. My mother really thrived under the caregivers assistance, and although we could not convince her to keep caregivers in place permanently, I would not hesitate to enlist their help in caring for my mother in the future. I am so very grateful for the care and ease in scheduling that was provided. Ray and his team are the best!

If I could give 10 stars I would. I hired Homewatch CareGivers of North Hills because my daughter had a complicated surgery in her knee. I live out of state and had to stay in a hotel for the recuperation time with her.I thought I could take care of my daughter until she came out of the hospital and I found myself having trouble helping my daughter get out of bed,, basic things we take for granted. I called in panic mode his office and I spoke with Ray the owner immediately. He thankfully was able to to met with me the same day. Now a days only machines answer and you get transfer from department a to department b never actually speaking to a person. In the other hand Ray actually came to meet us at the Hotel and arranged the right care for my daughter giving us confidence to find the right care right away. The team worked very hard to find the best nurses for my daughter needs in such a short period of time. Ray told me you are in great hands and he was right. We met the most caring nurses. They knew what to do right away and gave my daughter and I the confidence to handle what ever was coming our way. Cynthia, Chanda, Alexandra and Diana were amazing. They not only have the knowledge but they go the extra mile to help. They made this stressful experience be more easy going and in return it help my daughter stand up faster, and moved faster. The doctors were impressed with her recuperation. If you are uncertain about the right place for your loved one, look no further than with Homewatch is the perfect place, has the perfect team to help your family member. They truly care about you and your family member.Thank you Ray, office and nurses you get 10 stars from us. I am so blessed I found great care inPittsburgh.P.S. I have been using Homewatch Caregivers since July 2016. I am a retired psychologist with a terminal illness that has left me totally incapacitated. The quality of my life has diminished where I can barely do anything anymore. The services I receive have allowed me to stay in my home as I have wanted. The caregivers have been absolutely wonderful. Everyone I have received services from has been knowledgeable and have been kind, wonderful human beings with a good heart. All of us should only surround themselves with people who love you and you love them back at the end of our lives. All of my life I have helped thousands of people and I guess its being returned. The support of my family, friends, and now my caregivers have enabled me to cross over with some semblance of dignity. I hope this will help anyone looking for care. I would also like to add the supervisors and the head honcho Ray Medina have also been wonderful to me. They are absolutely trustworthy and I would trust my care with them with no reservations.

This was the first time ever for me to hire a home care assistant. Due to my surgery and my husbands scheduled travel, I need someone to take care of me for basic house chores and meal preparing task while I was recovering. I am really lucky to be able to find Homewatch online. The president along with the nurse came to visit me for an initial interview, and they were very compassionate and professional of what they are doing. The caregiver came in the following week as scheduled, and she was punctual, clean, and helpful. She was even learning to cook food Chinese way to suit my appetite after surgery! My recovery has been speedy and smooth with the help provided. I am very satisfied with their service and glad that I made the right choice!
