For Section 8 housing, it's really nice and provides a lot of activities for the elderly. However, I find it absolutely absurd that in 2023 you are required to pay your rent with a check or money order. What kind of management company is running this place?! Although the 3rd floor recreation room windows leak when it rains, on the upside, the grounds are well maintained.

Are you thinking about a move to a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) like Bethany Village? Are you hesitating because you think it's only for really old people? Believe me it's not! My wife and I were in our sixties and there are some younger than that living here. There's no need to wait! The older you get the more difficult it will be to move. The choice should be yours to make. You'll never have to move again. If you lose your spouse, like I did, after moving here you're not alone due to the wonderful support system. Your relatives will thank you for not putting it off and putting the burden on them to choose where you should live. Think about it. No more worries about maintenance issues, lawn care, snow removal. All the things living alone might entail including lack of security. We have security 24/7. Don't want to cook? There are several locations on the campus to get a meal. Other amenities on site you may utilize: a clinic, an indoor pool, a fitness center, a pharmacy, a library, a hair salon and a gift shop. Do you sometimes get bored? There are many scheduled activities on and off campus as well as different volunteer opportunities if you like to do that. Believe me there's no time like the present to make Bethany Village your forever home like we did. I thank the Lord every day that we made that decision when we did. I have found from the moment I moved to Bethany Village that if I was in need of stimulation of interaction with another person, I can leave my residents and find some way of being stimulated. Stimulation can be as simple as walking down a hall way and observing the art that is provided or stopping to talk with someone. On occasion, it may be very quiet but you will always find an Associate that is willing to converse with you. I feel very safe walking anyplace on campus. I had to learn that. I am so amazed by how pleasant it is to talk with any resident - everyone is very nice. Moving here also freed my time from caring for my home. I have had opportunities to volunteer with outside organizations to do things I may have never thought of previously. It has been a very good move for me!!

My wife and I have lived all over the country in some dozen different communities and we constantly marvel at what an amazing place Bethany Village is and how much we love being part of the community. The associates really care for the residents, and the residents are incredibly supportive of each other, and particularly those in need of help.
