Echo Lake is clearly a special community. What stood out most to me was how much thought they've put into making residents feel at home. They have an ambassador program where current residents help residents settle in, which I thought was a really nice touch. The amenities are top-notch including multiple open and airy gathering spaces on every floor so there's always somewhere to connect with neighbors. And the activities program is legitimately impressive: card games, guided meditation, an art studio, tap dance lessons... something for every interest. They also have open visiting hours, which says a lot about the open and inviting environment they've created. I recommend scheduling a tour with Diana Thompson, if you're exploring options for a loved one.

I just toured this beautiful community how refreshing to see a place so energetic and full of life and smiles versus the other places I went and toured. And Jonathan, wow he was great. Fingers crossed. I can convince my parents to go visit. They encouraged us for lunch. The food looked delicious.

I recently had the opportunity to tour Echo Lake in Malvern, and I was very impressed with the environment. It is a beautiful facility with a wide array of resources available. What really put my mind at ease during the visit was seeing the residents so active and happy; it gave a great sense of the community’s energy. And I often see their Lincoln town car out and about. My sales counselor, Jonathan, was kind, compassionate, and very knowledgeable; making sure all my questions were addressed during our time there. For anyone looking into options, add this facility to the list of options.

I would like to give a shout out to the staff and administration at Echo Lake (EL) in Malvern (Atwater). Our parents moved there in 2022 into Independent Living (IL) into a beautiful 4th apt with a view of Great Valley. When our father became in need of more help, they then moved to the Assisted Living (AL) side of EL. Our dad has since passed and our mom was able to move back over to the IL side which maximizes her independence. She is able to go back and forth to visit her friends in residence that she met when living in AL and keep up those friendships-she may need to move back one day, so this is a beautiful thing.The staff and administrators at EL are top notch. The place itself is clean, bright and open, as well as safe and homey. My siblings and I sleep well at night knowing our parents were with other caring people and that my mom now has friends and supports around her when she wants and chooses to be part of the community. We are so grateful to the wonderful people who started EL so close to where we live. We pop in and out to visit and our kids can too! Dinner out with Gramma is a special time. Thanks again for all the hard work you do to make the residents at EL know they are home. ’

Beautiful Senior living! Reminded me of an upscale hotel. Was very much impressed when visiting my neighbor there. Very clean, lots of activities & live music going on, & beautifully decorated. The grounds are also amazing with the different vegetation, etc.

I had a lovely visit with my MIL today. I found Echo Lake Staff very friendly and helpful, engaging with the residents. Everyone was cheerful and I thought the facility was very clean. My MIL told me that she likes her room and think the people are very nice.

My experience was very positive. I signed for an Alcove apartment starting January 1 and paid the one time entrance fee. I am looking forward to meeting people my age and in similar life status (75 year old widower).

I came to visit a family friend and this was the first time that I’ve ever been at this community. I did feel that the place is very clean and anyone I interacted with was quite friendly. There are a few things, though as an occupational therapist noticed with some of the areas, where community gets together, for example, on the fifth floor happy hour room there are no chairs with arms, and since the community does have some compromised individuals, I think it would be safest that there would be availability for armchairs in order to decrease the chance for Any falls and injury, and also to increase the ease and independence of the individuals. I did enjoy looking at all of the artwork created by the residence and some of the displays which were for an apparent recycling contest. And I did enjoy my stay with my my friend.

I don't know if i can properly express how amazing EVERYONE at Echo Lake (EL) has been and especially Amanda on the IL side of things. My parents were transitioning to Independent Living and my mother (the primary caregiver for my father) had a terrible accident (NOT at EL) and has been hospitalized for several weeks. My father is not able to live indepdently, so while they were only in the IL section for one night when this occurred, Amanada and the EL staff helped me coordinate home care until we could move him to the AL side several days later. They checked in regularly both with me and my father. They helped us move his belongings and set up his assisted care. Dad is still in AL, while mom hopefully recovers and is able to join him in the AL community while she continues her recovery (or stays there permanently if necessary). Not having to worry about Dad's needs being met, his medications timely being taken and making sure he eats properly (he's got a bit of a sweet tooth) has been invaluable to free my sister and me up to coordiate my mother's more intensive care needs. It has been such a pleasure working with Amanda and the EL family through all of this. We all wish the circumstances would have been different, but are so glad that Dad is able to receive the wonderful and compassionate care he needs and that they will be there for Mom when the time comes! Thank you Amanda and Echo Lake!

Echo Lake is simply the best. From top to bottom, Echo Lake place is first class all the way. Everyone cares. Echo Lake has been a gift to not only my father but all the kids and grandchildren. I would highly recommend a visit to check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Trying to get a hold of someone to evaluate my father for increased level of care. Left multiple messages. Can’t get a call back. What a disgrace. My tune has changed. I'm updating my review because I have seen a tremendous improvement since Mindy has come on board. She has communicated with me regularly and helped get the proper care plan in place for my father. She truly cares about her residents. Specifically, she took the time to get my Dad looking amazing for the holiday party which made him very happy. Great job Echo Lake, hiring Mindy was a great decision.

Horrible, I would give zero stars if I could. My dad lives in the memory care…some pretty concerning things happening on this floor . My father fell twice and no one knew about it- my moms friend was visiting his wife on the memory care floor, walked by my dads room and saw him on the floor- he had to get help for my dad- no one knows how long he was on the floor and my mom was also told by a nurse that the medical button the patients have for emergencies that they wear around their necks doesn’t work…then a few days later my mom called my father & he answered the phone telling her he was on the floor and couldn’t get up- my mom, who also lives there in the independent living section, was too sick to go down to his room so she called the desk to tell them my father needed help- she waited a while and called my dad back, nobody had gone to his room to help him- so she had to call the desk again- finally someone came to get him up. Again- nobody can say how long he was down for- this place is unbelievable and I’m sickened over it. When they “check” on the patients all they do is pop their head in and call out “everything ok?” They DO NOT bother to walk in and actually look at the resident. Don’t even get me started about all the items that have gone missing from his room-and when discussing this with the director of the facility they informed us that they don’t “reimburse “ for the cost of lost items- we were not even looking for reimbursement!!!! All we wanted was for someone to check around to see if they could find what was missing! They broke my fathers hospital bed somehow, (which we brought in when we moved him in), got him a new bed, which apparently the staff does not think is okay, and are now telling us we need to buy him a hospital bed. First, they broke the bed to begin with, second, we should have been informed that they would like us to get him another hospital bed BEFORE purchasing a regular bed. Let me tell you…this place costs TOP DOLLAR and my father is worth every cent of it- but the care is 100% NON existent. We have once again reached out to the director with our concerns- we have had no response.

Echo Lake is a new 55 + Community that's being built right off of Route 29 in Malvern. The Echo Lake itself is actually a huge old Quarry that struck water and filled up at some point in the past decade or so. I went to see it yesterday, June 29th 2019, with my mom who will be moving there in the next month or so after construction is complete. It's an amazing building with probably 50 different types of apartment layouts and amazing amenities to include a couple restaurants, a bistro, a couple bars, exercise rooms, entertainment rooms including a pool hall, and many more things I'm not yet aware of. It's very modern, and unfortunately it's not for the faint of wallet. I know it starts at around $5,000 a month, but that does include a lot of things such as 30 meals a month in one of the restaurants, most of utilities paid, free cleaning services, and much more. So if your retirement account is healthy, and you're ready to move into a community such as this, you might want to check it out.
