I moved my dad into the memory care unit at Spring Mill Pointe in February 2026, and I’ve been very pleased with the experience so far. The staff is truly wonderful”kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. I’ve visited at all different times of the day, and my dad is always well dressed, clean, and clearly being looked after with great care. The food is plentiful, and he seems to be eating well, which gives me peace of mind. Even more importantly, he appears happy and healthy and has already made some friends, which means a lot to our family. The community does a great job offering activities to keep residents engaged, but what stands out most is the sense of safety and consistent care. Knowing that my dad is in a place where he’s not only safe but also treated with dignity and compassion has been incredibly reassuring. I’m very grateful to the team

After my husband moved here 2 weeks ago, it is easy to see why so many people give Spring Mill Pointe 5 stars. Finding the best possible home for a loved one is a big job. The staff at Spring Mill Pointe are very caring and capable, including not just the nursing staff, but also maintenance and management as well. The facility is well-cared for, clean in every location inside and out, and I walked around it a lot to see for myself before I chose it. It is small enough not to lose its personal touch for each resident from what I can tell so far, and did not have the "corporate" feel of other places I looked at. It has a stellar reputation in this area and I have talked to many friends and neighbors who have had loved ones live here and compared it to other area facilities. It is extremely important that it is a not-for-profit organization in the top-down philosophy and policy that are at the heart of its operation.

We’ve had a great experience at SMP for my grandmother. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring, which has given our family a lot of peace of mind. She really enjoys the food and looks forward to the daily activities, which keep her engaged and happy. We’re very grateful for the supportive environment they provide.

I recently moved my mother into Spring Mill Pointe (approximately one month ago) & couldn’t be happier with our family’s decision thus far. From our initial impression- the warm & spacious light-filled atrium entry, welcoming dining room & beautiful common spaces, to the abundance of activities for residents, this community far exceeds any other community we considered (approximately 15+). Above all however, the staff has been absolutely top-notch and is this community’s biggest asset! I’d looked at so many other communities, agonizing over the small details, pricing, staffing levels and location etc. It was all very overwhelming. From the moment I walked into this facility with my brother, it was abundantly clear that the residents were happy, thriving and receiving detailed care. The sales staff was immensely helpful, every person at the front desk welcoming and friendly, friendly and professional kitchen and dining staff and the nursing & care team, especially the head nurse, is always on their game. As you search for the right place for your loved one or for yourself, I’d suggest you take a moment to just sit & observe the daily hub-bub in every place you consider. Watch how the residents interact, how staff responds when someone stumbles or needs a helping hand, how the staff treats one another, and you’ll get a very telling feel of how daily life is away from the tour or a facility’s pre-decorated apartment. When we did this at Spring Hill Pointe (it was especially easy because we showed up with no appointment!) it was truly that ah ha! moment of this is it!’. It’s continued that way each and every day I’ve visited & staff is very proactive about contacting me with the smallest of issues- great attention to detail. Spring Mill Pointe (SMP) provides excellent, comprehensive care and services for independent, personal care (assisted living) and memory care living. I researched 14 life communities/assisted living communities within the Philadelphia area for my parents and my family and I were extremely impressed with everything SMP had to offer; therefore, we chose SMP for my parents next steps. Currently, my parents are on 2 different health journeys”my mother is very active and healthy, whereas my father is active and healthy, but he has dementia. Since my parents’ have 2 different needs, both Sara Kelly, Executive Director at SMP, and Beth Slater-Plechner, Sales Director at SMP, were extremely helpful in guiding my family and I on creating the best living arraignment for my parents, where they could enjoy all the daily activities and expand their network of friends, while my father also received the additional care he needs. We decided to move my parents into a large apartment in the beautiful, new wing (Schoolhouse) at SMP. Since my parents were living in an independent living apartment, I needed to hire an additional home care service to care for my father, for my mother to receive respite care. Beth recommended Neighborly Home Care Services (Ardmore, PA) and they provided excellent care for my father a few days a week. My parents thoroughly enjoyed living in their independent living apartment. Unfortunately, after a few months of living in their apartment, my father fainted and broke his collar bone at my parents’ home at the South Jersey Shore. My father needed to live at an in-patient physical therapy facility in Cape May County, NJ for almost 2 months. Both Beth and Jean Sainthilaire Mavoucheka, Director of Nursing at SMP, touched base with my family and I immediately to check-in on my father’s health and to see if we needed anything. I was extremely concerned that my father would need additional assistance, especially at nighttime, while he recovered. Beth and I spoke about different living options for my parents and my family and I decided that the best solution was to transition my father into a memory care apartment, which provides 24-hour care, if my father needed it. Beth gave my family 1st choice at any available memory care apartment, which put my mind at ease right away. After reserving a large, private apartment for my dad in memory care, Beth, Jean, and their team members made the transition for my dad into memory care extremely easy. The SMP team was extremely informative on the transition process, and they were very prepared for my dad before he arrived from the PT Facility in Cape May County, NJ. SMP and the PT Facility/SNF in Cape May County, NJ coordinated very well with one another to provide all the populated medical forms for my father’s transfer back to SMP. Beth is phenomenal”she is always prepared for the residents and their families. Beth ensured that my father’s new memory care apartment was freshly painted, his new flat screen TV was hung with cable and internet access available, and his new bed and furniture were placed where my family had requested. Beth is so kind that she gave my father a new leather mechanical chair that a former resident was no longer using. She is always thinking about all the residents and how she can improve their stay at SMP. Jean is amazing”the 1st night that my father stayed in his memory care apartment”Jean stayed late and reviewed all my father’s medications with me. Jean also ensured that the nursing staff was brought up to speed on my father’s needs. Jean also scheduled my father’s doctor appointment and followed up with the doctor’s staff about seeing my father earlier than his scheduled appointment. Jean immediately contacts me either by phone or e-mail about anything relating to my dad. My family and I know that SMP will continue to provide the best care for my father. We are very confident that they will continue to provide a safe and healthy environment for my father and all the residents.

Following the passing of our father and leaving Mom to live on her own for a few years, we decided it was time for a change for the better. Mom has been a resident at SMP, Personal Care for just over a year now and it goes without saying it’s been comforting knowing that she’s in a safe environment and well looked after. We no longer have the constant worry for her safety and well being.The staff is friendly, courteous, and attentive to her needs and the communication back and forth is there. She has a nice apartment, has socialization again, enjoys the food and dining with friends, and an assortment of activities to choose from. The building and grounds are clean and well maintained. I must say we couldn’t be more happier this past year. Overall it’s been a good experience for both Mom and our family.

My mom has been living at Spring Mill Pointe for 3 months now. Change is difficult and it was a tough transition at first, but Beth, Alice and the entire staff has been so accommodating, responsive and helpful. There is a great sense of community with plenty of opportunities for social interaction. There are a wide range of organized recreational activities and social events for all of the residents. The dining experiences have been great and there are plenty of options. All of the staff is friendly, kind and respectful. My mom has met so many nice people and made some new friends. I love my apartment. The staff is A plus. Making new friends has been easy and I feel safe and secure. My family is happy I made the decision to move to Spring Mill Pointe. There are many activities and I am enjoying most of them. There is a wide selection of food. The staff bends over backwards for the residents. I am looking forward to many happy years here at Spring Mill Pointe.

My husband and I have been living at Spring Mill Pointe for a month now and are extremely pleased with our decision. The facility is spotless and thoughtfully maintained inside and out. The food is good and is provided by waitress service at the tables. A couple of meat or fish options are offered at the main meal, and if they do not appeal, there are a number of regular alternate choices available. Activities include, board games, book groups, various forms of exercise, shopping trips, etc.. Staff are also open to suggestions residents might have for new activities. Perhaps most notable, however is the warm and welcoming feel at Spring Mill Pointe. We have found the staff in all departments to be warm, supportive and eager to help. We are grateful to be spending this chapter of our lives in this nurturing environment. l

After much research concerning facilities with memory care units, we quickly focused in on Spring Mill Pointe for my mother. We met with their team and after discussing our concerns, we applied, were accepted and placed on the waiting list. Sometime after, we were given a move-in date. Some internal family issues about my mother's care caused us to delay move-in. Spring Mill was patient and really wonderful working with us through the process. Soon after, my mother moved in. Any post-move-in issues or questions were handled quickly and compassionately. The whole team, from management, admissions, nursing, care coordinator and unit activities, have treated my mother with kindness and compassion. We are updated quickly concerning any issues that come up. The residents in the unit are regularly engaged & my mother is very responsive to the engagement. When family visits, the staff enthusiastically shares any news about my mom and occasionally, they even send pictures. Our family has been extremely pleased with the choice. We just moved our father into Spring Mill Pointe and it is never an easy family decision. Beth Slater-Plechner really helped work with our Dad to help him realize after his last fall that it was his time to move out of his home of 53 years. Beth had infinite patience in explaining the finances, the rehab on site, the dining plan, the step down to assisted living if needed and made all of us in the family feel comfortable with the big decision to move here. They even helped us move in and Bob on the maintenance staff hung all his pictures and helped set up our Dad's bed to make it easy for him to get in and out. Jean, on the nursing staff, helped set up appointments with his PT and the geriatric care doctor that visits weekly. They have all sorts of activities including tech classes to help him with his phone and laptop! Dad is very happy at Spring Mill Pointe and Beth made it so easy to make this very big decision for all of us - thank you Beth, Jean and Bob and all of the staff for helping our Dad settle in so quickly! We highly recommend Spring Mill Pointe.

Spring Mill Point is the GOAT of Senior Living Communities. It is stellar in all ways and is the perfect fit for my mother. From the time of our initial tour of the community through my mother’s move in, the SMP team went the extra mile to make everything as easy and welcoming as possible. I applaud everyone at SMP, both staff and residents, for creating and maintaining an extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful environment. After looking at many communities, I moved into Spring Mill Pointe Independent Living because it's a small intimate community with residents and staff that have exceeded my expectations. Everything is accessible in the building. You can participate and engage in as many activities as you like. They strive to help you feel welcome. I have musical interests that I can share and contribute to the community as well.

My mom just moved in to Spring Mill Pointe at 89 years old. The entire staff has been so welcoming, supportive and kind to my mom and I my family. The grounds, dining area, and apartments/rooms are beautiful! There are daily activities to support the residents mind, body and spirit. We recently moved my mother-in-law into Spring Mill Pointe Cedar Grove Memory Support neighborhood. Beth Slaytor-Plechner, Director of Sales was so instrumental in helping us navigate through this emotional and stressful time in our lives. She spent so much time between the tour, answering our many questions and being a friendly, calming presence for my mother-in-law the day of her move. I also would like to say how thankful we are for Tameka Williams, Personal Care Director Residence Services. She has offered much needed support and has been so patient with our family’s many calls during the transition. The facility is very clean and so far we’ve had great experiences interacting with the nurses and aides in the Cedar Grove neighborhood. We are hopeful that mom will continue to adjust and be happy in her new home.

I was very impressed when I toured Spring Mill Pointe for assisted living placement for my brother. It is a spotlessly clean facility that has a comfortable, very homey feeling. The residents were all happy & appeared well cared-for. They were actively participating in activities while I was there . I was very impressed that the director of admissions, Beth Slater, knew every resident by name & seemed to have a close relationship with all of them. Beth spent time discussing & assessing my brother’s needs . She suggested he transfer to their sister program at Rydal Park for skilled nursing care, with the hopes that he can ultimately be able to transition to personal care at Spring Mill Pointe. I’m hoping that my brother will be able to do so. I would be delighted to see him living in such a warm, loving environment. -Trish Onopchenko

My mom has been at Spring Mill Pointe for almost 2 years and from a daughter's perspective I am delighted she is with this community. The team members who work with her on a daily basis are loving, confidential, and give my mom the utmost respect. Whenever she needs help someone is there to lend her a hand. My mom is happy, and the residents are friendly and they truly look out for one another. The activities are fun and always changing and they are creative and enjoyable for all. The inside of Spring Mill is meticulous and extremely clean which is very important. I am grateful that my mom is part of this community.
