My mother has lived at Pheasant Hills for approx 12 years. I must say, at one time this was a great community with valued communication, management and maintenance team. However, In the past few years, with turnover of office staff and management, it's definitely not the same. Due to medical issues and frequent falls, my mother had to be transferred to a 1st floor apartment. The apartment is completely outdated, as was her previous one and has numerous unfinished repairs including stripping lifted from the walls, blood stain in bedroom carpet, dust buildup on closet doors which we cleaned the entire apartment prior to her move in (meaning it wasn't cleaned from previous tenants move out) door wasn't locking for several days and was finally fixed. I have been addressing these issues for the past 2 months. They came in and "started" to repair the water damaged wall in her bathroom and left it unfinished with compound dust throughout for the past 2 weeks. I called again today and was advised she would see what the next step to repair is. Totally unacceptable for anyone, let alone the elderly and disabled. I have now filed a complaint with HUD so they can evaluate the matter. There's many residents that don't have anyone to advocate for them, so I'll be sure to do what I can so others aren't put on the back burner as my mother has been. They don't hesitate to have these people drop what they're doing to sign those annual documents to get paid over a thousand dollars a month per unit, but will make you wait MONTHS for repairs.

It's a great place to live. We are well taken care of. I was thrilled when the office arranged for a pharmacist and assistant to give us all the vaccine shots and booster. Daily events you can join if you wish. The grounds are well taken care of. The maintenance crew are great. We have a monthly newsletter to keep us informed. The Pheasant Hill Estate team do a wonderful job. It's close to everything. I love it here.

I HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE FOR ALMOST 28 YEARS . I T HAS BEEN A VERY WONDERFUL PLACE . THE PEOPLE LIVING HERE HAVE BECOME BY FRIENDS. I HAVE LOST ALOT OF FRIENDS OVER THE YEARS . THE EMPLYEE WERE VERY NICE . I ONCE DID A LOT OF THINGS FROM CRAFTS , HELPED WITH MEAL ON WHEELS , AND OTHER THINGS, WAS IN THE CHORUS , HELPED WITH DIFFERENT PARTIES AND ETC . I NOW DO NOT HELP WITH NOTHING .

My mother lived here when she passed away in 2011. Her name was Blanche Henson. She was very very happy. My brother helped her to find this place. They had a lot of activities to keep them busy...thank you to the staff working there...office and grounds personnel.

Amery and others who has complaints about visitors... I've visit there many times to various residents and census is: 1. They have NO young ones visiting 2. They forgot how it was as a child. 3. Kids today are busy, sitting too long they feel they are being punished due to time out. Hold your breathe residents their leaving shortly. Thank you Amery and residents, we hear and will try to be more considerate of your feelings, it is your home.
