Super staff is making Morningside the perfect place for my mom. She is in memory care and Anna is the most attentive and friendly aide we could have wished for. Aja, Dana and the rest of the nurses do a fantastic job keeping mom healthy. Thank you so much

My mom was in the hospital for a few months and we needed to mover her to a memory facilitate. We visited several Chester county memory care facilities and none would not accept her. Except Morning Side of Exton, they took the time to understand her needs. The nursing staff were outstanding, they met with me several times to understand my mom's needs and explain to me a care plan that was best for my mom. During my mom's short stay at Morning Side of Exton the care team made sure everyday my mom was comfortable and cared for. We had financial challenges with our bank account and ED and business manager were very understanding and patient while we sorted out their payment. I recommend everyone to visit Morning Side of Exton, you won't be disappointed.

8 weeks ago we moved my in-laws from Long Island, NY to a facility in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, they were not assessed properly and were placed in the wrong level of care at this facility. This caused them and us an enormous amount of stress. Moving them a second time was our only option. Since moving them to Morningside House of Exton 3 weeks ago, we know we have found the right fit for our family. From the moment we walked through the door, we were met with kindness and reassurance that our loved ones were going to be well cared for and kept safe. My father in law struggled the most being separated from his beloved goldendoodle. We found out recently he has been getting visits from the resident Mastiff that hangs out at the nurses station most days. They make sure he gets time with the pup knowing how much it means to him. This place has simply been the best. From the lovely ladies at the front desk, to the nurses and caregivers on the floor. Top notch. These people care.

After visiting many potential senior living communities, I noticed an integral difference at Morningside House of Exton. It was the passion and genuineness of the staff. They take the time out of their busy day to actually get to know you and your loved one. They treat you like they would treat their family, always going above and beyond. I'm so glad I chose Morningside House, thank you to the wonderful team.

Arthur Stockman, former resident, said the Sunrise of Exton team members "treat me with kindness." Our dad came to Sunrise after being moved to PA from Florida in December and having an apartment over at Arbor Terrace of Exton. He spent much of his 6 months in the area in and out of hospitals and rehabs as he navigated the end stages of congestive heart failure. Finally, after he suffered a stroke in May, Arbor Terrace said they didn't have the resources to care for him, and we made a rushed and unscheduled move of his personal belongings to Sunrise. Both when I visited Sunrise and when we moved Dad in, residents were doing exercises in the front room, putting together puzzles and watching TV in shared spaces. People interacted with staff and each other, which made us feel hopeful that we'd made a good choice. Sunrise allowed us to move Dad's belongings in the weekend before he moved in. They were very accommodating of our need for haste as we navigated our way out of the rehab and Arbor Terrace and into Sunrise. The Monday he moved into his room, Dad was anxious about having a place he could call home—and expressed a wish not to have to move again. Sunrise staff were friendly and welcoming and helped ease his mind. In Dad's first few hours as a Sunrise resident, team members helped him change his clothes, gave him a bed-bath, shaved him, and combed his hair. He'd been in the hospital and rehab for 5 weeks at that point, and no one had cared for him in these thoughtful and human ways in all that time but me and my brothers. In the final two weeks of his life at Sunrise, whether he was awake or asleep, the care team communicated directly with our dad and ensured he was taken care of according to his personal, scheduled care plan. They also checked on us and offered on more than one occasion to bring us something to eat or drink. Dad, too, felt an enormous improvement in his care over that of the other assisted living facility, and in just 2 weeks and 2 days, he came to know his caregivers by name. He didn't like being someone who needed care -- he was a doctor, and was used to providing it for others -- so when he answered his sister's question about how they were treating him at Sunrise this way, it meant everything to us. He said, "They treat me with kindness."

I hope this review serves as a warning to others for after your loved ones passing if they are residing at Sunrise of Exton. Loved the staff - everything you could hope for. Mom had no complaints and neither did we a month AFTER mom passed on 1/9/23 when we received the bill... We visited mom that evening after her death and took everything out of the room except her clothes and unopened personal care items which, when we asked the staff if we could donate to anyone there in need, were told that we could. NO CONTACT UNTIL 3 WEEKS AFTER SHE PASSED. Then, on 1/30 when we received a call asking about the clothes still in the room, we advised that we asked to donate those to anyone in need and were told that we could. Bill time comes around at the beginning of February and we were charged over $1700.00 for the time for the room after mom passed while her clothes that we ASKED IF WE COULD DONATE AND WERE TOLD WE COULD. When I called and explained what happened, I was basically told in a professional way that "they don't do that" and that we needed to pay $76 for every day the room wasn't cleared out. So, instead of maybe calling us a week or so after they realized the clothes were still in her room, they didn't call until the end of the month so they could get $1700 from a grieving family.

Because of failing health over the last 5 years, we have had experience with no less than 7 assisted living and rehab facilities for Mom, most were disappointing to say the least. Sunrise of Exton was the best and although Mom was only there for 8 months before she passed, we had no significant issues. We loved the staff and they showed genuine affection for Mom. The facilities were amazing, including dining room and staff. They tried to keep Mom engaged even when she was reluctant. They helped us with hospice when Mom needed more care. All questions were promptly answered. Realizing how challenging health and elder care has been over the last several years, we are glad that Mom got to spend the last part of her life in a first-class facility like Sunrise of Exton.

Excellent meal at a very reasonable price. My husband ordered the Chicken Marsala, flavorful and nice portion. I ordered the Eggplant parm over pasta. Full of Eggplant! Loved it. Salads were good and the garlic knot was delish! Definitely coming back soon!

My volunteer journey at Exton Sunrise Senior living center has been an amazing experience. I love all the generous people I work with at the center. The highlights of the program are being able to meet and spend time with elderly. I really enjoy helping such incredible people. Staff at the center made me comfortable from day one itself. I am thoroughly impressed with volunteering activities at the center and I would highly recommend this volunteering opportunity. Pooja Menon

Sunrise has been very good to my mom. My concerns regarding her care have been addressed. Sunrise has been very attentive during the pandemic always keeping our family up to date on Covid issues. The staff is always kind and my mom loves living at Sunrise of Exton.

I would recommend Sunrise of Exton for anyone that would be looking for a clean, efficient, compassionate and well staffed facility. Even though I had just recently transferred my husband to this facility, I am happy that the last five days were here. My family was treated with the upmost respect and compassion in last days.

With my mom at Sunrise of Exton, my sister, brother and I are given the peace of mind to know our mom is not just cared for but also part of a community of caregivers and residents that are like another extension of our family.
November 2021
My mom had a tough start during our search for her new home, and as much as our loved ones go thorough, introducing Sunrise to her as her new home is the best decision we could have made. Not only did she enjoy the experience, but you could ask her, she loves her relationships with the staff, and residents. Mom still had her facilities at the young age of 80, which she considers just a number. I was very happy with Sunrise before all our lives changed with COVID, and now so very pleased and great full of the proactive actions everyone took to keep mom safe. It is usually a tough decision moving a loved one to something other than their home, but from the early days of our walk-through to signing the documents my brother, sister and I have had complete faith in the Sunrise system, and the care they have provided for mom. I have 25 years of medical care experience and customer service, and Sunrise's staff continue to impress me. I toured, reviewed state inspections and interviewed more than six locations providing care in Pennsylvania, and Sunrise set such a high standard such that no one could compete, and that of course included rent, fees and annual rent increases as well. My family loves the Sunrise family, especially because they treat my mom with respect, dignity, and a personal touch only Sunrise could as if she was their mom too.
