We recently moved my dad into the memory care unit at Mercer Hill at Doylestown, and I can honestly say the experience has exceeded every expectation. Coming off a much more challenging situation we had in Georgia, I was understandably anxious about making another transition. From day one, the team at Mercer Hill, and most specifically Craig, has been exceptional. They are attentive, compassionate, and truly treat residents with dignity and care. What has stood out most to me is the peace of mind. My work schedule has been nonstop, and even with that, I feel completely at ease knowing my dad is in such capable hands. That feeling alone is invaluable and has lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. The staff has created an environment that feels both professional and genuinely caring. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction. I’m incredibly grateful to Craig and the entire team for the care they’ve provided my dad and the support they’ve given our family. I would highly recommend Mercer Hill to anyone navigating memory care for a loved one.

This is a wonderful facility and community. We just moved my grandmother out but the staff, especially Rebecca, are very friendly and accommodating. Residents are kind and there’s a lot to do. The facility is beautiful inside with lovely room selections. It is pricey but definitely a higher end atmosphere. She had some complaints about the food quality and options, which seemed to be shared among other residents.

My mom and I enjoyed the incredible menu, including gourmet food expertly paired with thoughtfully chosen wine. The atmosphere was celebratory and fun. My mother lived at Mercer Hill for a little over 2 years. We knew the minute we toured that Mercer was the right choice for mom. Hillary and Craig were so helpful and friendly during that first visit . We felt at home right away. Although the majority of her time there was in independent living, she eventually moved into Personal Care. Amina and her staff of personal care nurses and aides were incredible. They provided compassionate care to mom during her final weeks there. I cannot recommend Mercer Hill enough. They treated mom as though she was part of their family. We toured the Memory Care unit at Mercer Hill in April 2025 and it instantly became the clear front-runner. Hillary and the staff were incredible. They went above and beyond, giving us such personalized attention and answered all of our questions via email, phone, and in person. As for the facility, it was gorgeous, spotless, tasteful, warm and homey. There were colors, paintings and murals everywhere. We really felt that this is somewhere my aunt could be happy. Honestly, I’m in my 40’s and I want to move in! We originally toured Mercer Hill because there were no openings in Memory Care at my aunt’s current facility. However, at the last minute a spot opened up, so she ended up staying where she was. But I would recommend Mercer Hill to anyone!

It was a pleasure to tour Mercer Hill today with my parents! We were treated to a delicious lunch in the cafe while Craig shared about the "neighborhood". Everyone was so warm and welcoming and I could see my parents loving living there! It also gave me a good feeling to know that my parents would be in good hands at Mercer Hill. I also had the pleasure of meeting Hillary when I first took a tour on my own and she is wonderful too! It is clear that both her and Craig enjoy their jobs and truly care about the residents! Just completed a visit to Mercer Hill with my FIL as we continue our due diligence on their next steps. Mercer Hill is really nice from a facility and people perspective; they excel in both. Craig and all the staff were welcoming and open, gave us a great tour and answered all our questions but what really impressed me was how they interacted with the residents and the residents interacted with each other and us. In our 90-minute time there, we could really get a wonderful feel of "community.". I told my FIL that if he and my MIL didn't move there, my wife and I would! We have a couple more appts coming up but we all slept a little easier last night knowing that an option like Mercer Hill was out there for them.

I had the opportunity to go to Mercer Hill today. I was highly impressed. A few things stood out in my mind. These big places are beautiful but usually feel cold and are scare environments. Not Mercer Hill. I walked in and immediately felt warmth. I saw the residents that were making homemade soaps for the Alzheimer’s Association. Love that and they looked so happy. It was beautiful and so clean throughout.. There were tons of activities for the residents. This place is a real gem. Kudos to Mercer Hill and their staff for doing such a wonderful job.

I had lunch at the cafe and had a delicious salmon Caesar Salad that was restaurant quality. The apartment that I looked at was very pleasant with plenty of room and a nice view. My parents moved to Mercer Hill in April 2023 after my mother had an in-home accident that made it very apparent that they could no longer live independently in their home. My sister and I toured several places in the Doylestown area since we wanted them to stay close to where they have lived for the past 25 years. From the moment we walked in the door for our first tour, we knew this was where they needed to be. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful and is always kept immaculately clean. But even more important than the looks, are the staff who work there. The staff, especially the Activities department, Beth and Linda, are so in tune with what the residents' interests are and are constantly finding new forms of entertainment and new local places to explore. Just today, my almost 101 year old father, went to the Golf Driving range and hit a large bucket of golf balls for the morning.. above and beyond our wildest expectations. Even for those residents who might not be as outgoing or active as others, they are always smiling and encouraging and keeping engaged because who knows what will be "that thing" that makes a connection. My family is so happy with Mercer Hill and their incredibly caring, empathetic and delightful staff. thank you!

Beth and the activities team really go above and beyond to offer a variety of fun outings and enrichment opportunities. Dad regularly attends exercise classes and church service and musical recitals. He enjoys bingo and Friday night poker. He’s been to the golf driving range and the casino and stepped outside his comfort zone to visit the lavender farm and alpaca ranch. Beth is responsive to new ideas and genuinely desires to keep everyone happy and entertained! I so pleased that dad has such a robust life at Mercer Hill.

My mother is relatively new to MH but the food service is super slow. I have seen residents walk out b c they are not acknowledged or waited on for 12-15-20 min (this is no exaggeration). No sugar free options for diabetics. And the things that slip through the cracks (with the excuse that people are busy and they weren’t able to pass the information along is unacceptable. The place is gorgeous and comfy and warm. My mom feels safe, the medical staff is warm and caring, but this is a place that our parents live and eat and function each day. I had heard the rumors before we moved her in, and it is stunning to me that food service in my mothers HOME is so bad and that some of the staff feels that being too busy to follow up on an important item is an excuse. If providing a living environment for our loved ones, these issues need to be worked out now

All the staff members are so warm and welcoming. First impressions matter when you're looking for a forever home. Craig and Hillary in the Sales Dept are warm, knowledgeable, and thorough in their presentation of Mercer Hill. I've already met so many friendly staff there. What a well thought out community. Just lovely.

Run, Run, away as fast as you can! My Aunt has been in Independent Living for over 2 years. When she first moved in things were not perfect but it was brand new and staff promised to address and fix the problems. Don't believe a word the Administration says. What a joke. I call [name removed], Executive Director, [name removed], Director of Guest Services, and [name removed], Resident Engagement Director, the 3 Stooges. [name removed] can not do anything or make a decision without [name removed]. I once had a meeting with [name removed] and all of of sudden [name removed] walked in to our private meeting, sat down and started to give her two cents on an issue she had no right to be involved in. I asked her to leave which was not well received but she did finally leave. [name removed] can't give you any information without checking with corporate first. He is not timely in getting back with answers. It is now January 2025 and the facility has been sold to new owners. Big mistake to keep the original executives. They have not kept any of their promises to address residents. Their mantra is "we are working on it" and "we are short staffed" There is no 24 hour security since day one. The senior staff is out the door at 5 pm and so is maintenance. Good luck if you have a problem on a weekend. The concierges are out by 8pm. Try getting into the building after 8pm if your loved one doesn't have their fob or you want to visit. You can ring the doorbell till your finger turns blue. Nursing on the 2nd floor is responsible for answering the door. We waited over 1/2 hour for someone to let us in. Shameful. Now with new owners and same old useless administrators, conditions have gotten worse. Hair in people's food from kitchen staff has finally been addressed. Resident's have to wait up to 45 minutes to get their dinner because there is no wait staff. If you complain [name removed] will tell you they are understaffed and she and her team have been working on it ever since M.H. opened. 3 years and the problem is not fixed. How incompetent. Any one else would be out of a job for not addressing long standing issues but not at M.H. I recently had breakfast with my Aunt and the kitchen was out of milk, bread, butter, and coffee. Everyday they are out of something. Residents were promised gourmet meals. Not. The quality of food has gone way down. Staff doesn't know how to work the equipment in the Theatre. Most days residents are turned away with "I'm sorry" and that's suppose to be acceptable. TRAIN YOUR STAFF. God forbid if your loved one gets sick and needs a little extra care. They will tell you your loved one has to move to personal care even if that is not needed. They want the extra money but again do not have the staff to provide the basic needs for residents. People have been left on the toilet for hours waiting for help; they are dirty; staff steals personal food and loose change from the residents. Don't complain or report anything. You are scolded by [name removed] that they are doing the best they can. If that is the best they can do, close your doors. My Aunt has decided to leave because of these conditions and attitudes. I can't wait till she is out of that [language removed].

The Mercer Hill Community in Doylestown is very attractive, clean and offers many amenities. The first floor Breakfast/lunch Cafe is pleasant and there is always a nice variety of foods available. There is a delightful Pub that has a Meet&Greet on Mondays and A Wine Down Wednesday with group crossword games. My Mother participates in those two activities as well as the daily chair exercise and afternoon Rummy Cube. There is a movie theater with daily shows, often screening good documentaries. But for the most part , we are grateful for and appreciative of particular staff who are always professional and very supportive in their area of operations. Beth -5 ’s As the Engagement Director she is outstanding and gets a five star rating from all of our family members! She schedules frequent off site adventures, as well as on-site activities such a Concerts, Bingo, Crafts, cook-outs and a variety of Holiday events . But above all ,it is her seemingly limitless enthusiasm , warmth and ability to engage community members to participate in an inclusive and caring way that makes her a very special professional. She has been a very positive influence on my Mother’s transition to the Community. Jim -5’s the Maintenance Director is another professional who we appreciate because he is very knowledgeable of facility operations and has always been very responsive to our requests. Mercer Hill was sold to a new company in July. To date there have been transition issues that for the most part should have been 90% resolved by now (it’s mid - December ) and they have not been addressed in a timely or effective business manner. We have had difficulty with not receiving our bills and had to make several inquiries and personal trips in to get copies. There have been errors on the billing statements . While we have communicated via email, phone calls and personal visits , we have yet to have anyone return our calls or reach out to resolve the problems. Deb the Executive Director is very hard working and I have witnessed her availability to listen to Residents concerns, but the new owners are absent! The new management has not lived up to its pledge and my overall experience earns them a low two star rating. They do not provide a written name list of their transition team and their respective roles nor are business cards available so they can be contacted.As the POA for my Mother ( which is the case for many residents ) that is an unacceptable way to conduct business and makes it very difficult to lookout for her best interests. And while, I am hopeful that the new Food Service Manager( who appears very qualified), is able to address the big concerns about the evening dinner service : cold food, meat quality and extremely slow service , the lack of adequate staffing is causing that goal to be a major hurdle. The young waiters are courteous but their lack of training is a huge hindrance to a pleasant dinner experience. The food in the Cafe is good , but the service is unacceptable due to lack of training and the short staffing. Overall, I am giving a five star rating to the staff members I have acknowledged, I am rating the new ownership only two stars and hopefully I will be able to amend that in the coming months.

My Mother in Law has "reverse-aged" since moving to Mercer over one year ago. Prior to Mercer, she lived alone in a single family house and had lost contact with most friends due to a combination of friend's health issues as well as transportation limitations. Mercer does an excellent job of providing socialization opportunities. She is a very social person and playing games and making cookies and dining together has pried her away from the loneliness of living alone in a house, waiting upon only family members to visit. The Mercer physical facility is wonderful, but it is the friend group and the activities that have made all the difference.

Our Mom has transitioned a few times, from independent living to assisted living, and is now in the memory care unit at Mercer Hill in Doylestown. This is by far the best place she has lived. The facilities are top-notch and the staff is dedicated and caring. There are excellent resources available, with in-house visits by medical professionals (primary care, dental, podiatry, etc.) to help alleviate logistical concerns for many care needs. My Daddy moved to Mercer Hill this past June from a nice Senior Living home in Az to be closer to me. I did a lot of research to find a place as good as the one he left and I am happy to say that Mercer Hill is even nicer than where he was living before. He is doing great! He is in the first level of Personal Care and the residence and staff are wonderful. When he wanted a change in his daily routine for his medications, they treated him with care and respect by listening to his concerns and preferences. They came up with a plan that would work for everyone and he is very thankful. My 11 year old daughter visits often and has commented on how nice it smells in the whole place and how pretty everything is. She is a very honest pre-teen 🙂 I highly recommend taking the time to visit the community for yourself or your loved one too!

My mother moved into Mercer Hill a few months ago and loves it. We are both super happy with the accommodations and staff. Meals are great, especially breakfast and lunch. People are super friendly and always helpful. There are lots of activities for my Mom to enjoy which is a big deal since she is recently widowed. She had to adjust to living on her own in a new place which is tough. Mercer Hill made the transition smooth. I am lucky I live close so I can visit frequently and see her happiness. She’s really adjusted well which I believe can be attributed to the friendly staff who really do their best to offer activities all day long, including movies in the theater. We love the weekly Meet N Greets, exercise and trips. So much to do on such beautiful grounds with wonderful people. I highly recommend Mercer Hill for your loved ones.

Visited Mercer Hill a couple weeks ago, and words cannot describe how beautiful this place is. Every resident I met, had nothing but fantastic things to say about their home. My mother and I visited Mercer Hill at Doylestown a few weeks ago and we're very impressed with the community. The staff was warm and welcoming and it was decorated very tastefully. They have multiple rooms dedicated to specific activities that encouraged pursuing hobbies well as social interaction with other members of the community. The apartments were lovely and appeared to be very well built. One specific feature that stood out was that the community backed on to a large wooded area with a hiking trail. This is hard to find in most senior living communities; the setting was lovely with lush greenery surrounding the facility. The reason my mother chose not to move in to Mercer Hill was the distance to family and friends. Had it been closer I believe she would have selected Mercer Hill at Doylestown!
