For those of you considering Simpson Meadows as an independent living facility you need to be aware that while they do have independent living they consider themselves a nursing home. What that means is that now during covid-19 they are in total lockdown. people in independent living may come and go as they wish. Inside the facility is being managed as a nursing home and is following the guidelines for nursing homes.Which means no one may enter the building other than residents or employees. They will facilitate a monitored visit between residents and visitors while practicing social distancing. Which sounds good but does not make sense since the residents can walk out the door go to cracker barrel with friends and family then return to the facility with only a temp scan. Just remember you will be living in a facility that is governed by nursing home rules and not an independent living facility rules.

I highly recommend Simpson Meadows for everyone in their retirementsenior years, and for those that are unable to take care of themselves or the the place they live in, and I love all they have done for my Mom and others!!!! Thank you very much for all that you do!!!! Peace and Love, Susie.

Simpson Meadows is a first class. Five star Retirement Community. Everyone there are friendly, cooperative, respectful and there is always a positive atmosphere. It is a wonderful place for older people to call home and retire comfortably. I am always impressed with the professional staff and the residents who reside there. And...it is always clean!

Well I come here to visit my Mom on the weekends, and my Mom and two of her neighbors Dot S. and Kay M. that live on the same floor as she, say its an excellent place to live at!! Great food, friendly staff, lots of activities to do for the residents, everyone looks out for one another. I think its an excellent place for anyone looking for a place for their family members that arent able to live by themselves and take care of the place they used to live in no longer. My neighbor will be moving into Simpson Meadows in a few weeks. Today myself and some of her family members took a drive out from Havertown to take some final measurements in her new apartment. The community is lovely and the apartment is beautiful! The residents in the hallways were all friendly. The Resident Services Director was helpful and delightful. What a wonderful place for seniors to live!
