Large staff turnover. Mostly untrained service staff. Low quality and grade of food. Unappealing menus of mostly pastas with exotic names. Ancient toilet facilities. Waiting too often of half an hour or more to answer call button for lack of staff, neighbor on floor for more than a half hour that needed kitchen staff to get him off the floor. Lost items in laundry and sloppy mediocracy handling personal items and preparation.

My Mother in Law just moved into this community. Eric the Executive Director, was hands on with the move, the nursing team was so supportive of her and incredibly caring during the admission. The care staff is so caring and the physical therapy team has improved her mobility beyond expectations in 4 short weeks. The Devon facility is small, but the care they have provide to my MIL is HUGE!!! Highly recommend.

I can only sing the highest praise for the resident experience my brother and I have enjoyed while at Devon Senior Living. It started with a head on collision my brother suffered. The injuries he sustained were too challenging for some assisted living facilities and not serious enough for sustained rehabilitation or skilled nursing centers. Devon took him in. It started with Olga Stathakopoulos, our first contact at Devon, whose can do, professional, and empathetic attitude set the tone. Eric, the executive director, could not have been more helpful and navigating. To make a my brother is now settled in waiting for his injuries to heal and doing very well. The staff from the nurses, to the assistants, to the room cleaners, to the dining servers, to the front desk greeters could not be more personable and supportive. My brother also raves about the quality of the PT and OT services he receives. He is getting tremendous care at a very reasonable cost. If you are looking for a facility that appears to understand you build from the inside out, putting in staff that is committed and caring first and then building from that foundation, Devon Senior Living is a place you may want to check out. It appears that the new management is in process of renovating the facility while retaining its Main Line charm. Speaking for ourselves, we could not be more pleased.

The Devon Senior Living is a wonderful place. I was in a car accident and needed a place to heal. The staff is friendly and very helpful. They are able to meet all my special needs. The building is a former mansion which has charm and character.

Devon is in an outstanding neighborhood on the mainline with affordable costs, assisted care, studios for independent levels.Olga promptly dealt with our heartache of finding our 86 year old mom a home after being evicted from her apartment for renovations. Olga is compassionate, calm, caring, and handled our conflict on her weekend hours. THANK YOU!!!!!

My mother had serious health issues and had suffered brain damage from a fall. She could no longer live alone so I chose to move her into The Devon. The entire staff from upper management to the nurses and support staff (all shifts) communicated with me regularly and provided top quality treatment. Everyone was so kind and attentive, I felt comfortable that she was in good hands. I visited my mother frequently and observed and interacted with many of the residents, all requiring different levels of care. The personal attention paid to my mother was not an isolated occurrence. I never heard any staff member utter the words thats not my job. Everyone there chips in to assure that each residents physical and mental well being is maintained . It does not feel institutional at all. On the contrary, it has very homey atmosphere. Many activities are offered throughout the day to keep the residents stimulated and engaged. Some include: live musical entertainment, movies, educational talks and videos, book clubs, exercise classes, crafting etc. Since my mothers passing, I continue to visit regularly as I enjoy mingling with the residents both old and new. We spend quite a bit of time chatting and getting to know one another. Everyone seems very happy and well adjusted. I have heard no complaints.I would highly recommend The Devon if you are looking for a smaller, non institutional assisted living situation for yourself or your loved one. It is a great alternative to some of the larger developments in the area.

My mom has been here for over five years and Ive always felt like she has been well taken care of and safe. Staff members are easy to talk with and eager to work through any problems that may arise. I appreciate that everyone there is willing to help with whatever needs to get done, regardless of their position.

Gorgeous facility and grounds, they have a beautiful chapel and resident apartments. The staff are so friendly and kind. Their memory care neighborhood is beautiful and thoughtfully planned to engage residents with Alzheimers and dementia diagnosiss all day long. The executive director Tiffanie is so caring and compassionate, she plans amazing fun activities for the residents and the staff!

I am so impressed with this facility. It is such a welcoming environment, you can sense it as soon as you walk through the doors. I also love how pet friendly it is. Pets can provide such great support to our loved ones when we are unable to be there. I have appreciated working with Linsey and would highly recommend this facility.

Devon Senior Living is such a great place. The whole team at The Devon is great - they work very well together. The residents seem very happy, always greeting you as soon as you walk in. Linsey, the Director or Marketing really listens to what the residents needs are. She is compassionate about the residents and she brings much light to their lives. The building has history and is very unique - take a tour and you will see!

If youre looking for a great memory care facility on the Main Line, look no further. The staff is very welcoming and professional, and my aunt feels very much at home. Every aspect of her (initially reluctant) move in was smooth, and before she was even settled she was smiling like she hasnt in years. They really go out of their way to make sure their residents are comfortable, and part of a friendly community!

I have been to the Devon Senior Living many times for work, and I am always impressed by the community. The staff is always polite and smiling. I also am dazzled by their activities program. Every time I have been down there, there is a different activity being run and the residents are thoroughly engaged. The community itself is beautiful with a unique and delightful presence.

During our very elderly mothers stay here we got to know and feel welcome by all the staff. From the Director, Linsey, who is available at all times to the maintenance staff. They were all very friendly and my mother and my family are grateful to them for her care.

Devon Senior Living is a cool old mansion with a lot of character. Its not the newest place around and is a bit outdated, but the staff is friendly and you feel like a member of the family when you walk in the front door. The residents seem happy and well cared for and there always seems to be something for them to do.

I love this place! My Mom was very happy at Devon Senior Living. I use to play music for the seniors on Sunday afternoons and was able to see first hand how the seniors were treated and it was top notch. I moved my mom from another home to Devon and never regretted it. The staff really does become family. Great place.

The Devon Senior Living could not be a better home for our mother. Although it is part of the Five Star group, it is nothing like a chain senior living center. The setting and facilities are unique, the atmosphere is more intimate--more like a large family. All the staff greet us warmly every time we visit, and are very attentive. Our mother enjoys the food and the company, and feels as though she has friends among staff and residents alike. She could not be happier, nor could we.

I am a current resident who has lived comfortably in The Devon for six months now. The adjustment to assisted living was made easy by the kindness of the many helpful employees. This senior community offers a wide variety of activities to keep us busy, happy, and healthy. The food is good and there are plenty of options for our more selective residents.

My mother was first recommended to Devon by the most helpful A Place for Mom, for her Dementia, but we went with another A, L place at first. She has now been at Devon since Oct 2014, and it has been a world of difference. The communication between Enrollment Director, Executive Director, Resident Services Director, Business Director, and Concierge Staff has been understanding, prompt and professional. It is a very stressful time with her Dementia, but Devon has given us much peace of mind. I would highly recommend it. Any concerns have been taken seriously and we have been communicated with respect and issues resolved. She loves the menu too. Thank God for The Devon. My father was a carpenter, so their income has always been modest, and Devon is affordable for us, and most others are not. We trust Devon & that is a huge gift in this world we live in.
