The office staff members (particularly Scott Young) have been stellar, not only with communication but also with identifying caregivers who are a good fit to my mother’s personality and evolving needs. My experiences with Griswold (Lower PA Bucks County/Montgomery County office) and with each of its staff members have been exceptional. From my earliest interactions with Julie, who came to assess my father’s care needs, to Scott and Noelen who assist with scheduling, to Isha, the caregiver who Griswold provided ” who is professional, highly skilled, intuitive, and appropriately warm ” I have been not only impressed but impressed enough to spread the word about how good Griswold is. We were introduced to Griswold through their relationship with Penn’s GUIDE Program for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s. My mom and brother, my father’s primary caregivers have, for years, been apprehensive about having a non-family caregiver come into our home. After a recent and challenging hospital stay for my Dad, we reluctantly agreed as a family to look into using Griswold as respite care for my mom and brother. Anyone who has been cautious about having outside help in the home can understand the difficulties involved in such a decision and the amount of trust it takes to cede your loved one’s care to someone else. Griswold and its staff have helped to make this choice less painful, less anxiety-producing, and more manageable for our family. They first worked with us closely to assess my father’s needs, communicated with us about what they could provide, were sensitive to all of our concerns and fears, and worked with us every step of the way to address our needs. In the growing and lucrative home health care industry, there are a lot of new actors for whom this is just a business and who are looking to profit off an aging population. Griswold is not one of these actors. Griswold has been in this arena for a long time, well before it became the booming industry it is today and, based on all my interactions with their administrators and with one of their caregivers, I have a sense that there is a genuine commitment to helping families and to addressing the needs of their loved ones who need care. Griswold’s hourly rates for a home health aide are consistent with market rates even though, in my limited experience, the quality of the services they provide is truly exceptional and perhaps could garner even more compensation. A special thanks to Isha, the caregiver Griswold provided my father. She is professional in her demeanor, highly skilled, intelligent and curious, asks questions and familiarizes herself with what we need, is always on time, has quickly assessed my father’s needs, but also - and impressively - has managed to adjust to working with my mom and brother who are and have been my dad’s caregivers for years. This is a delicate balance to strike and Isha has done it elegantly, and with great empathy, skill, and warmth. I can say, without reservation, that we will continue to use Griswold for as long as we can afford them, and will continue to sing their praises to anyone else who is looking for a home health agency to work with. Among the seemingly endless universe of possible options, we would not choose any other provider after our outstanding experience with Griswold. We engaged Griswold on February 21, 2025 when I was being discharged as an inpatient from Moss Rehab following 2 debilitating ischemic strokes. Griswold provided us with a 24/7 care giver who we had until September 2, 2025. She started out with a tough job, as I was in the early stages of recovering from total right side paralysis. Between February 21 and the end of April I relied on her to get me into/out of bed, onto/off of the toilet, getting dressed, basic grooming, and bathingand she did an outstanding job ! I was receiving physical and occupational therapy twice a week. She kept me committed to my therapy exercises on the days the therapists weren’t present. She was extremely dedicated throughout her 6+ months of service where she provided me with breakfast and lunch, did laundry, and kept the house neat and orderly. She has actually become part of our family and we all love her ! She took off 3 weekends for family events and Griswold provided care givers that were all skilled. We had a great experience with the Griswold team and highly recommend them.

Over a year ago I contacted Griswold Home Care to inquire about a caregiver for my husband. The office staff asked about our specific needs and then sent a caregiver who was a good fit for us. My family sought assistance in obtaining a companion to help prepare, drive back and forth and accompany our 99 year old mother to my brother's wedding. This is not the kind of service that many home care companies offer and from our initial contact we were assured that this is a service they supply with some frequency. Every person we connected with, from the care coordinators to the chosen companion, behaved with kindness, compassion and professionalism. Our mother was not thrilled at first that her children thought she needed this kind of care but the thoughtful and kind attention she received completely changed her mind and she thanked us profusely after the fact. On Monday, January 27, 2025, Griswold Home Care fulfilled the arrangements which we had jointly made the week before for my transportation to Main Line Surgical Center where surgery was performed on my right eye by my Ophthalmologist. I was required to have 1:1 supervision and could not drive. An Administrator from Griswold Home Care used his own vehicle to transport me to/from the Bala Cynwyd location. The arrangement was flawless and driver, Scott Young, was quite courteous and kind. Previously, on March 8, 2024, Griswold Home Services oversaw my transportation to/from Einstein East Norriton Hospital when I needed 1:1 care and supervision for a medical procedure. At that time driver, Connor Holyk, was similarly extremely kind and helpful toward me. I would highly recommend Griswold Home Care of Blue Bell, PA. for its' dedicated attention and empathetic care such as I have received. on these two occasions. Hi, my name is Stephanie McCue. My husband is Donald McCue and I'm about to share my experience with Griswold home care and in particular one of their aides named Tyrone Tann. First a little background information. Don is almost 92 years old with deteriorating dementia and a few medical issues. He's a veteran. Before coming to Griswold, I engaged another agency but had some serious issues with them and the care they provided for Don. After four attempts I finally let them go. I contacted Griswold and made an appointment. I met with Shelia who patiently sat and listened to my horror story, making occasional comments and assurances that that is not the Griswold way. I have to interject here, if you ever want to talk to someone,talk to Shelia.her quite demure and soft spoken voice is just what you need when you're upset and frustrated over a situation. She has a calming effect and solution to your problem. She assured me they would find the right person for Don. She did. His name is Tyrone Tann. Oh, gosh, is he ever a gem. He is so good to Don. Patient, calming and ever vigilant. Don moves and Tyrone moves right beside him. He even gets Don to engage with him, which isn't easy to do with dementia patients. Tyrone is always willing to help in any situation, whether it's mopping a floor, doing up dishes or helping Don into the shower because he's soiled himself and needs to get cleaned up. We recently needed to bring in a hospital bed for Don. I know this isn't part of his duties but Tyrone dusted off his hands and said what do you need me to do. I also have health issues and was unable to accomplish what needed to be done. Tyrone carefully moved furniture around so we could have the bed set up. He also has a calming effect on the household. He is so pleasant to be around. My daughter wants to keep him. I wish I could find the words to better present Tyrone's abilities. This young man has truly found his calling, both with the patient and family . Which is also a very important part of the dynamics when your loved one needs extra care. I feel like the outside caregiver also is in some way caring for the entire household. I know that someday Tyrone will have to leave us. We will give him our heartfelt gratitude and wish him well in his next venture, close the door and cry a little. So in closing if ever you find the need for care, comfort, empathy, and compassion call Griswold Home Care. If Tyrone is an example of the caregivers on staff you won't go wrong.
