A huge thank you to everyone at The Dalles Health and Rehabilitation Center for taking such great care of my mother. Since suffering from a stroke 7 years ago and now recently having a heart attack, my mother needed as much help as she could get for her recovery process. Fortunately, she was able to get into your center and has received the best physical therapy she has ever experienced. We were concerned that she really wouldn't be able to walk again. However, she is now able to walk up and down the hallway with support. Every team member took wonderful care of my mom and had her engaging in activities that she hadn't done in a few years. We are fortunate to have such a great center in our community.

My husband was admitted to the Dalles Health and Rehabilitation Center after having a stroke... not ever having experienced any thing like this we did not know what to expect... We were incredibly surprised and pleased with the the quality of the care he got there. From the administrators Jason and his wife , the nurses, cna's, to the people that keep the place clean and healthy,,, they took such care to make his stay there as pleasant and as fruitful as possible... We felt like we were part of their working family... Thank you all for everything you did for us.

The Dalles health and rehab deserves 10 stars! I visit a friend once a week and each time their care and cleanliness is top notch. If there's a question about anything they take care of it immediately. Even the food is good! I would want my own mother to go here if she needed assistance. I would also want to receive care here myself if it ever became necessary! Heroes really do work here!! GOD bless you all!!

The staff is absolutely wonderful with my Grandmother. Grandma dedicated her life to taking care of her 7 kids, 13 grandkids, 25 great-great grandkids and 5 great-great grandchildren. Never missed a birthday, graduation, wedding or anniversary. The staffer cares for her like the queen that she is!!! Thank you again!

Jason and staff did a wonderful job of taking care of my mother of 88 yrs old who just had a hip replacement, they did a great job of rehabilitating her and took very good care of her while she was there for a little over two week. My sister and I really appreciated how kind and knowledgeable the staff was with my mother. Thank you from Cindy and Christy

I just completed a challenging process that started On October 17th when my mom (96 years young), fell and broke her left hip for the second time in two years. The doctors in The Dalles did not offer much hope and referred her to a specialist at Adventist Hospital in Portland, . Thankfully, their surgery experts were able to complete a very successful hip replacement. On October 25th she was transported to The Dalles Health and Rehabilitation Center for a great experience while she enjoyed her recovery. She was treated like family with quality, and loving care. I want to personally thank Facility Director Jasen, and Nursing Director Leana and their team of quality and experienced staff for providing excellent care that made my mom's recovery go by quickly and with high success. John, the Director of Physical Therapy and his experienced team also did a great job as on day 47 she was able to walk out and come home without pain or problems. Our family really appreciates the loving and caring attention that my mom received as she overcame a very difficult injury. I would highly recommend The Dalles Health and Rehabilitation Center if you are in need quality care.

I just want to Thank everyone at The Dalles Rehabilitation for the excellent care given to my mother recently. From Jasen, the nursing staff, the support staff, and any one in between she was given the care and support she needed to get stronger. The new kitchen staff listened to our concerns and needs and addressed them appropriately. The nurses were kind, gentle, and supportive. Her Rehabilitation staff, ie PT and OT were incredible! Even the amazing staff that kept her room clean and comfortable. Upon being discharged they have made sure the transition home has been a good one. I do not know all the names of the staff that cared for my parents but thank you so very much from the bottom of my heart! We had excellent care for my dad too. When my dad needed a place to go they quickly found a room available. We were also thankful for his care last Fall. Again thank you! I would highly recommend The Dalles Rehabilitation to anyone needing this kind of care.

Our good friend experienced a bad fall in her home, resulting in 3 nights in the hospital. The hospital staff felt that our 93-year-old friend would best be served by releasing her to her home under hospice care. However, we felt that she deserved a chance to recover and rehabilitate to the extent that she might be able to return home and with limited daily assistance live out the remainder of her life. Fortunately, The Dalles Health and Rehabilitation Center (TDHRC) had an opening for her. After 6 weeks of working with both a physical therapist and occupational therapist, she was scheduled for release to her home. Unfortunately, she passed away (peacefully in her sleep) while we were still arranging for her move to her home. While it may seem a bit ironic that her life had not really been extended all that much longer by staying at the rehab center, in actuality, the quality of her life for the last 6 weeks was far superior to that of her previous several years. This was due to the tremendous help and support from all the staff at TDHRC. Through our observation of staff interactions with both our friend and other residents, we saw nothing but professionalism tempered with compassion and goodwill. We're sure that our friend was one of their more difficult cases, as she lived alone without any close family for the last 30 years and was used to doing things her way, by her self, and was very very stubborn. Once she opened up a bit, she seemed to have more happy days than we have seen her having for several years. Her caregivers and trainers became the family that she had been missing. I work for a case management entity and one of my customers spent 20 days to rehab before moving back home. I found the administration (Jason, Sarah and Phyllis) open to discuss my concerns with my customer. They listened to input on how to best serve my customer. The physical and occupational therapists did an excellent job preparing my customer to go home. I watched several of these sessions and they treated my customer with the utmost respect. The nursing and medical provider were also very helpful in addressing needs of my customer. The dietician was also helpful to take the time to meet with us for input on meal preferences. They make homemade meals and work hard to make food that the patients like. I wouldn't hesitate to have family or my customers stay at The Dalles Health and Rehab. Thank you to all the staff for all you do!

My 94 year old mother broke her ankle requiring surgery. She was sent here for rehab and after two months of PT she was able to return to her apartment at The Springs. The staff was kind and caring. Her PT was excellent. To experience this during the pandemic made the expression "Heroes Work Here" more than just a slogan. My family cannot begin to thank all of the workers at this facility for the wonderful care and encouragement she received.
