Placing mom into an assisted senior living facility is a journey. I've learned that while my duties aren't 24/7, I still have an important role to play. To advocate for, to organize for, to do for, to shop for, research what she needs, be a touchstone to ground her, are all duties I am responsible to do. The 1st place she lived at provided minimal at best care, all about their money and unprofessional conduct. Suncrest, Trustwell Living, is her 2nd place and is amazing and wonderful in contrast. Mom is now given care, engaged with, motivated, inspired and safe. Thank you to the staff who are caring, reliable, honest, thoughtful, polite and effective with mom. I highly recommend them as a great place for your loved one. Again, thank you for making my duties so much easier and less stressful.

Had my mom evaluated for respite care. Not once during the evaluation was there any hint she would not be placed in the facility. I was even instructed on items I would need bring for her stay. A week went by and did not receive a call back. When I called to inquire on her stay, they said they would call me back. I received an email later that evening telling me they would not be accepting my mom. I asked for a call back to explain why that was never mentioned as a possibility, after a few days I am still waiting for a call. Very unprofessional. Sounds like I place I would not want to put a loved one anyway.

I'm compelled to express my deep disappointment with Enlivant's (Suncrest's parent company) recent actions. My father, an 80-year-old stroke patient, had been approved to move into one of your Oregon facilities - a decision made by a healthcare professional. However, due to a sudden management change, his admission was retracted today, on the day of his scheduled move, leaving us in a lurch. The heartbreaking news was conveyed by a devastated staff member, who expressed their frustration about being unable to accommodate residents requiring a higher level of care - an issue which clearly contradicts their own practices. This incident has made it clear that Enlivant's decisions are not driven by healthcare professionals but by individuals who lack an understanding of the patient's needs. I urge Enlivant to reconsider its approach and put healthcare professionals back in charge of care decisions. I will ensure that this incident is well-publicized within my community and the media, highlighting the importance of informed, compassionate decision-making in healthcare.

Over a nearly two-year period, the staff took wonderful care of both of my parents through the ends of their lives. They kept me, as the primary caregiver informed and involved. I felt that they went out of their way to help my parents feel respected and loved. I especially valued how they listened to and honored what both Mom and Dad wanted individually and as a couple in terms of their end-of-life care. It is a small facility with a home-like feeling.

The food tonight was wonderful! My mother in law, who normally eats very little, at everything that was in front of her! She also commented that the artwork is beautiful, the halls are wide and well-lit and the floors are easy to navigate with her walker.

My aunt so far has had a pleasant experience with the staff at this community. She has recently fell and is unable to make it down to the dinning hall so they have made accommodations as best as they can to help her. They often check on her in the room and bring her meals to her in her apartment. Other than a few issues we as a family have been content with the quality of care she has been receiving and have no complaints.
