On Tuesday the 21st, I was out in the lobby waiting to be assisted, stood there waiting nearly half an hour trying to stop a staff member. When I had finally got the attention of someone, she looked right through me, and looked out of it. I understand people have bad days, but it seemed to be a trend with the rest of the staff. Any other staff I had happen to see had already seemed to be occupied with something else. I don’t understand if they don’t have the support they need. But this is not acceptable. There was no management to get a hold of either. Moral is low. All I needed was a brochure, but no longer considering this as a home for my mother.

I have been a satisfied resident of Brookdale Oswego Springs for the past five years, and plan to continue living here. This beautiful three-story building is tucked away in a forested area away from heavy traffic and other urban sounds. As staff is very thorough and caring, I feel safe here. I am an artist, and am graciously permitted to tole paint in my room. I am a published writer including children's books put out by Concordia, an Oregon history book, poetry and more. Because of my background, I am the editor of The Brookdale Blab, a 6-page monthly newsletter. With the help of my sister, I have established a lovely vegetable garden in a raised bed serving the kitchen, staff and residents alike. Our sales manager, Chelsea May, is very professional and approachable. She'll help you find just the right room for you. Come join us!

I have had several opportunities to observe both staff and residents. The staff scheduled my music group, VOXANOVA, to provide several evenings of music entertainment for the residents. It is evident that the staff truly care for the residents. When a staff member was considering including our music as part of an upcoming celebration, the staff member consulted with one of the residents to help make the decision. During our performance I had the opportunity to observer the staff interacting with residents. It was evident that everyone is treated with respect and care. The facility is beautiful and well maintained. A very comfortable setting. It is evident that the residents feel very comfortable in this setting. I enjoyed my time visiting with both staff and each member I encountered. A very positive experience.

My uncle suffered a traumatic house fire which left him seeking a new residence. The entire Brookdale staff was extremely sympathetic and understanding and made his transition seamless. The meals are excellent and our experience with the Sales Manager and Executive Director have been stellar all around; they are responsive, caring and efficient and I feel that they genuinely care about the well being of my uncle.

My encounters with the staff have been pleasant and very friendly. I belive the staff genuinely cares about the residents because I have seen multiple staff members go out of their way to help the residents and I have seen the friendly banter the staff has with residents. The facility is clean and has a welcoming atmosphere. I would recommend this community for anyone looking.

My brother, Ken, had been in poor health and had lived in an independent living home, a group home and another assisted living facility. About 8 months ago, Ken decided to make a change, and we visited Brookdale Oswego Springs. We were both impressed with the facility and after talking to the nurse there, Valerie, he moved in. It was a great decision! Ken has received wonderful care, made many friends and the staff is amazing. The director, Rachel, is so accommodating and everyone who works there has been very helpful, always going above and beyond to help. I can't say enough about how pleased Ken and I are with Brookdale Oswego Springs! Best of all, Ken's health has improved since being at Oswego Springs and I have never seen him happier! Thank you, Brookdale Owego Springs!

Living in this assisted living community, Brookdale Oswego Springs, has been a wonderful experience for me. I’ve lived here for 10 years and my condition is much better compared to when I moved in. At 77, I find comfort in knowing that help is always available whenever I need it. The staff are caring and attentive, making daily life so much easier. Also, I've met many incredible people here; there's always something to do, from social events to fitness classes, which keeps me active and engaged. The safety and security of this community give me and my family peace of mind. It's truly a place where I can enjoy my independence while knowing support is just a call away.

I am so happy with our Selection with Brookdale Oswego Springs, when my Mother needed this new Home. The Staff there has always been so helpful to her as well as our Family members. I must say, COVID has been the biggest Challenge for everyone and the Management and Staff always handled it so well. At first my Mom was not happy with having to Change from a long term Home to Assisted Living, but they won her over hands down. Now she calls them Home with Pride. ** I am so happy with this choice, and I hope this note gives a positive attitude to anyone needing help with precious family members.

The food is very good, the house keeping is very good, the staff are over all exceptional. Living here is home every day and I can't say enough about how great Brookdale, Oswego Spring really is the senior place to be.

Nadia and Jeanette are great med techs, they always have a smile and are efficient. Ellie does a fantastic job at setting up activities, I especially loved her morning work outs to keep me fit. Bingo was also one of my favorites. Richelle is a wonderful person she is always cheerful and nice. Susan, the DSD does a wonderful job getting all our meals out if it wasn't for her we would all starve to death! Kiki is the receptionist and she's always helpful to everyone, she made sure I got rides to and from my doctors appointments. Nico helped me quite a bit and I very much appreciate him. Demi hasn't been here long but she is doing a great job! There are many people who helped me along the way, I cant remember all the names but they know who they are. In my six months here everyone helped me in some way, I'm sad to be leaving but excited to go home! All in all I will miss you and I love you all. I will miss sleeping on the couch in the dining room and my walks on the path around the building!

My mother’s circumstances before arriving to Brookdale were dire and filled with uncertainty due to past partner abuse, loneliness and neglect. Our choice to have her live there was made out of time urgency, location and they had a sense of genuine caregiving. Brookdale Oswego Springs fit the bill and we would reassess in a few months. That few months has turned into 15 months and so much has happened in that time frame. I can declare that had it not been for the kind, efficient and personal care of the staff and administrators, my mom would not have made the tremendous strides in her physical and mental health, once again cheerful and optimistic. She feels safe and secure in her environment. Brookdale has done their best with all the pandemic challenges and trying to control duties and care, with regards to providing as much normalcy and resident interaction as possible. At the beginning, staff turnover was a concern but has since stabilized. Occasionally short staffed and newly-trained assistants can cause a few things to fall in between the cracks but a quick phone call to Kiki, Leah,Scott and Ellie have been ourrock and fixer for any concerns we’ve had. I feel rewarded that mom has expressed that we saved her life after what she’s been through and says that she’s looking forward to celebrating her 90th birthday, here- in 2022!

Kiki has been an amazing help with my mother! She moved in February of 2020...obviously a difficult time to make the transition in hindsight. Kiki has been the person my mother bonded with and has been a tremendous asset in helping both my mother and I navigate this difficult time. She has gone above and beyond to help me get my mother what she needs and helping my mother with all the little things that can be difficult in a new place.

Without your care I'm not sure he would have made it. I have been a resident at Brookdale Oswego Springs for a year. The staff have been helpful and friendly. I leave with fond memories of both staff and many residents. In fact, I am moving to another Brookdale location to be near my grandkids but plan to visit my friends.

I have lived at Oswego Springs for about two months, I think that the food is very good. I also enjoyed our painting class, I like the grounds and being outside. I like all the caregivers and have made new friends. Its nice place and I would recommend it.

My husband's brother spent his last couple years on earth here at Oswego Springs.He loved it every day--so many things to do, very nice neighbors, such caring staff. They invite the residents' families to come for dinner every month, and there was always entertainment provided. What a wonderful way to encourage family involvement. Pool, cards, gardening, outings, afternoon snacks, exercise classes, art classes, library, on site barber, puzzles, board games, excellent food--where do I sign up??! It's a beautiful place to call home, and we're so glad Del got to live his last years there.
