What a wonderful facility! Clean, beautiful, spacious and the staff are amazing. So caring and compassionate. My sister and I are thrilled we found SummerPlace and that our Mom could move in and receive this incredible care. We are also impressed with amount of activities and amenities that SummerPlace provides. I will definitely recommend this place whenever possible.

Understaffed. And most of the staff they do have should pick a different profession. My Mom recieved minimal care and that was when I was there with her. I hate to think about how they treated her when she was alone. It was nice for her there at first. She was happy enough and could get around her one bedroom suite well enough using her Walker. Then she fell and broke her shoulder and needed alot more assistance. One day I arrived and she was in the bathroom on the toilet. The aid left her there and said he'd be right back. Ten - 15 minutes had gone by and he hadn't returned. She was finished and was calling for him. And calling and calling. I called the front desk to try to get someone back here. They said they'd find someone. 15 minutes passed and no one came. I went to the desk very upset and they apologized and again said they would find someone so I went back to my Mom and told her they'd be right here. Pretty soon one girl showed up. It takes 2 people to safely get her into her wheelchair. With only 1 her leg was cut. Twice! Mom told me they'd left her on the toilet for an hour before but I didn't image she could be right about that until they took 45 minutes while I was there! She didn't want me to complain. Said it wouldn't do any good. My Mom was 93. She contracted COVID from unvaccinated staff. She had never left her room. So now we couldn't even visit and none of the other residents could have visitors. We had to get hospice involved. Then we could go be with her. Hospice put her on comfort care at that point. Morphine and some anxiety meds. While I was there her meds were oftentimes late and had worn off. Some staff was very nice. Others were rude. My sister or I stayed with her overnight the last few nights of her life. It was hard and sad. Hard to have to call multiple times for someone to bring meds as she moaned or cried out in pain. Very hard. It will take a very long time to get over the whole experience. Not at all how we imagined our mom's last weeks of life would be. I am venting but I would not recommend Summerplace Assisted Living to anyone that needs a moderate to high level of care.

My mother lived at Summerplace since August 2008. She passed there last June at 100 yrs old. The staff treated her as if she was their family and she loved it. Having dementia like hers it was important to feel safe and cared for a quality of life. Ive worked as an RN in dementia care and it is always challenging at best. They were kind and welcoming, communicating with me to work through the issues of her care. I appreciated all their help and support, especially during this difficult and extended time of Covid quarantine when residents and their families have to live with all the imposed restrictions to keep them safe. Im grateful that it was where my mom had to spend her time passing. The facility is clean and well kept, one of the nicer assisted livings that Ive been. Needless to say I recommend it as a good place for an aging vulnerable population.

I recently was helping a family member navigate the ins and outs of senior living with all the choices and details. I had no idea what that all entailed!My uncle has been in his home for over 4 decades and this was a real change both physically and mentally.ndrew and Rachel were both professional and courteous. They answered all of our questions. In fact they told us things that we would not have even thought to ask !?! They really gave us the whole picture and I truly felt they cared about the needs of my loved one. Its rare in this day and age to actually find people in any line of work that take the time and do not rush you and answer every question you might have with patience and knowledge. I highly recommend you sit down with one or both of them if you find your loved one needs assisted living. I will continue to sing their praises to anyone I meet who may be looking for such a community.

My aunt is currently in Summer Place. Overall, I havent been impressed with most of the evening staff. The woman my aunt deals with is down right rude, and unpleasant to deal with. She has floored me a couple times with her poor attitude. Ive also overheard other residents completley dissastified with this lady. Last weekend, while eating with my aunt I overheard not one but two different residents ask a woman to give them there medications. Per policies, she couldnt just do that, it had to be approved and she directed them to speak with upper management. In the midst of the stress this new woman was under, she maintained an OUTSTANDING, I mean OUTSTANDING amount of professionalism. She was kind, listened, and de escalated the conversation by honoring their feelings. The other med tech, who was displeased that her residents were complaining to her said things like you need to mind your business and go somewhere. She still maintained a positive attitude. She acknowledges every resident she walks by, has fluent conversations with the residents, keeps the conversations about them and their happiness and I am thrilled that my aunt has someone in that building that I know will protect her at any cost, as well as the other residents. When dinner was over, a gentleman stood up and yelled across the dinning room and said I love you so much thank you and it was heart warming to the fullest. I didnt get her name, but if you had 100 employees like that, this building would thrive. I truly hope she is recognized for her phenomenal work performance while enduring the impact of her fellow employees abuse and lack of good work ethic. She has dimples, with jewels in them, and is as cute as a button!!Treat her well summerplace!!!

I love working here, it is nice to be able to come to work and everyone is smiling, upper management has made big changes for the better, I love that the residents Know me and love to take time to get a hug or just take a few minutes to talk, and share a laugh. Gingee, Stacey, Alex and all of the upper management have made big strides to improve Summerplace, they have created a great team and I love the communication that they have with the med techs and Pcas. I would recommend anyone to come visit us, come and apply here, this is a second home. Thank you Summerplace! Keep up the good work that you do for the residents as well as your employees.

I have yet to meet my grandmas favorite person latley, but she always tells me about how interesting her dimples are she has real diamonds in them she says. She calls hayli her friend and thats pretty cool. Awsome to hear more feedback on this lady. Im flying in from Colorado next week and Im stoked to put a face to a name!

I was extremely impressed with the level of care and compassion that was shown during my visit to Summerplace. The imminent need for such services isnt something we think about for our loved ones until the need arises. The staff was very helpful in explaining the transition and what to expect. It was very clear that they cared about the quality of life for their residents. I would recommend to anyone interested in learning more about Assisted Living at Summerplace to schedule a visit and consultation so that you can see the community and meet the staff. 5 stars!

I moved my parents in Assisted Living at Summerplace. My dad lives in the Assisted Living side and my Mom lives in the Memory care. I think they struggled with reputation issues early on, but they have proven to be a wonderful group of people and deliver on all promises. They have the most nurses on staff of any assisted living I looked at. They truly have changed the way my mom and live and added so much quality of life into their routines. We are very happy with this facility. The care is excellent!

This place has taken me by surprise. This building has been here for ages. Its a humble but very comfortable place. The staff exceeds our expectations and the Nurses Debbie and Alex are the most compassionate and wonderful people. We feel good knowing that our mom is in great and professional hands. We looked at many places and found. While assisted living summer place is not brand new, dont be fooled by other places and their sparkle. You wont nearly get anything close to the commitment this place has to the people that live here.

After a long search for a place my husband & I can call our forever home, we found exactly what weve been looking for. Had a great tour of Summerplace. Even enjoyed a nice lunch. We were very impressed with the cleanlieness of the community, & the friendlieness of staff.When we first came through the front doors, I told my husband: This is where we need to live! what a pretty place!!We plan to make this our forever home. We were referred by a family that goes to the same church as we do. Their mother had lived here for several years and when my mom started needing more assistance with her medication and meals we decided to take a tour. The management staff made the process very easy. They are one of the only places that had two bedroom apartments. Mom has been very happy with her care there and Debbie the nurse is just wonderful!

My mom lives here at Prestige assisted living Summerplace and just adores it! This was a rough transition for her to make coming from her home in Gresham. She was needing more help around the house and she is pleased to finally pulled te plug to make a transition to assisted living. Moving my parents to assisted living was extremely difficult, challenging and altogether overwhelming. The staff at Summerplace know how trying this can be and do whatever they can in order to make the move in and transition easy. Special thanks and infinite gratitude to Alisha (Regional Sales Specialist) who has gone above and beyond to help us from our very first meeting. From treating my parents like family, to helping us with movers, to coming to our end of town to get paperwork signed, coordinating with medical staff to get forms filled, to checking in with us on moving day, introducing my parents to other residents ...these are just a few examples of the kindness we experienced from her.Summerplace assisted living facility itself is open, warm and welcoming with a large dining area, beautifully maintained grounds and bright and spacious apartments. The staff in the dining room are patient and attentive to the needs of the residents. A few residents stopped by our table to welcome my parents and a common sentiment echoed by them is the staff are amazing. The fact that a family member can stay for a few days to help parents settle in is a bonus.The meals are varied, well prepared and served with sufficient choices. A volunteer comes in and plays the piano at lunch on Thursdays.Having read some of the reviews posted, I must admit I was apprehensive at first but on our second and third visits here, my parents and I had the same feeling of warmth and being welcome. Meeting and talking with the director Katie and later with Malea and Simon just reconfirmed that this was the place for them. My parents and I believe that this will be a good fit based in our amazing first impression.

My father was placed in Summerplaces memory care for Alzheimers about a month ago. He had been forced out of 2 different facilities that really didnt have trained staff and hadreallyhighturnover.Summerplace has been wonderful. At my dads stage with Alzheimers, there has been several incidents with his behavior. Summerplace has handled each one with professionalism. We were worried about this, but the staff has always told us this is quite common and we are trained to deal with this.If its time to put a loved one in memory care, skip the others. They will make you feel bad about caring for your loved one. They fail to realize the obvious that you are paying a lot of money for them to handle someone with Alzheimers. Summerplace takes everything in stride. They expect this kind of behavior, are well trained to handle it, and from what I can tell, they have very little turnover.Thank you Summerplace!!!A++++

Summerplace is a great building with an even better community. Ive had several opportunities to meet some of the residents and staff and leave with nothing but a positive experience every time. Activities seem to always be new and different. I really get that feeling of happiness when interacting or talking with the residents. All in all, they appear to cater to a broad range of people and Ive yet to have a negative experience.

Beautiful Place with Caring People! I love visiting at Summerplace. The people that work there are always so helpful. No matter what we need they are willing to help us out or find someone who can answer our questions. They have the best memory care program around. They rarely have a vacancy. We would highly recommend anyone to live here. Many of our friends and families have been living here a very long time too. The food and activities are just wonderful. You just know its going to be good every day. We never hear any complaints which makes us very happy!
