I am an outside Hospice provider and frequently visit River Terrace to see some of our patients, who are on service and reside there. Every single day, I witness their constant efforts to improve patient care, a desire to accommodate ANY population of individual in need and a willingness to make changes to improve staffing and morale…. Every single employee in that building, cares deeply for their patients and they work VERY hard to provide the BEST care possible to a population that is difficult to manage. Thank you for the kindness and compassion you show EVERY resident and their families. You have no idea the impact each of you are making, on the lives of so many.

I interviewed and visited numerous memory care homes in the area before choosing River Terrace. I am 100% convinced that we made the right decision for my dad in law. The care staff are kind, patient, compassionate, attentive and safety conscious. The medication techs are always on top of health concerns and are easy to work with, as is the in house RN. The life enrichment team provides fun and positive interaction and activities, and there is always something great going on. Kitchen staff is phenomenal, and it's a treat when I get to enjoy a meal there. The management team is experienced, caring, well organized and truly dedicated to creating a wonderful environment and excellent care for their residents. They have created a welcoming culture to encourage family members to visit and participate in their loved ones life, as well as the community. I only have positive things to say about River Terrace and I am grateful that my father in law has been so well cared for the past 2 years.

This facility is exceptional in my experience over the last 10 days with my Grandmother on hospice. I am a Home Health Social Worker so I've seen a lot of facilities and rarely have I experienced such caring staff and community and such an involved owner. What makes them exceptional is: 1. Level of care - my grandmother is bed bound and her skin still looks good which is no small feat. They clearly love their residents and my Grandma loves them so much I have seen her hug and kiss different caregivers in my time here. It has made my heart so happy to know even when family hasn't been here she's felt safe and loved. From the administrative staff to the caregivers everyone has stories to tell about her - she's called the flamingo because she has fallen asleep while standing up and she was famous for stealing the pudding from the med cart. Every time I use the call light they are here in a matter of minutes, I've always been able to find a med tech or caregiver to answer my questions. Jeffrey the owner is here on a daily basis and he is constantly working on keeping this place staffed, which means every day I have been here he has been interviewing people. I have been to other facilities who are struggling with staffing and aren't nearly as proactive. 2. Enrichment- the level of activities and engagement this facility has is awesome! I've seen a guitar player/singer, Halloween decorating party, Bingo, and an awesome game with pool noodles and balloons that I could call "keep it up. My Grandmother's roommate gets invited to come join by a staff member consistently and the activities folks even bring in scent stuff for my Grandma to enjoy because she isn't able to participate anymore. From what I have seen the meals look appetizing and you can recognize the food for what it is (taco salad, baked potato, etc.) and they've been gracious enough while I've been here to offer 3. Payor Sources- often when I find places like this they are private pay, this place does accept those on Medicaid spend down depending on availability. Shoutout to Autumn of Life Placement Agency for locating this wonderful place for my grandmother's last few years. I can't thank everyone enough! Is everything perfect here? No. Items have been lost (same rules as daycare don't leave anything here you want back in my opinion) and communication may not be perfect but you know why? That's not the most important thing, the most important thing is that the residents are loved and cared for. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to one of my patients or put another family member here and that's the highest praise I can give anyone!

I moved my 90 year old mama to River Terrace Memory Care from independent living when her memory issues made it unsafe for her to live alone. Jeffrey (director) has a HUGE heart and really cares about the residents. He sets the example for staff of how he expects them to treat the residents. Susan (office manager) is very helpful to family members with our myriad of questions, and treats the residents with respect and kindness. The caregivers (too many to mention them all) are gentle, kind and caring with the residents. I must mention Erin and Brianna because they have answered the phone when I’ve called many times, just needing to be assured that mom is doing well. They are so patient and calm, it always puts my mind at ease. The new Life Enrichment Coordinator (Colleen) has some awesome ideas for activities that will be both enjoyable and meaningful to the residents. She and her assistant Emily will be a great team! Emily has such exuberance, energy and willingness to get up and dance whenever the opportunity arises. In closing, if you want your loved one actually cared ABOUT as well as cared for, this is the right place!

I temporarily worked at River Terrace as their Life Enrichment Coordinator after spending many, many years delivering occupational therapy services at a majority of Portland metro Memory Care and ALF Communities. River Terrace delivers exceptional services, especially when compared to other local memory care facilities. The management team works well together and they really care about the wellbeing of it's staff and their residents. River Terrace is clean and well run. The owner/administrator is extremely hands on and corners are never cut which is very common in large, corporate run facilities. I hope that I would never need to use their services, but I would not hesitate to place a loved one in their care if I had to.

Moving a loved one into memory care is difficult for everyone involved. Our dad has been at River Terrace for a year now. Even with the added obstacles COVID-19 has dumped on us, we feel that my dads care is wonderful. The staff are awesome and caring. There are lots of fun activities. Most importantly he is safe and well! We appreciate the environment theyve created for our dad and the other residents. He had been in two other assisted living facilities prior to River Terrace and the care he is receiving now isnt even comparable...it has exceeded the others an immeasurable amount!!!

While looking for a memory care home for my wife, we interviewed at half a dozen facilities. We were looking for a safe and loving environment with a well-trained and caring staff and experienced management. After evaluating the choices, it was clear that River Terrace, in Oregon City, by far best met our needs. Now that my wife has been a resident of River Terrace for a couple of months, I am totally convinced that we made the best possible choice. When my wife moved into her room, it was totally set up, complete with furniture placement, wall art hung, family photos displayed, stuffed animals arranged, and so on. A warm and welcoming environment, and this setup was personally done by the owner and another of the managers. This caring attitude has extended to every aspect of my wifes care. Staff are caring, patient and compassionate. Both management and staff communicate with us regularly, so we never feel left in the dark about anything. If we have any questions, management is always ready to respond or take appropriate action. There is a diverse array of activities planned to keep the residents active and involved, and meals are well balanced, healthy and tasty. The facility itself is quite new, and is clean, well lighted and well maintained. It is moderately sized, so that a more personal relationship can develop between residents and staff. The owner is also a member of the management team, and is personally involved with the residents on a daily basis. He has demonstrated a personal commitment to excellence, and this commitment is seen throughout the entire staff. And of course, safety is of paramount importance. Though the residents are unable to leave the facility unaccompanied, they are nonetheless free to enjoy the outdoors in a large interior courtyard. Its nice to feel comfortable knowing my wife is being cared for in a great place by people I completely trust. Awesome staff and facility. I highly recommend River Terrace to anyone in need of such a facility.

I am so fortunate to have found River Terrace to care for my partner during her last 8 months of life. The staff are wonderful. The facility is clean, safe and functional with lots of natural light and a beautiful inner courtyard for residents to enjoy. There are a wide variety of activities available for residents and the meals I shared there were always delicious. I can not say thank you enough to the staff for their care.

I am a Project Manager for a construction company that regularly works in Senior Care and Memory Care facilities on renovation and other facility improvement projects. While working on a renovation project at River Terrace, I was impressed by Jeffrey and the staff. For one thing, Jeffrey cared about creating a warm, safe and comfortable home for the residents. He expected quality in both workmanship and materials, with the recognition that the residents deserve to live in a dignified environment where they and their families can be comfortable and cared for. Which brings me to the the staffing. While working in the facility, I could observe the staffs care of the residents. I felt that the kindness and compassion shown to the residents as individuals, as well as the quality of activities throughout the day was heart warming. In addition, I would usually find Jeffrey himself sitting with residents, warmly chatting and interacting with them. I would highly recommend that anyone looking for a memory care facility for a loved one to consider River Terrace.

River Terrace is a beautiful home for my mom. Every staff member is caring, loving, experienced, and patient. There are plenty of activities for residents, even in the midst of COVID-19. We have had Zoom calls, window visits and will soon have patio visits. Mom loves her new home and I am so pleased that we found River Terrace Memory Care in Oregon City.

My Dad had to be moved to River Terrace after going to look for his car and getting lost at dark. Prior to moving to River Terrace Memory Care Facility I became mentally, physically and emotionally drained worrying about my Dad 24-7. He needed to be around other people most all the time and have activities to keep him from getting bored. this facility is beautiful with so much natural light and outdoor spaces tat the residents can enjoy. It looks like home. Its a facility that he cant accidentally wander off.The Employees are AWESOME! Its not just a job for them, they sincerely care about each and everyone of the residents and it shows. They have gone above and beyond to take measures so that everyone stays Healthy, especially during this COVID time.They have wonderful fun activities all throughout each day and a Movie every night after dinner. This is so important for Seniors that suffer Sun downers. My Dad is happy here and has friends. 🙂 River Terrace has mad it so that I can sleep better each night and not worry each day that my Dad is ok. The Employees and the facility have been nothing but a BLESSING to myself and my Dad. I thank God for this Facility and their Employees. <3
