My husband has lived there almost a year. The caregivers I have encountered have been caring and helpful. The administration is not always totally forthright; we had an issue but when an ombudsman became involved the issue was resolved. My husband likes living there.

My mother had retreated into total isolation in her home. Now after being in Avamere she has made 5 friends, participates in activities and mentally greatly improved even though she has Alzeheimer's dementia.

Beautiful facility, they recently had a remodel and it looks great! All the employees were really helpful when I came in to see the building. Definitely a place I'd consider for my loved ones when the time comes!

I want to thank all the staff for helping me feel welcomed on my first week here. Megan has been a great source of knowledge as I'm learning more about senior living. David is the maintenance Director and he is willing to go out of his way to help both staff and residents. The caregiving staff really thrives on going far and beyond for the residents' care. The kitchen staff is super prideful on the food they serve and the service they give in the restaurant. The medical team is super fast in responding and wants to make sure that the residents are well taken care of. The residents have been equally as helpful to me as the staff has in showing me around and sharing their stories. I've gotten to learn of their needs and how us as the staff can improve. And I'm looking forward to becoming the new source for senior living in Newberg.

I use to work in the per diam staffing arena and so I visited a lot of facilities. This has always been one of my favorites. Friendly and well trained staff with a clean and healthy environment. If your looking for a place that will help you take care of your loved ones in their twilight years, this is an excellent choice. I would.
