My mom is in memory care at Arbor Oaks and feel she is in the finest of memory care homes. We couldn’t ask for a more homey atmosphere and the staff truly loves the residents. My mom is always telling me that they love her and make her feel special. I the families are also felt special. And they always have such fun activities going on. It’s a very difficult phase in life but Arbor Oaks makes it as easy as possible right from the start. I was terrified to go through the process but Melissa made it seamless. Such a relief to know my mom would be safe and loved.

The Springs at Beaverton is an exceptional assisted living facility. After living here for over 3 years, my Mom thoroughly enjoyed so many aspects of her living at The Springs, especially all of the fun social activities and the friendships she developed with residences and staff. The Executive Director and his staff are very caring and they had excellent, open communications with me and my Mom. The care team gave a huge effort toward assisting my Mom. We highly recommend this facility.

The facility was clean and professional, while also comfortable and welcoming. The staff really seem to care about their guests and seem to put them first. My mom went into hospice being cared for by the folks at Arbor Oaks. They were excellent to work with and my mom had wonderful care. Everyone was very attentive to her needs and caring. My family was very happy with the care she received.

I will say up front that the staff there are excellent, worthy of a 4-5 star. However, calling today to visit, and was told facility on lockdown, yet residents can go out and spread it into community, or bring back, since do not wear masks there. I understand, but to stand outside in cold to visit with unmasked resident does not make sense to me, either? To take them out in public does not make sense either, since the public deserves better than that. The situation is overall very sad. A memory loss patient is very vulnerable, but usually will not remember the visit always, why risk the rest of your family, or others? Covid will never disappear from the facility as long as residents are leaving the facility and going to homes possibly bringing it back from carriers. Let's not blame staff for the outbreaks always, please. It works two ways. This is a very difficult situation!

I can't express enough how pleased I am with the Love & Care my Mom is receiving at Arbor Oaks Terrace(AOT). We moved Mom from a less than desirable facility(and that's putting it nicely!) to AOT 1 week before COVID-19 closures were put in place....her being in a new place, and us not able to be hands on & visit during that transition time, over the following year was heart wrenching to say the least...But ultimately I do appreciate the fact that AOT went above and beyond to maintain a safe environment and stay COVID-Free & they have remained that way to this day! They were sincerely happy to accommodate us with Window Visits & Skype Visits, as often as we would like...we witnessed even then, the love & care Mom was receiving from the AOT Team! ...so that was wonderful & proved to be very memorable; as we visited we could tell Mom was very happy & content... We shared laughs, virtual hugs, sang & blew kisses to one another. Connecting with AOT through their Facebook page has also been so fulfilling, as they are always sharing pictures of the Residents enjoying unending Events, Celebrations & Activities....and I can't say enough about their SPARKS program, allowing each resident to have a part & purpose in the AOT Community....from helping with Laundry, setting the tables for meals, to gardening! It was such a blessing to see my Mom in her element, planting flowers! And now, after almost a year....I can be there with her, in -person to love on her and watch her thrive to the best of her ability. It is wonderful to be there with the Staff and Caregivers, learn their names & be known by them in return....and best of all, they welcome and encourage our visits, while still adhering to COVID regulations..... no appointment necessary....they have nothing to hide; just come & be a part of the AOT Family. Thank you Katrina-Executive Director Extraordinaire, for your sheer excellence in overseeing this facility and for always being at our beckon call!! I would highly recommend Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Care Residence, for anyone's Loved One....and for their Peace of Mind. God Bless!

My husband has been at Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Center in Newberg since mid-May 2020 after complications due to COVID-19 escalated his vascular dementia from low level to maximum. He was also admitted under hospice care. The care he has received at OAT has been more than I could ever imagine. The staff is so caring. I have not been able to visit him (plus he doesn’t recognize pictures of me), but staff sends pictures and videos of him to me. I know he is receiving much better care than I ever could give him at home. I’m so thankful for everyone who takes care of him.

This has been a wonderful, positive experience for my husband with Alzheimer’s. The staff thinks of residents as family and this has been Ed’s new family. During Covid19 pandemic the safety of residents and staff has been of upmost importance.

Terrible care! 3 years after removing my mother from this facility she is more active and healthy. She is having conversations on her good days. We know more now that she was being given too many medications to keep her in a Cautonic state. This facility has also violated HIPPA. There has only been 2 constant people at this facility in the last 5 years which should be a red flag. The current director was extremely rude to us and literally "kicked" my mother out. Grateful now because we can see what they were doing to her. After leaving this facility, her new home saw that she was being "overdosed". Dementia patients have good days and bad days. My mother has gained weight and is very happy now. Other acquaintances were not so lucky. One friends grandmother died after neglect of a broken limb. Another couldn't afford to move her mother and watched her waste away. Very sad! I'm grateful that we were able to move mom. Happy healthy and living the best she can with what God has given her. Just be aware before placing someone you really love in this facility you are their advocate because they can't be their own.

My dear Mother lived the last seven months of her life at Arbor Oaks Terrace. She had experienced two strokes and was also dealing with dementia. She was always well taken care of and spoiled with the great care. My father was able to come visit with her daily, and the ladies serving lunch always made sure he was fed as well. Our family will always be grateful for the fine care and overwhelming love that she received from their wonderful staff. It makes me tear up just to think of it. We do not think she could have received better care elsewhere. Thank you so much for what you did for Mom!
