I can only say, "Wow!" Upon walking into the Bonaventure of Medford one is embraced by a warm and welcome environment that feels like home! Immediately one notices tall ceilings, exceptional design & layout with residents and staff interacting and moving about. Not a single detail in the facility's design is left to chance. As wonderful as the building is the true experience is found in the staff at Bonaventure of Medford. Every staff member from reception, care givers, housekeeping and maintenance are at the ready to assist with a smile and positivity. I can only imagine that Bonaventure of Medford invests substantial effort in hiring and training their employees to provide such a service to their residents. I quickly realized that Debbie Wilson, the Executive Director, sets an exceptional standard for all to follow with her positive example and leadership. Debbie is fully engaged with residents and staff attending to every detail. Bonaventure of Medford is a must see for senior living for independent living, assisted living and memory care.

We moved Dad from another facility over to Memory Care at Bonaventure a month ago. Prior to the move-in, family members joined ne a few times so they could check it out & both see & feel the difference between this & the prior facility. Not all our visits were announced. Everyone in our family was impressed with everything. We noticed right away the MC unit didn't stink, as some do. We all felt the warmth and care Ilene, Lala and the staff showed the residents. The MedTechs & Caretakers are all amazing. They show great patience & understanding in dealing with those suffering with Alzheimer's/Dementia. We were happy Dad didn't have an extreme set-back w/his move. He is actually spending time out of his room & interacting with others. Music is big, which Dad enjoys. Some staff make a point of dancing with him if he is listening to music in his room, & he gets a total kick out of that. They are quick to learn his likes/dislikes, which is helpful. Mealtimes aren't dreaded anymore-he is picky but seems to like most of it. My son accompanied him to dinner (not to eat, but to be w/him); my so was unexpectedly asked if he would like (unexpectedly, as it is not the norm to eat unless prearranged) to actually eat the same food - he came home raving about how much better it was than the previous place! And Dad gets his food faster-no 45 minute waits as he watches others getting served. We were really happy to hear that as Dad was previously losing weight. They make sure he gets 3 Ensures a day, which Dad loves. Communication is great - everyone is willing and able to ask or answer questions, & will call me if there is an issue that needs to be addressed. Jennifer, Debbie and Liza have always been helpful, engaging, & patient with me in arranging Dad's move. No matter how many times I bug them w/ worries & questions, they remain friendly & patient. And they remember our names!! They invited me to a talk for family members on remembering Selfcare - it was an eye-opener for me & my family. Again, we can't say enough about the entire staff, including the house keepers (never a frown). We are happy and relieved to have found him quality care and surroundings!

Moved my brother here in November 2022, found a nice apartment for he and his wife. Staff here has been excellent. Food is good, facilities very good. Beautiful place. We appreciate the care they are getting.
October 2022
I am so thankful for all of the loving care, and kind attention the staff of Bonaventure gave to my Father. Making this transition wasn't easy for my family, and Dad and I both felt very supported by everyone throughout our experiences there. Lovely facility, kind staff, and many fun residents that we were able to spend time with while he was there.
February 2022
The property is beautiful. We love Jen B, Meg, Trisha and LaLa. They are awesome and the care and attention to the residents was outstanding. My Mom loved it there. She lived there 2 years Mom lived in an independent living apartment, for 2 years then moved to assisted living. the staff in assisted living were ok, some of the evening crew were a bit not too nice. She was in AL for a little over 4 months and then moved to Memory Care. Trisha The Executive Director for most of my mom's time ther was awesome in helping us with moms care and her moves to the different areas in the facilities. I miss her. The residents are promised a lot when signing a lease and for the first year service was exceptional. But then staff shortages meant the rooms not cleaned every week, reduced bus days/time for residents use. Constant employee turnover. The food has really gone downhill from being mediocre to just yucky over two years. My mom's last few weeks before she passed she needed a puree diet. She loved apple juice. They did not have any apple juice anymore, no apple sauce, no favored yogurt for her to be able to eat, so I bought these things for her to be able to eat. She was dying and I felt that there wasn't that good of care for her in her final days. The new management did not even have the curtesy to call me after my mom's death, Hospice notified me but nothing from Bonaventure. They sent flowers days later only because I stated my review would state how callous I thought the new management that took over was. One last item, Bonaventure has not let their pharmacy know my mother passed away on July 12, they just sent her August medications to them and Bonaventure has an open order for my mother's September medications. I know this because I called the pharmacy and wondered whey they were sending medication for August and charging me. Really???? I do not want a response from Bonaventure as it would be all BS, It would be insincere. Just words to make themselves look like they care. It's all about the money.

In September 2021, I rescued my father from a hoarding situation. He almost died and was in the hospital for two weeks. In a mad scramble to find him an apartment in an assistant living place, I was referred to Bonaventure. Because we had no furniture at move in, they allowed my dad to stay in one of their 'example' rooms for the first few days. They took into consideration his ability to walk long distances when determining which room he's be in long term. My father wasn't the easiest person to take care of, but they managed to keep him safe, healthy, and at peace for the 11+ months he lived there. Unfortunately, the pandemic has changed the world, and it's been hard to find staff. Despite this, it's a nice place with good people. I knew my dad was taken care of during his chemotherapy and what more could a daughter ask?

I want to thank Executive Director Cynthia Morris for her leadership through this year of COVID. Your attention to detail has kept the residents and staff safe. Thank you for all you do.
October 2020
Bonaventure is a place I used to drive by watching this brand new building going up. I watched this building being built while flying into Medford from the Midwest. I always thought that the color scheme was the best and after moving to the area, I found that working with the Team of Executive Director, Assisted Living Director, Marketing Director, Maintenance Director, Food Service and Health Services I and I saw the compassion, and the resolve to keep the residents safe in the COVID epidemic world we now live in in. Times are hard everywhere but be secured that this is the best place to be, and you can't beat having activities, eating 3 meals a day, having your own apartment to relax and sleep in, and having a chair on your deck by your sliding door to watch the activities of the new building project across from the building. Also, there is bowling alley, hair and barber salon, movie nights, and a piano in the reception area. Come See what the wonderful team at Bonaventure of Medford can do for you and your loved one. I am glad that I did.

An exceptionally beautiful building located in Medford Oregon. This past year I have had the pleasure to get to know Cat director for ALF. Cat is a wonderful hard working person who is constantly looking out for the needs of her residents and staff. Because of Cat and her hardworking staff including Med Tech Carly the needs of residents care is always met. Walking in the building the morale is lively and welcoming.

My Mom has been there the last 6 mos. Kat and Jennifer have been awesome! They are my go to people and have been so kind and dedicated to helping my Mom. I love this place and will keep my Mom there as long as I'm able to.
December 2019
My mom has lived at the Boneventure since it opened - first independent living & now assisted living. It was a difficult decision to move her there but the staff at Boneventure was amazing during the transition. Cat who is the director of assisted living is truly an angel— and takes so much time/patience & love when helping residents & families with all of their needs. I also have to give a shoutout to Jennifer/Paula/Kathleen & all of the wonderful & loving caregivers—They are so great at keeping me posted on how my mother is doing when I can't be there.
