This facility has been apart of my life for 26 years…..my mother worked here for 20 years and I followed in her foot steps when she retired. Being an employee here is a truly a life changing experience . The residents, and staff are always so great to be around. I love being a part of the GRRR family. I can’t imagine being anywhere else.

This was the best place ever to work. I started as a caregiver, became a med aid and worked my way into the Activities position. I worked with the most loving staff and the residents became our family. I left a little piece of my heart behind at the great GRRR community to move to Florida and I miss it to this day ❤️ Truly one of the best communities to work for in La Grande

Amazing place! Amazing staff. Our grandmother was here for a long time and she was always so happy. They took such great care of her. The food was always fresh and good. They always have fun activities for them to participate in and get involved with. The staff is always professional and its always clean. Plus my little loves going to visit for the popcorn and ice cream:)

Mom was 100 when she moved into the GRRR and there were concerns someone that old could adapt to a facility. Staff and Mom made it work and she is now over 101. When I left for a week I felt such gratitude to those caregivers that work there. I knew she would be cared for and that they would get hold of me if needed. There are mistakes and misses but the caring is always there. We think the meals are very good for a large group setting. Mom thinks some folks there just need to gripe. I hope they can find more ways to retain some of the great staff.

My mom has been a resident of GRR independent living for almost 9 months. I have visited often at various times and days and always find all the staff friendly, helpful and caring. Meals are good and served in a timely manner. The atmosphere is pleasant; residents and staff seem happy.

We had a private luncheon for our Mother, Marie Lester,. The meal was delicious. The staff was so helpful and went out of their way to provide every need. They even provided balloons! It was an outstanding experience.

Beautiful facility the staff are amazing friendly. Everything about the place from the food to the cleanliness is top notch. They go above and beyond to make people who live there to the people who come to visit feel welcome. Keeping their people involved with the community is also a priority to get them out to activities they plan. I would recommend this facility.

Amazing facility, the management team treated staff and the residents with kindness and respect. You couldnt ask for more when looking for a place for a loved one, I would recommend Grande Ronde Retirement. Our new ED Melody and Rn Sheri and the rest of management team are fabulous and that is another reason why Im still working here. Thank you for all you do and we appreciate you all!!!

I came from Virginia to my hometown of La Grande to help my mother move into assisted living after a bout of pneumonia. I do not often leave five star reviews but Grande Ronde Retirement Residence earns all five. Everyone here is compassionate and kind, yet professional and capable. I stayed with my mother here for more than a week. The food was good. The sense of community is real. The staff helped my mother and me through a very difficult time. I cannot thank all of you enough for all you do. I appreciate you!

We moved my mom into GRR this fall. She has been so lonely since my dad died last year. My sister and I both work full time and we couldnt see her every day. She absolutely loves living there and it is wonderful to see her so happy! She has made lots of friends, loves her apartment and all of the activities at GRR. And we dont have to constantly worry about her anymore! GRR is perfect for her!!

My grandmother currently resides at Grande Ronde Retirement. The staff is always friendly and prompt at all request. If we have concerns the staff are always directed in positive ways by the RN and RCC. I am grateful for them all!!

Amazing facility, the floor staff and management have already treated myself and my family with kindness and respect. You couldnt ask for more when looking for a place for a loved one. I worked here for 3 years until I got pregnant and lifting became difficult. . I have worked at other care facilities in the community, and this one is definitely my favorite. I. would recommend it or feel comfortable placing my .own family in it. My .husband still works there and we take our baby daughter to visit as well. The staff and residents are a tightknit community that feels like family. I think an appropriate motto for the type of care provided would be work hard, play hard.

I have really enjoyed watching the staff interact and care for the residents. We visit some residents who are part of our church and every time we are there we see the genuine care that the staff has for the residents. Its extremely refreshing to see the kind and attentive interaction that takes place here. I highly recommend it!

I love this place! I work at a local hospice company and I always look forward to coming to visit patients here. Its such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Plus, I always grab myself some of their homemade ice cream when I come 🙂
