My mom is treated like family here. And actually so am I, every time I visit, every staff person greets me warmly by name. Running an Assisted Living facility can’t be very easy, not to mention hard on the heart, and while things aren’t always perfect, overall this place is absolutely top-notch. I’m a local social worker and a lifelong Gresham resident. I’ve had my ears open for many years about the pros and cons of different senior living centers, because I knew my parents’ day would come. I chose Courtyard Contains on purpose and have not regretted that decision the past 2 years. A local Home Health nurse who helped mom recently said she was AMAZED by how clean, non-stinky, and attractive the whole place was, and that she couldn’t believe when mom pressed her pendant and has a caregiver in her room in 96 seconds. She said there are places around here the residents wait 30, 45, 60 minutes waiting, sometimes in their own filth because what they needed was help to the bathroom. On average my mom waits maybe 2-3 minutes. 5 occasionally and 15+ almost never (and only around meal times when they’re scrambling). TWO caregivers came by on their day off to check on my mom when there were some new staff in training, and one sends her daily texts with uplifting memes and pics. When she gets teary, they kneel at her feet and hold her hand til she calms. The dining halls got a new chef out something recently, the food is fantastic, the menu explosive, a nice-restaurant level, not cafeteria slop. I’ll spare you the horror stories I’ve heard/collected about OTHER comparable facilities in town. Just bring your dear one here. They’ll be loved and tended to better than anywhere else.

I want to start with the positives. There are quite a few staff here that really do try to go above and beyond for the residents as well as the families. Also, the grounds, facilities, apartments, and dining room are ali gorgeous and well maintained. However, that only goes so far.. Our problems started pretty much the moment we signed on the dotted line and two words can best describe our experience; Unmanaged Expectations. We were promised the world and told we had absolutely nothing to worry about when it came to the safety and well being of my father, but then treated with a resounding attitude of "That's not my job". He was left alone to fend for himself, allowed leave the facilities unattended even when we explained that his mobility and mental state was compromised. We had to get him out of there as quickly as possible, and so we terminated his lease agreement. Of course there were fees associated with this, which some felt justifiable, but some of it felt as if they were padding the bill. Then came the recurring charges. Less than a few weeks later, an unknown charge appeared in his bank account for thousands of dollars. We had terminated his contract, and we paid the fees, but we found out that they had not in fact terminated his contract. Thankfully we got that resolved even though I personally never once recieved a return call from the billing department. Now, we have recieved a "past due" bill for thousands more. I have personally tried to reach someone in billing multiple times, but I have yet to hear anything back. So where does it end? To all future residents and their family, do your research. Ask any and all questions, and make sure you get an exact, black and white, crystal clear understanding of what you are signing. What to expect. Leave no doubt in your mind as to exactly how your loved one will be cared for each day, and to the best of your ability, make sure your loved ones understand too. Lastly, be vigilant of finances. It's far too easy to overlook charges and sometimes people's money can be taken for granted, lost in the paperwork, or worse, easily manipulated.

The director, Jessica, is down to earth and reachable, no matter what the situation. I love how communicative and transparent staff is when there are issues or concerns. They always do their best. Cannot say enough about how great our experience of Courtyard Fountains has been. Beginning with Sherie Storr, every staff member ranging from reception to the dining hall, maintenance, and housecleaning, is professional, personable, and ensures every resident and their family's experience is positive. The well maintained independent apartments are quiet and provide residents the comfort of their own space while including so many amenities that support great quality of life. Again, we so enjoy the services and community provided by staff, and of course, all of the wonderful residents our dad has grown to call dear friends.

We have 2 moms residing at Courtyard Fountains. One in Independent Living and one in Assisted Living. They've each received excellent care, friendly, timely and consistent staff all of whom are always positive, most helpful and accommodating. They enjoy the numerous activities offered and special occasion brunches and dinners prepared with great care. They both express how happy they are and when they're happy, we're happy! The support staff are equally excellent and the communication great. We feel it's one of the best facilities we've visited and the only one that checked all our boxes. Recommend them highly!

I come in as a vendor and have always noticed how lively the place is so when I mentioned that to the lady at the front desk, she asked for an honest review so here it is. Every time I have been in there is something going on, the other day it was a country singer. Not even my style of music but it was fun to see the people having a good time. I go in and out of similar facilities every week and they all seem kinda lame compared to Courtyard. I look forward to the stops I do there because the staff are accommodating and have good energy. As an outside that kind of just drops in at random times I feel like nothing is for show and that this place is genuinely nice. If my mom ends up moving up from Cali I would definitely consider placing here at Courtyard. Oh, and check their bistro out, the prices are good! I got an Italian soda there and a protein (cheese and meat) box for cheap cheap.

from what heard about courtyard fountain that maintenance guy name [name removed] is spreading rumors about employee saying that not doing their job and videotaping them out them knowing about it, and [name removed] who [name removed] boss knows about the videotaping of employees, [name removed] who director and [name removed] who the HR there knows about all of this. There they say don't spread rumors about employees or resident but [name removed] and [name removed] are allowing them to spreading rumors, I wouldn't advise anyone to send loved ones to live there or to work there. The way treats them this worst place, I give thumb down.

We relocated my mother to Courtyard Fountains nearly a year ago. The staff exceeded our expectations in assisting with this significant life transition. She has adjusted well, and the community she has discovered has greatly enhanced her quality of life. On days when she is unable to join her friends for dinner, the staff kindly deliver a meal to her room with a courteous smile and attentive care. If you are considering a transition for your loved one, Courtyard Fountains is certainly a place worth considering.

The nurse [name removed] sits in her office all shift and never checks on the residents. She tries to sell her cheap jewelry while on shift. On the clock selling her cheap jewelry in her office. Rc [name removed] hinds in her office pretending to do work. She will cover for her sister [name removed] and cover up her med mistakes. Med tech [name removed] and [name removed] are rude and disrespectful. If [name removed] doesn't get her way she acts like a brat. [name removed] and [name removed] make med mistakes and blame other people for it.

The Courtyard Fountains building is like a gift box. It can be a beautiful container, but what is inside is what is important. The smiles and greetings from the RESIDENTS, EMPLOYEES, and MANAGEMENT are the most rewarding things I have recieved in the 14 1/2 years of living here. All the activities are an added bonus. I look at it as the place to make new friends, memories, and become part of a new enlarged family ( residents and employees ) . I also love the fun and laughter that goes with the lifestyle here. I am saddened to inform you that Courtyard Fountains will steal your money if you allow them access to your loved ones bank account. They withdrew two months rent from my mother's account AFTER she had moved out. They replaced one month. They will not replace the other. My phone calls have gone unanswered. It is frightening to think that a facility we trust with our loved ones would steal from them. I recommend that you stay away from this place.

We were very pleased with our tour(s). On our first tour we concentrated on seeing the apartments. Anne was so pleasant and spent the time we needed to get many questions answered. We never felt rushed or that we were taking too long. On our 2 Nd tour we spent time looking at the amenities and discussing the dining options. Again Anne took the time with us that we needed. I again asked lots of questions and Anne either had the answers or know who to ask to get the answers. We feel like the Courtyard Fountains will be a great place to live.

When I came to visit the first time, I found a most cordial reception from Anne Whitlock, with Community Relations and she introduced me to Ryan Bethke, Sales Director. I was immediately and still am most impressed with the professional joyfulness and willingness to make Courtyard Fountains fit their residents' needs. And this does not end after you have moved into your apartment. The promptly scheduled appointment that morning, included a tour that allowed me to walk comfortably with my walker. I was immediately able to visit residents' apartments who had previously offered to allow this wonderful opportunity for interested couples, widows and widowers, singles who were both handicapped and walking without concern. I was so pleased to be able to move into a lovely apartment in approximately a month. There are fantastic opportunities for activities and a beautiful restaurant-style dining area with exquisite meals. I have wonderful expectations of continued growth and wonderful experiences during my retirement years here with a most professional staff! Oh! and most important are the kind, caring and friendly residents too. When staff members or residents mention that they have been here for 7-8 years -- it is quite easy to understand why and you know you have found the right place. Thank you Courtyard Fountains Retirement Residence. I Love It Here!

I have visited many similar facilities in the area and have never been as impressed as I am with Courtyard Fountains. We have friends living here and everyone including guest feels welcome, engaged, valued, and safe. My wife and I have dined there on several occasions and have the food to be on the same level as any high end restaurant. The staff is always available and very helpful. I am excited about all Courtyard Fountains offers to help keep us busy and engaged. There is so much going on there that I could never mention it all so visit them to see for yourself. All the staff are great but one lovely young lady really stands out. Ann, will show you around and never pressures you at any corner. Go visit them, tell Ann that Steve Butler sent you. Who knows I might get a discount. A note about some of the other places around our area. I asked one resident if she liked living at (I won’t say the name) and she said yea, if you like sitting around looking out the window counting cars. Also I found other friends at the same unnamed place stocking their own kitchen because the meals were just to nursing home. Not a problem at Courtyard Fountains. I am on the waiting list.

I am a resident who has been here 7 months so far and find this place absolutely wonderful!!! The staff go over and above to do anything and everything they can to make this my home!!! They are great!!! There are wonderful community areas both big for socializing and cozy for a few close conversations with friends.. and the food is great with a lot of variety. And the gym is well equipped and the library has at least "a million" books to read anytime. There are all kinds of activities and outings but if you want to just be independent and out and about doing things on your own it is in a great location for someone with a car or using the bus system. I can't say enough good things about living here!!!

Our parents were some of the first residents at The Courtyard Fountains and lived there for 14 years. They investigated and visited several communities before making the decision to move there after downsizing from a large four bedroom home to a roomy two bedroom condo. This was one was of the kindest and most thoughtful gifts they gave us, as we knew they were living in safe, wonderfully kept, and well managed community, where help was always available and they were proud to invite family or friends over eat (health and good food in a lovely surrounding). Their apartment was comfortable and homey, the staff was always friendly, warm and caring, and Mary, a key manager, has a rare combination of compassion and managerial skills in working with the staff and residents. As our parents aged we felt a great sense of peace knowing they were in a safe community, which they enjoyed and provided transportation for stores and doctors, opportunities for outings, daily activities along with frequent special social events and new friends, who became treasured old friends. Yes, like any place there were changes through the years, which were some times difficult for them to accept, as will be the case in any similar community. In each case, Mary and her staff try to make the transition as easy as possible, and in each case everything worked out. The Courtyard Fountains continues to be an excellent home and community and I strongly recommend you check it out before making one of the most important decisions in your life.
