Going on a year of living here now. The other residents have all been friendly and very nice. Staff's doors are always open to stop by and have a chat with; they take good care of you. Apartments are a nice size and provide a good feeling. Community living provides more advantages over living solo. It's easy here, you don't have to worry about cooking, keeping up a home, yard work or even drive. The transportation is very handy. There is something here for everybody to do. Having the companionship has been great. It's a nice place for anyone.

After living at The Springs for 6 years, I left because of Covid restrictions. I spent the next two years in senior living places and realized how far superior The Springs was. At The Springs, the residents are social and active. They have great food and spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated common areas. The activities are planned and directed by a very talented and caring staff; many fun events! I love living here at The Springs at Tanasbourne and highly recommend it. Sallie K

From the first time I walked in back in March to leaving my parents there to make the almost 3,000 mile trip back home, there's no doubt in my mind that they're going to be okay at The Springs at Tanasbourne. One of the first things I noticed then and now, is that I have never seen someplace so clean! No dust, the floor - spotless, and the employee sweeping up as soon as they could after the resident moved. The food choices are amazing, I've eaten there, and even my parents are loving everything they've had and there are so many options. Everyone that I have encountered there has been amazing. The residents sharing their unsolicited reviews of how much they loved living there couldn't have been planned, and the employees smiles and patience that I saw, not only with getting to know my parents but also their interactions with other residents puts my mind at ease knowing that my parents will be safe and well cared for with the compassion that all of our elders deserve. Then there's Carol who has gone above and beyond. She kept in touch even after my parents had told her they decided on another option and when we reached out to her months later saying that The Springs was where they would be better off, Carol was there and more than willing to help. She helped with resources for them and taking time to get to know them, but also helping me get through my "moments" processing it all. If you're not sure, or even if you think it's a little pricey, check The Springs out. You get what you pay for and the peace of mind is worth every last dollar. I know it is for me.

This is my 9th year at the Springs of Tanasbourne. Having come here after 27 years in Tampa , Florida I decided I would make the best of this transition… Having left a large townhouse behind I moved into a studio apartment here in Pacific Ridge measuring about 560 square feet. New furniture was purchased via IKEA and put together by my daughter and son-in-law to whom I am forever indebted for their love and care. Also friends of theirs decorated, hung pictures and made my cozy space home for me. The studio feels spacious and is the perfect size for me! Making friends came easily especially with the help of Jillian from the marketing team and from Judy Ingalls who had moved in the year before. All the residents are so friendly and welcoming. I got involved with the Volunteer Committee, then after 2 years moving on to the Presidency of Pacific Ridge , I got my feet wet in a hurry! I joined the book club and have also gotten into exercise class and golf with putting on the 9 hole course. Trivia is ever popular on Sunday afternoon. Shall I say we have a number of brainiacs in that group! It is great fun and a real challenge. There are lots of card games for joining and of course, the ever popular Bingo on Thursdays and Saturdays. Church transportation is provided on Sundays which a number of us find very helpful.

I can't say enough about The Springs! I come here almost daily to visit a friend who lives here, and it's always such a pleasant experience. From the moment you walk in, there is an air of friendliness and modern comfort. They have many fun activities and group outings. It seems like there's always a wide variety of fun activities. If you take a walk through The Springs, you'll find more than you might expect! There's a beautiful, full-service restaurant, a "neighborhood pub", a movie theater (yes, it has an actual theater!), a pool, a gym, a full service salon, and more. It's kind of like living in a hotel! Honestly, this is a really special place. The apartments are impecibally maintained, and if any maintenance need arises, they are right there to help. The entire staff go out of their way to ensure the highest level of service is performed. Truly! The Springs is a really special place. I'm grateful for all they do!

We have lived at the Springs for 8 months in our lovely 2 bedroom apartment. We couldn't be happier with the friendly and caring staff and wonderful amenities. Living in such a vibrant independent living community provides opportunities that we never could have imagined. Perfect location, too!

We are five year residents of The Springs at Tanasbourne, comfortably living in an independent living, two bedroom apartment. We can't say enough positive comments about our life here, but one that stands out is the quality of the caring staff. Everyone is so positive, friendly and helpful to the residents. There are so many activities scheduled each week it keeps us as busy as we would like to be. The accommodations, the food, the staff and the facility are first class. It's so convenient to have a salon, gym, heated pool, physical therapy, transportation and massage available in the same building. Great value for the money and close to local shopping. We should have moved here sooner.

My mother in law has been at the Springs for about 3 months now. She was not sure it was for her to start. It took no time for her to change her mind. She told me yesterday that it was wonderful. She has made friends, joins in with activities, and stays in her apartment when she is ready. She says everyone working there is so friendly and always ready to help. Having her tell me the room was perfect makes is so much easier for us to have her there. My wife and I have interacted with the staff. They all seem to really care. One staff member told me everyone who works there loves it. He said it was the best place he has every worked. Raymond Mott

Our mother's experience at The Springs spanned almost 4 years. She loved dining with friends, the weekly golf activity in the summers, concerts, pool exercise classes, on-site salon, and the delightful people she met who both live and work at The Springs at Tanasbourne. Mom's dog was always with her and they are a pet friendly community – that was important for mom and us. Her apartment had a wonderful view of the park and she spent many afternoons enjoying the sunshine on her deck watching people playing tennis and enjoying the park. Mom lived at The Springs during Covid and our primary concern was that she was safe. During her years at The Springs at Tanasbourne we had peace of mind because we knew she was happy and cared for. Ultimately winters in Oregon were hard on her and she missed the sunshine of California and has now relocated. She is still missed by those who grew to love her. Thank you!

I was a server at The Springs for over a year and I have good things to say about this place. Just like any other job, there’s things that can definitely be improved, there will be good days and bad ones. I’ve seen negative reviews from past servers on here and will say that this job requieres patience, hard work and dedication. If you’re someone who doesn’t have what is required, this job won’t be a good fit. It truly takes management a lot in order to let someone go, so if they do, there’s a good chance it was long overdue. Bianca the Assisted living dining room manager always makes sure residents are being treated right with the best service possible as well as the server Liliana (great coworker!). Megan the manager is great at what she does, does her best to be fair with everyone and make sure everyone gets treated the same. Go to work, keep it profesional, be respectful and you’ll do great. Overtime you will build unforgettable relationships with the residents.

I am disgusted with management at this location. I am the husband of Dorothy Bright. My wife is in Memory Care here and I am complaining about the lack of information being provided to me about the location of my wife and any diagnostic information of here condition. I would expect to be informed of her condition and location within the unit. No one called me or updated me on these matters. I had to seek that information on my own initiative. After all, I expect I'm the one that will be billed for services provided to Dorothy. I did pursue staff to get this information. Right now, I'm disgusted with the operation here. My wife and I knew we were ready to leave our home and so we started our search for the next phase of our life. We visited seven retirement communities and most of them offered many of the things we were looking for. The decision to live at The Springs was based on 2 important reasons. Before we moved in we were invited for several different events and had several meals which were very good, but more importantly we were welcomed so warmly by the residents and they expressed how happy they were here. The other reason was the wonderful staff from the front office to the servers in the dining rooms. The staff takes such good care of us and works very hard to provide us with fun activities. We have made many friends here and we love out new home.

As my life with my wife ended, I did not know what would really be next for me. My sons said I should move. I had chosen the Springs at Tanasbourne because I was told by others is was one of the best places to be. Immediately after moving here I found out why. I woke up the first morning and felt like I was at home. I observed the staff as being warm, caring, friendly and positive to everyone. I also found many residents here to be good natured and friendly. There were many programs to choose from. I immediately found two book clubs, the choir, and an exercise class that fit my needs. I have developed many friendships with other residents as well as staff. The Springs is in the middle of everything I want to do as well as being convenient for my family to come and go.

We kept stating that we were not ready for apartment living; at the same time realizing that we were becoming weary of the responsibilities of home ownership. Several of our friends had moved to The Springs at Tanasbourne and we were attracted to the location, among other things, as we had lived within three miles for almost fifty years and were very familiar with the surrounding area and all its amenities such as shopping, dining, entertainment, medical, banking, freeway access. When we decided to make the move, we found the most difficult part was disposing of over sixty years of accumulated stuff, a lament weve heard many times. But it can be done, and its cathartic! We have a lovely 2-bedroom, 2-.bath apartment in the Independent Living section of the community. Life is good What is life like at The Springs at Tanasbourne during a pandemic? We could not be in a better place! We feel very well cared for and very safe. Management has a system of protocols in place which are within the State and Federal guidelines but are also keeping our physical, mental, and emotional well-being as their highest priority always. We are delighted that we decided to move to The Springs at Tanasbourne and highly recommend it. Wendell and Jan Styner

Upon retirement, we sold our home in Wisconsin and moved here along with our 95 year old mother, mother in law. The Springs has been great for all of us, across our broad interests and needs. We were encouraged and assisted in personalizing our apartments to help us feel at home. One or more of us make regular use of the pool, the exercise classes, the well equipped exercise equipment room, movie theater, and dining rooms and pub. The kitchen prepares excellent comfort food and fabulous dishes you might expect at a fine restaurant. There is a resident-led book club with stimulating discussions every month. There is even a chorus with a wonderful director, who has us singing 4 part harmony. The best part of being here, though, is belonging to a community of kind and caring people; staff and residents alike.

My parents moved to the Springs at Tanasbourne 5 years ago. They went through a total life change, including a move from New Hampshire to Oregon. My parents and I visited, ate, and stayed at a number of independent living facilities in Portland before choosing the Springs. My father has since passed away. My mother has made many friends, and has nothing but good things to say about her life. Her apartment is lovely, and the building and grounds are always clean and well-maintained. All the staff are friendly, helpful, and attentive. The food is delicious with many menu choices. The holiday buffets are amazing. My mother is always busy, there are fun outings every week, and its often hard for me to reach her because she is never in her apartment. I consider that a good thing. I live in Corvallis, so Im not around or can easily arrive at the Springs. I feel good knowing that my mother is safe there. The Springs at Tanasbourne is a wonderful place to live.

The staff have been not only friendly, but incredibly helpful as well, providing great care and assistance through the last two years. I feel like I can always call and get questions, comments or concerns met by someone whos happy to help and usually knows my exactly who my mother is. The other residents have also be very welcoming and friendly to both my mother and myself.

It never ceases to amaze me how much The Springs at Tanasbourne does for us. The most wonderful perk of all is they take us to our doctors appointments, and they are so efficient. I dont know how they do it! I only waited five minutes for a pick up.

After searching many independent living facilities in the area we chose the Springs two years ago and have never regretted a single minute we have lived here. The staff is amazingly helpful and friendly. There are so many activities to choose from there is never a dull minute, but if you do want a little lazy time you can always find friends at the pub or quiet time at the pool. The facility is wonderful, you feel more like you are on a cruise ship than in an apartment building. If you really wonder how great a place is, count the smiles on the people who live there. The residents here are fun, interesting and do a lot of smiling. I give this place my highest recommendation.

We relocated my mom to The Springs from out of state seven months ago and it has been an amazing experience for both of us. It is an easy environment to make a new community of friends in, and the staff is amazing. She leads a full and rich life by going on excursions, taking daily exercise classes, and other enrichment classes. Her apartment layout is beautiful and she loves the independence. I love that staff is responsive to her needs and helps her with little things such as installing a new printer when I am not available. The Springs was a wonderful decision for our family.

Mom moved into The Springs in Sept. 2015. She moved cross-country so the stress level was high, and we were all feeling overwhelmed. The folks at The Springs brought us calm and peace as they were very responsive to our needs and questions. They made every effort to make sure Mom was safe, sound and happy. The Springs continues to impress with their almost weekly fun special events - beyond the more routine weekly fun items to choose from. These special, very-imaginative activities include things such as a Camp Out party with games and decor AND a Trip Around the World with stops at several countries - where the entire experience always exceeds expectations! They make living fun-filled and upbeat. I cannot express how lovely the place and people are....no, its not cheap, but this is a case of you get what you pay for. Mom is happier than Ive seen her in years since her life has been enriched by new friends, things to do (on location or mini trips away), great food, and attentive, respectful and friendly staff. Highly recommended!
