My mother has enjoyed living at Brookdale. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. They truly care about the well being of all their residents. When I visit, I have always felt very welcomed. Any concerns I’ve had are addressed immediately and efficiently. I appreciate the kitchen staff and their willingness to cater to the needs of each resident. Brookdale Grand Prairie is a warm, welcoming place where you immediately feel like family. The current director has done an amazing job modernizing the community, and individual apartments, while keeping the unique charm that Grand Prairie radiates. The staff are always ready to assist any of the independent residents with whatever they need. Resident meetings are held once a month to discuss community news with the staff and share feedback. Our organization, the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Association, held a meeting at the Brookdale Grand Prairie and it was a great experience. The staff was extremely professional and helpful. We felt welcomed and cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. The facility is warm and inviting and the residents that we interfaced with were friendly. It was a good experience!

I have been a resident at Brookdale Grand Prairie for nearly three years and am very happy here. I have a 2-bedroom cottage that is spacious and homey. I also have a laundry room with washer/dryer which is most convenient. I can't say enough positive things about the staff. They care for us like family and serve our needs beautifully. We have meals in the dining room and the food is excellent. We have an opportunity to provide input on the menu and are given many choices. The grounds are near a park and nature trail with views of wildlife. There are many activities planned for residents both within the facility and without. I've made many good friends here and consider this my home now and in the future.

My husband and I moved to Brookdale Grand Prairie almost a year ago and have been extremely happy living here. Although this will be the shortest time we have lived in one place everything has been perfect. We will be leaving at the end of March to be closer to my sisters in North Carolina which they have been trying to get me to do for years - now is the right time. The facilities here are clean and well kept and decorated with seasonal decor. We can't say enough about how well we've been treated by all the staff from the executive director all the way down to the maintenance men. It's a community that cares for each resident and has a family atmosphere. The dining room staff are exceptionally friendly and address all residents by their first name. We have enjoyed the "themed" dinners and all the extra parties that happen during the year. There are plenty of activities if you want to keep busy. We've made some really good friends with residents who live here and will miss them very much. We would definitely recommend Brookdale Grand Prairie when you get to the point of really retiring with no housework, no house maintenance, no yard work and no cooking. It has been a VERY pleasant experience

The employees are very friendly and helpful to the residents and to the people visiting. Have kept everyone in touch with whats going on no matter what the case. Was so helpful when my dad passed. They are the best people at Brookdale and glad my folks chose this place for their retirement.

Brookdale in Albany is the BEST. My parents left the farm after 70 years and of course it was a very big transition for them. The staff at Brookdale were so helpful and considerate during this very sensitive time. They cheered them on, my parents transitioned well, and the Brookdale crew are now like family for us. The sense of making you feel like family and how much you belong there. Making you smile is easy for staff to accomplish. The dinner this evening was 50 Stars out of 50! The staff go out of their way to call you by name. I love this place and it gives me great peace to know my loved on is there.

Ann and I moved into Brookdale Grand Prairie last October. This has been the best move of our lives. Our spacious cottage is wonderful; staff is fantastic; facilities and activities are top-notch. Weve left behind all home maintenance, yard care and utilities. Although we have a fully equipped kitchen, it sees little use . . . did I mention the food (three meals daily) is delicious! Our new retirement living lifestyle is fabulous, freeing our time for pursuit of playing in a local orchestra, and more.
