My brother moved into Sherbrooke Heights Retirement Home in November 2025. He’s been there 8 months now & loves it. I recently visited him & stayed with him for 3 weeks. I cannot say enough positives about the facilities & especially the staff. Sherbrooke Heights Retirement Home is very welcoming as soon as you enter to door. It has a lovely homey appeal. I cannot say enough about the staff; Alison Carey, General Manager, has done a superb job of hiring staff. All are super compassionate, friendly & helpful with residents. Many know the residents by name, share friendly banter back & forth. I do not believe you can teach an employee to be these things. Alison obviously hires for those qualities. Chef John & his staff do an excellent job providing healthy meals across a variety of cuisines, Asian, Mediterranean, North American, etc. Maintenance staff keep Sherbrooke Heights running smoothly. Laura, the Activities Co-Ordinator, plans an endless number of activities; some to help the residents, move, some to keep the grey matter moving & some just for laughs & socializing. All the staff, just too many to mention, are worth their weight in gold. In the 8 months my brother has been there, he has been very active in many activities, that he would never have dreamed of doing before. He is eating healthy nutrition foods. Our family can see the huge improvement in him. We often feel he is 10 years younger! Thank you to all the staff at Sherbrooke Heights Retirement Home.

I was a widow in my house for 3 years after my dear husband passed away. I came to the time when I decided to come to Sherbrooke Heights. I am so happy to be relieved of all the stress of maintaining my house and all that goes with it. No cooking, no cleaning, beautiful grounds, staff always ready to help, activities, etc etc. love it here.

Very pleasant community. Management and service staff are both very professional and extremely pleasant with the residents. Activities are regularly available for all tastes. Apartments are well appointed and the building/public areas are clean, bright band welcoming.

Sherbrooke Heights has been a great residence for Dad. He has met so many interesting people. Staff have very personal and caring for Dad. Scott has been mazing. Gardens are beautiful to walk around and enjoy.

My parents moved into Sherbrooke Heights in October for a three month trial, and it was an easy decision to stay on. They chose a one bedroom apartment with a balcony, which was perfect for them, but there are a variety of suite sizes and configurations so that anyone can find their perfect space. Housekeeping takes place once weekly, and it's lovely for guests have weekly linen changes and basic cleaning. In addition to maintaining individual apartments, the entire residence is always pleasantly clean and fresh looking. The dining experience is wonderful; meals are delicious, healthy and varied (and I've been fortunate to enjoy several while visiting!). The activity program is exceptional and there's something for everyone: movement programs, games and contests, arts and gardening clubs, weekly social get togethers, religious activities, outings and more. Finally, and without a doubt, it's the staff at Sherbrooke Heights that makes it such a wonderful place to be. Without exception I find that the staff, in all areas from management, to office staff, to housekeeping, to custodial, to food and dining, to programming and more, are amazing with the residents and visitors alike. Every interaction that I've had has been friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in ensuring the best experience possible for residents. All things considered, I'd highly recommend Sherbrooke Heights for seniors who want to live independently but within a lovely community.

Adult senior living at Sherbrooke Heights has a lovely atmostphere and gardens. Great if you like the oudoors, as there are many places to walk as well as near walking trails. Lots of the units have balcony's. Clean, with nice decor throughout. The variety and quality of the food is okay, but definitely not their best feature. The staff are very caring and helpful. Great location as it's close to the hospital, shopping restaurants etc.

We came to Sherbrooke Heights in Dec a little over a month ago for a 6 month trial. After long illnesses we are looking for a lifestyle that will give us the quality of life that we crave. The apartment is large and sunny (lots of windows looking out onto forest). Housekeeping keeps it nice and clean. You can go anywhere in building on motorized assisted vehicles in large wide hallways no need to go outdoors in this cold weather. The meals are tasty and lots of opitions available and are delivered to your table by smiling servers who do their best to meet your wishes along with the help of all the kitchen staff. Program activities are varied and creative and you can be as busy as you want..or not. Transportation is provided to get you wherever you want to go in the city, so no cleaning off cars. Snow is a joy to look at as it tumbles down, mainly because you don't have to shovel it. I have met many friendly people and although we don't always remember each other's names we recognize their smiles. As you can see, I am thoroughly impressed with the level of care and concern of all the staff Scott, Alison, Skye ,Laura, Kristen, Greg, John, and all the people who make this a joyful place to live. My favorite vacations were on cruise ships and now I am unable to leave the country due to health issues. My granddaughter sums it up like this ..." Grandma this is your cruise ship in drydock" and that's how I feel.

Lovely retirement community. All meals, housekeeping and bed/bath linens provided and laundered. A lively group of residents provide built in friends and companions. A variety of activities/resident engagement opportunities to tempt help the long days of Winter a little more pleasant. Pub nights, movie nights, billiards and buddies...a really nice place

I have lived at Sherbrooke Heights for more than 5 years. My friends know that if this did not suit me, I would move. I have no plans to move. This is independent living with excellent and friendly staff who set the tone for a very warm and friendly atmosphere.

I’ve been staying at Sherbrooke Heights for a respite stay to recover from an injury. The staff has been amazingly kind and helpful. My dog Maia has also been openly accepted by the residents, making our stay even better.

I moved into Sherbrooke Heights 2 months ago.It is the best & only thing that I have done for myself in 50 years. I am a retired RN. I have cared for someone or something for as long as I can remember. I am a care giver. It is in my DNA. I went through a very difficult health situation for most of 2024. I had no home of my own for 7 months. I stayed at a rehab facility & a few friends homes in the meantime. If it wasn't for my friends, I probably would have died. My daughter chose 4 Retirement Homes for me to see. Sherbrooke was the 2nd one that we saw. I compared all of the others to it. Absolutely no comparison. Sherbrooke felt like home the very1st time I entered. I saw the dining room first. The 1st thing that I noticed was that there were tall menus on each table. They were in large print. I could read the menu without my glasses. There was a regular menu for each meal, as well as 2 alternative choices for each meal. One of the dessert choices was a banana split. I was sold. I walked further into the dining room, & one of the young ladies that wait on our tables, looked me straight in the eye & said very emphatically, "welcome to Sherbrooke". I felt so welcomed. While touring the next level I looked down & she waved up to me. It was such a heart filled gesture. I knew that she really liked working here, & that she honestly loved her job. Her simple friendly gesture made me feel like this was certainly a place that I knew would feel like home to me. I have just returned from being out all day. I can't put into words how nice it is to come back to my home. I unlock my door, with my own key, enter & then lock the door behind me. I was in my own apartment within a community. I have my own privacy, & can choose to participate in as many activities that I choose to do so. I am making new friends. I am finding out who I am, & learning how to take care of myself for once. I feel like I am living in a 5 star hotel 24/7. Honestly!!! This may be the longest positive review ever. I tell everyone that will listen to me how great this facility is. I have neglected to mention how wonderful the staff are here. There is nothing too much for them to try to help you with. They are patient, kind, compassionate & very approachable. They treat us with such respect & dignity. I cannot say enough about them or this facility. The servers treat us all with such respect. They also learn to anticipate part of what you order regularly. Moving a parent to any retirement community is stressful for all concerned. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff at this beautiful independent living community. Alison the general manager and staff, from Kirsten who showed us around who was bright and breezy and really sold the place by just being so light and humorous and all the others, who daily always have a positive and approachable attitude including Scot, Mary-Anne, Laura on the front lines. The young restaurant serving staff are always smiling and patient with their guests. In my personal case, my mother has not been easy in her transition, despite this the staff have been so helpful in finding solutions to help with her situation and in thanks to them she is slowly making headway. The facility is as bright and cheery as the staff and other residents are so friendly and welcoming of newcomers. I could not recommend this location higher for anyone considering moving here.

My mother chose to move and downsize to Sherbrooke Heights. I cannot say enough positive things about the staff and facilities. On a tour before moving Kirsten sold the place with her breezy positive and humorous attitude. She appeared to know all of the residents we encountered by name. Since moving in, the staff, from the GM Alison and including the front line staff I've encountered Scot, Mary-An, Laura are always so positive and helpful with any additional needs. The young restaurant staff are also friendly and patient with their clientele. The food is good, fresh and varied and snacks are always available if required. The facility is a bright cheery and well maintained and appointed with a library and other entertainment locations. For newcomers, they will find friendly happy residents who are also ready to assist in the settling in process.All in all, a great location for my mother to be living in.

i am staying at Sherbrooke Heights for a trial stay. It is a very pleasant and friendly community. My apartment is bright and cleaned regularly by a friendly housekeeper called Amber. The dining room and main areas are beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Food is tasty, everything is properly cooked and well presented and best of all served to me right at my table. The staff are all so willing to help with any questions. This is an excellent retirement home and i can definitely recommend it.

It's a very special experience when you encounter an organization that exceeds all your hopeful expectations for an important transition. This is exactly what Sherbrooke Heights has done for us and a close family member of ours. Several months ago we needed to find local accomodations for a relative (who lived in a different city) who had a recent, serious health scare. So we went on a brief tour of their facility and we were extremely impressed. The staff were amazing in how well they explained things to us and reassured us. Since then our relative has begun living at Sherbrooke and he has absolutely loved it there! We simply can't say enough about the terrific facilities and, especially, the wonderful "atmosphere" that has been fostered by the caring, pleasant and helpful staff. We can't thank them enough for playing a significant role in helping to make our relative feel comfortable and, especially, feel "at home" at Sherbrooke Heights. Our experience has, in SO many ways, been truly terrific!

Mom explored multiple options before deciding that Sherbrooke Heights best aligned with her preferences and lifestyle. Now more than a decade later, she happily refers to it as her "home". Sherbrooke Heights in Peterborough is an amazing residence for Seniors. From the moment we reached out, they provided us with support to find the perfect unit. A wide variety of activities are offered throughout the week, plus the staff know each and every resident personally and touch base with them regularly. The dining room provides delicious meals, with a variety of options in the event that a resident isn’t keen on the main being offered. Such a wonderful, friendly place for our loved ones to live. I have known the team and residents at Sherbrooke Heights for 4+ years now. They are all hard working, caring, patient, energetic and welcoming! If my parents lived in Peterborough I would move them into Sherbrooke in a heartbeat! Absolutely amazing at what they do! Highly recommend.

A beloved family nember lived at Sherbrooke Heights for three years. Recognizing that it is independent living and that support services, if needed, are the responsibility of the family, SH was the perfect place for her to be. Staff were welcoming and supportive. She thrived there, participating in most activities. She is moving to be closer to her children and grandchildren, and to a facility that provides more care options

My uncle lives there and the performance through this crisis says it all. I really like the staff and when we have eaten meals there they were pretty good. Hope I get this option for my spouse or I when the time comes......
