Queens Estate is a wonderful memory care community for my grandpa. He has dementia and ongoing delusions, but the staff meet him where he is with so much love, patience, compassion, and respect. It gives our family great peace of mind knowing he is genuinely cared for and treated with kindness every day. One thing we really appreciate is that residents have a safe environment where they can move around freely, socialize, and interact with others without feeling confined to a single floor. It helps them maintain a sense of independence while still being safe. There are always engaging daily activities, along with special monthly events that family members can join, giving residents and their families something to look forward to and helping them stay active and connected. The nurses, PSWs, and all of the staff are incredible. They work so hard to care for each resident while still making time for meaningful one-on-one interactions that truly make a difference. Agnes Sztaba and her team have been amazing to work with. There simply isn't enough room to recognize every staff member who has made such a positive impact, but every person we've encountered has shown genuine compassion, professionalism, and dedication. We are very grateful for the care my grandpa receives at Queens Estate and would highly recommend it to families looking for a compassionate memory care community.

I have a relative that was looking for a transitional home and he got refused because he had a wound from surgery, that they said they didn;t have the trained staff to take care of it. Unbelievable. Probably because he's not rich.

My mom spent 4.5 years at Queens Estate in memory care. The nursing and PSW staff took really good care of her. They were attentive and very patient with our mom’s progressive dementia with her cognitive decline (repetitive questions, sundowning and anxiety in the evenings) and her mobility decline. The cleanliness of the home, variety of food and the activities offered to ensure she remained engaged and active in her interests really helped us to decide year after year to continue her care with Queens Estate. Management and nursing care staff were very responsive to listen to our concerns and feedback and together, we worked in partnership on matters that concerned her ongoing healthcare, diet and nutrition, any room maintenance issues that arose and her interest and engagement in activities. We trusted in the care she received and we were confident she was safe. The time she lived at Queens Estate ensured that our mom could sustain a decent quality of life in her remaining years and we are very thankful for their service.

My mother has been living at Queen’s Estate for the past 1.5 years and was recently accepted at long term care. She is 80 years old, has dementia and is exit seeking. The staff have been really great here. They have been professional and have communicated very well about my mother’s needs. You can see that the ladies who took care of my mother really cared about her. I felt that my mother has been safe in this place and I would recommend it for anyone with an elderly parent who needs extra care and attention.

Moving my mom from her longtime home to a memory care retirement community was an emotional transition. After visiting a few other places, Queens Estate immediately felt right. From day one, Agnes, Sharon, Ivie, and the entire staff treated my mom with kindness, patience, and respect. The staff at Queen's have made the transition alot easier for mom and us. There don't seem to be many care homes in Toronto that are focused primarily on dementia care. Queens Estate Grandparents Day Celebration was so fun! There was a great energy among the residents and the staff. There was face painting for the visitors and residents as well as refreshments. So nice. My Mom’s great grandchildren were delighted to visit! My Mom has been at Queens Estate for a year and I cannot be happier with the care she is receiving. She is so happy and busy. The staff are beyond wonderful. The creative activities are amazing! I am always so impressed and find such peace of mind knowing Mom has this quality of care. I am so grateful to everyone there.

Three weeks ago, my Dad entered a new phase of his life and began a grand adventure at the Queen's Estate Retirement Residence. The care, compassion, professionalism and patience that my Dad and I have received has been nothing short of PHENOMENAL! Every aspect of my Dad's care has been handled with thoughtfulness, respect and grace and my Dad has settled in and expressed great satisfaction and happiness in his new surroundings. Although my Dad does not partake in the social aspect of residence life due to mobility issues, I can see other residents joyfully partaking in the many activities that are offered. Agnes, Sharon, Melissa, Flavia and all Queens Estate staff are exemplary people and in particular, I would like to thank Vivian, whom I call my Dad's earth angel. There are so many others that look after my Dad that I haven't met in person, but just knowing that they are there for him fills me a great sense of gratitude and peace. My mom is very happy at Queen’s Estate. It was a huge transition for our family as my parents were married for 77 years when my dad passed and we needed to place mom in a memory care home. I was so pleased when I saw my mom dance again, enjoy music and social activities with friends. My mother resides at Queens Estate on the Memory floor. She moved in last year and I visit her there weekly. The adjustment was challenging for all of us but we as a family are very pleased with the level of care she receives at the residence. The staff is excellent and is led by Agnes, who shows her staff by example just what going the extra mile looks like. The main floor is always bright and changing with new themes and the activity calendar is packed with interesting and creative activities for everyone to enjoy. I'm very happy with the amount of love and the family style atmosphere they have created at Queens Estate. I would highly recommend considering this retirement home for your loved one.

My aunt has been at Queens Estate since the early days when it first opened. I was recently visiting and loved the positive energy and vibe. Lots of activities going on for the residents to enjoy including dog and cat therapy which she loves. Staff is excellent and very attentive. Outside grounds are such a nice feature for the residents to enjoy. I highly recommend Queen's Estates in every respect. Sharon, one of their community relationship specialists, went above and beyond to assist us in navigating the healthcare system to have our mother admitted on extremely short notice when hospital staff were not communicating with us. All their care staff, especially care managers Bindi and Melissa, have been extremely accommodating, caring, and responsive as my mom transitioned to her new home. They arrange for medication and coordinate closely with government agencies to provide care, and all their PSWs are friendly and trained in dealing with people that have memory challenges. The facility itself is absolutely wonderful - it feels like a home, not at all like an institution - for example their dining area feels like a restaurant not like a cafeteria. They have many daily activities including music, exercise, gardening, coloring, etc.. and even movies in their movie theater. They are also pet friendly! We can bring our dog to visit, and they have therapy animals visit the residents. There is a hair-salon on-site, and regular foot care. They customize care and attention to the needs and preferences of each resident. The overall vibe is warm and welcoming. You really can't ask for better for your loved one.

A beautiful place. Well maintained. The food is excellent. All the staff are wonderful. If only they could clone Gabriela. She makes Mum so happy. Sadly, there just isn’t enough staff. They are sorely overworked. As are the dining room staff. It's all over their faces. There is an enormous amount of space in the basement which isn’t being used to its fullest potential, including a resident pool that I had hoped would be up and running when Mum moved in but it’s used as a storage container instead. The price is right for what we pay.

My mother has lived on the memory care floor at Queens Estate for nine months and is very well taken care of every day. The staff are kind and friendly and everyone from the PSWs who care for her to the chef in the kitchen know my mother and treat her with kindness and respect. Queens Estate was wonderful about procuring the covid vaccine and boosters in a timely fashion and maintains excellent hygiene to protect the health of all its residents. Most importantly, since moving in, my mother has been calm and content. There are many activities including art and music which she enjoys very much. Our family would strongly recommend Queen's Estate.

My mom has been with Queen’s Estate for six months. Her move there happened quickly after a hospital stay and she was welcomed with open arms. She needs a lot of care and her every need is met or exceeded. Sarah, Jigme, Temi, Vivian, Tenzin and Amy, among many others are warm, kind and generous and provide detailed person dare down to musical preferences, manicures and specialized personal care. My mother was at Queens Estate for nearly two years (she was one of the first to move in after their opening). Staff were fabulous/angels. Adam, Tenzin and Vivian were particularly helpful though there were many others that should be recognized (I don't recall all of their names). Residents who had moved in from other retirement homes said that Queens Estate was an improvement for them. We used a consultant during our search for a home. The staff try really hard to come up with interesting activities to get the residents involved even during lockdown. You can see photos of this on the FB page. The blended model of support that respects the needs of residents is very helpful.

Our father was a resident for 2 months while waiting for a placement in Long Term Care. Even though it was understood that Dad was only there temporarily, the staff went out of their way to ensure he was well supported, had a detailed care plan in place, and had his daily needs met. The staff are amazingly helpful, responsive to our questions and queries, and really patient with Dad. They are amazing! The building is also very pleasant - freshly renovated and furnished - with attention to details tied to the well-being of residents. When Dad left, the staff all gathered to say goodbye and wish him well. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Not only is the staff at Queens Estate kind and caring ... they also go above and beyond. ~ I wanted my mother to be able to celebrate her 85th birthday with her entire immediate family. Your staff took all my wants’ and made them happen. We had sparkling beautiful table settings, lovely decorations, a gorgeous cake and food that everyone exclaimed OMG over.
