Visited Manotick Place on Oct.22 and was encouraged to put down a $500 deposit to hold a room for my mom as it seemed on both ends, like a good place for her. However, they subsequently decided that they could not meet her needs and so it was not an appropriate placement. It’s now Nov. 25 and after phone calls and emails to Manotick Place, I have still not recovered the $500 deposit. Nor do they seem very concerned about it, attributing it to head office. It’s very disappointing and unprofessional in my opinion. Be wary of giving them any money ahead of time.

My grandmother moved here for 1 month respite care following knee replacement surgery and never wanted to leave! She gave up her senior apartment elsewhere to move here permanently and now calls this wonderful place home! The staff are unbelievable… from friendly Hannah & smiley Jessica at the front desk, to server Shelley, cleaning lady Sharron and favorite nurse Joyce, we know she is in the best of hands! MPR is not comparable to any other! Thank you to all for the wonderful care of my gma!

Mom moved into Manotick Place in October. She was sad to leave her home of 60 years but the staff at Manotick Place have been wonderful to her and she is settling in. Lots (and I mean LOTS) of activities and Mom says the meals are fantastic. A great place to live❤

I am very happy to live at Manotick Place because our Activity Leader is No.#1. There are many friendly people here and I have made many new friends. The staff that help me mornings and night are very good. The workers in the dining room are always helpful and friendly. My suite and the rest of the home are always very clean. Dorothy Condie

I moved into this brand-new building, with an ankle shattered and held together by lots of metal. I was so distraught, all I wanted to do in my life was get back to my wonderful farm in Pembroke with bears and wolves, deer and moose, trout pond and thousands of trees, but here I was STUCK in here, broken and forlorn. I felt like shaking my fist at God, but now, after almost 5 years, I look heavenward and say, Thanks a million for breaking my ankle. When you walk in here, you gasp at how lovely the building is, the wonderful décor, the many flowers everywhere, inside and out, the picture-laden walls, but what this place truly is ... a building with heart - an incredible staff. The concierge at the front desk is always welcoming, the head chef, other chefs are great cooks, the meals are really yummy, the servers so kind and helpful. Then of course we always have goodies in the Bistro, could snack all day long if we choose. The cleaning staff and Joe and Sebastian do a wonderful job, my cleaning lady scours my rooms till they shine, but also is fun to chat with. The nursing staff are above wonderful, from Emil the head nurse to all the other nurses and psws, who take such tender care of us. BUT my favorite thing is the activities branch, so ably run by Karen, with exercises often for body, brain games for the head, lots of entertainment coming to keep us happy several times a week. So....after recuperating from my brokenness, I decided to be smart and stay here, I sold my lovely farm, but now I am just so glad to be here where I am so well looked after, have great friends (I call us the inmates), and just relax and enjoy a very pampered life. Extremely friendly staff. The residents are amazing!! I definitely feel at home when I come here (its like one big happy family) The events are so well done. A lot of heart goes into them and I like the fact that the events are open to others in the village (of course with R.S.V.P) I have had the pleasure of eating Easter Brunch there and it was FANTASTIC!!!
