It is a terrible place. The care the clients get in there is disgusting. They let my sister lay in pain after a fall for 4 hours. When they finally called the ambulance and she was taken to the hospital she died. Pure neglegance. If you care about your loved one that is the last place u want to take them.

My mom has been here for 8 months and I have found the staff here to be stellar at every level - they are engaged with the residents and know the residents . My brother and I go here almost every day at varying times and I have always seen the staff so kindly and loving work with residents at every level of their need with such compassion and dignity. Their support of our family has given us such confidence in mom's care - they truly have been there for all of us. The activities are amazing and so much fun and geared for the joy and needs of the residents ! If you are looking for somewhere to find support and care for your loved one - you have to check out Highview! I have asked so many questions and never feel like I am a burden to any of their team - remarkable place which is only made so because of the staff who work there ! Grateful beyond words for this place

My mom moved to Highview in June of 2023 and we have never regretted our decision. She is wrapped in loving care by everyone who tends to her needs. The atmosphere of mom's cottage is warm, lively, colorful, fun and active. Her room is spacious and bright with everything needed to be safe and comfortable. They provide activities that engage the minds of the residents such as baking their favorite recipes together, arts/crafts, puzzles, outdoor gardens to tend and much more. Music Therapy gathers the residents together regularly to sing songs of old. To hear and see the residents sing along word for word with smiles and joy written on their faces… it is so touching! Highview is diligent about informing family of concerns and they seek ways to provide optimal solutions with the residents well-being a top priority. We are so grateful to Highview for giving mom a new place to call home and giving peace of mind to the family knowing she is safe, secure and loved.

When I first toured Highview Residence in Kitchener I knew it was the right place for my mom. The residence is beautiful and the staff are very professional and know how to provide the proper care for dementia patients. And having mom's furniture in her bedroom makes her feel like she is at home. After her initially transition mom is enjoying her life. From the very first day the staff made mom feel safe and comfortable. The staff are so wonderful to mom with their caring and loving manner. She loves them all. Mom deserves the very best care for her remaining years and I am confident she will always have this at Highview Residence.

Our Mom moved to Highview in June 2021 after a rapid decline in her physical and mental state. As my sister stated, the intake was seamless, the staff amazing. Her physical issues were quickly identified and dealt with appropriately. We were able to enjoy visits with her the way we did in the past! Her room was always spotless, she loved the food and the entertainment. The staff were all so friendly and kind to Mom and all of us. When Mom passed away they treated her with the utmost dignity and respect and they could not do enough to make me and my siblings comfortable. I cannot say enough good about Highview Residences and would highly recommend Highview to anyone. Again, from the day Mom walked in the door to the day she passed away they treated her with dignity and respect through professional, loving care. Thank you so much! Mike

Highview Residences in London provides compassionate care at the highest standard. The residence is home-like, not institutional. The staff provide a cheerful atmosphere while delivering the care required by residents with varying complex needs. They provide healthy meals tailored to the needs of the residents. A variety of activities are offered and staff encourage participation at the level possible. This has kept our parent engaged and happy. Our family is relieved and grateful that our parent is so well cared for.

Highview's layout is unique, each "cottage" is light-filled, spacious, yet comfortable and home for just 12-13 residents. Like many residents, my mother has complex medical issues but working with their doctor. the care team has implemented a responsive and flexible care plan that meets her challenging and ever changing situation. Working with residents in one cottage, staff get to know them as individuals, nothing is institutional or regimented. Residents get up when they want, and you will see people eating breakfast in the dining room though out the morning. Issues are never ignored, they are identified and addressed. Communication with families is exemplary. My mother feels safe, supported and talks of how kind the staff are to her. She is so relieved and happy when she is assured she will never have to leave Highview.

My father moved in to Highview after a fast and kind of scary decline. The staff have been great. Caring, patient and thoughtful. The home is modern and clean and my father has settled in well. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend.

Mom came to Highview one day before the first lockdown. Dad come a few months later. I really didnt know what to expect but the vast improvement in my parents quality of living and happiness was nothing short of remarkable. Mom had always resisted help at home. Now she is being taken care of not only physically but emotionally and mentally as well. Its been a long time since I saw her smile so much. Dads needs were higher and Highview always tackled even the most sensitive subjects with diligence, respect and the utmost care. I watched it happen many times during my visits.Despite outbreaks, lockdowns and health protocols, Highview has always demonstrated transparency and quality care to its residents and POAs. I know that mom and dad are better cared for there than anywhere else, pandemic or no pandemic. Regardless of which PSW or other individual I connect with there, the professional manner in which Highview staff manage their facility and communicate to POAs is exemplaryOf all the decisions one has to make during such uncertain and challenging times, placing your loved one at Highview Kitchener is not a difficult one. I have nothing but praise for this home and its staff.

Thank you Highview.The level of care, compassion, and guidance you provided was first class.Dads Alzheimers was devastating and only compounded by the COVID crisis yet you guided us and helped manage our largest life obstacle with dignity and respect.The last few years were by far the toughest ones of our lives. And yet, I can look back and still cherish them with many fond memories of our time at Highview. My husband found his home at Highview during the COvid pandemic when he could no longer be safe in our family home. The management and staff rose to the challenges by implementing measures to prevent outbreaks, while communicating frequently with full transparency via emails and Zoom calls.Their advocacy allowed all residents and staff to be offered the vaccine in a timely way. My takeaway from this experience was peace of mind knowing our loved one was in a caring environment where his physical and emotional needs were met in the most optimal way possible. I believe my husband adapted to his transition into care at Highview - as a testament to the skilled, compassionate caregivers in family-home like atmosphere. I remain grateful every day that he is safe,comfortable and peaceful of spirit .

I cant say enough good things about Highview Residence... from the ideal spacious layout to the ‘homey feeling with couches and recliners furnishing the open areas. Not to mention the comfortable seating areas at the end of each hall with big windows. Each of the large sunrooms offer yet another area to visit with loved ones . The staff are kind, thoughtful and interactive with the residents. Theres various activities and healthy home cooked meals. Its a blessing to know our Dad is so well cared for! Thank you to everyone at Highview !!

Our family was very fortunate to find Highview Residence for Mom. Highview staff found effective and creative ways to communicate meaningfully with Mom even though she had lost her ability to speak, write and understand. Each day Mom was wrapped with a circle of care through to the end of her life. Thank you Highview staff for all that you do!

My Mother was one of the first people to take up residence at Highview and it has been the best experiences for her as well as for the family. We no longer have to worry that Mom is wandering in the middle of the night. She is safe and secure and so very well looked after. My Mom is very happy at Highview. She has a routine that works for her. We know shes not ever going to beat Alzheimers, but at least we know she can live her life being safe and happy.

Dementia. The word terrifies, the future becomes uncertain. You feel like youre abandoning your loved one. The staff at Highview quickly put my mind at ease. They became extended family. Based on the care my aunt received, I strongly recommend this facility.
