My father in law has been residing at Waterside for the past two years. Recently he had some health issues & the staff went above & beyond to ensure his full recovery. Thank you Waterside for all that you have done to help him.

My 81 year old mother spent most of the last year at Waterside Retirement Community in Carlton Place before moving to long term care last month. I have nothing but the highest regard for Waterside. It truly is a wonderful place. Mom had a beautiful 1 bedroom apartment and it had a pull out couch so I was able to stay there often when I visited from Nova Scotia. It was wo wonderful that she had that lovely apartment to transition to after my dad's death. It was so spacious that we were able to make it feel much like her old home in small and important ways. She had mild dementia but often would say to us-This looks like home-I can see that my stuff is here. Our kitchen table at home was of particular meaning and importance to her and it fit perfectly into the space. The staff at Waterside led by the Executive Director, Rick, are truly amazing. So very kind and caring. So attentive and responsive. You cannot ask for better-in all areas from reception, to the dining room, to the recreation team, to an incredible Wellness team and Maintenance and Cleaning. The tone is set from the top and filters down wonderfully. The food was really good and that is so very important for people like my mother who loved to cook and really appreciated good food and enjoyed trying new things Thank you to the Chef and all the kitchen team. You were so very kind to our family when we had a special family dinner on the 4 year anniversary of my sister's death. The meal was outstanding and the kind attention and service were very sincerely appreciated. I so enjoyed all the musical performances in the bar, as did my mother. Last, but not least, the Waterside team did an incredible job celebrating special events and holidays. There was always music, great food, thoughtful planning and execution. Well done to all. I would highly recommend Waterside to anyone for their own retirement living or to families, like ours. trying to help their loved ones find a safe, warm, welcoming place to live. Gail Kelly

My Mom moved to Waterside in November of last year and I am so happy with the care and attention she receives. All the staff have been wonderful, warm and caring. It is a great comfort to our family that Mom is so well cared for, happy and safe

I have just had hip hip hoorah holiday at Waterside! Well actually two weeks of respite care following hip replacement surgery. It was the best decision I made as the recovery here was terrific. Every single member of staff are friendly, caring and professional. Always smiling, all the care they gave me was excellent. It is a lovely facility, and if you ever decide to live in a retirement residence, Waterside is a marvellous option. Thank you Waterside staff for the wonderful care.

I stayed at Waterside for two weeks after hip replacement surgery. The entire staff is amazing! It is apparent that the team thoroughly enjoy working together which made my stay so positive.

My mom has been at Waterside for almost a year. The staff are incredible, they greet her by name and endeavour to meet all her needs. She is comfortable in her suite and is surrounded by all her belongings which made the transfer from home to residence less traumatic. I have eAten there many times and have found the food excellent.

Moving a loved one into a retirement community is not easy, it's a big change for everyone and a stressful decision. I will always be grateful to Heather Luneburg for taking the time to clearly communicate the benefits of Waterside and for her diligent follow-up and help with planning. She is not only kind and patient but clearly an expert on all aspects of senior living. I learned a lot and feel better prepared for this next stage of my family's life. She is the ideal ambassador for this beautiful facility.

Our short time at Viva Waterside Carleton Place was excellent! The facilities were very good, especially as my husband was recovering from heart surgery and an electric bed was available in our suite. The meals were delicious, with lots of options to choose from. We could also have meals in our room if my husband wasn’t able to go to the dining room. The staff were very friendly, helpful and responsive to our needs. There were lots of activities available to us, but unfortunately we weren’t able to participate due to our circumstances at the time. I would highly recommend Viva Waterside to anyone on a long or short term basis. In fact we hope to be able to stay at the Waterside at the next opportunity. Thanks to the staff for making our stay a great one!

Highly recommend. From staying in a hotel suite using the pool, to having mom and dad visit for a month. Always good food, great company and an even better view.

Pub style bar inside the community as well as a garden out back. All residents seemed happy and looked as though there plenty of amenities. Lobby area was very tidy and staff were well dressed.
