Would not recommend the Bellarose facility in Tulsa Oklahoma. Don't be fooled by the sales pitch and pretty building. My mother lived here for about 14 months before passing away 2 months ago. Moving in and out was/has been a nightmare. When we moved into, we gave them 5 weeks to get her room ready after we signed the contract and paid, and absolutely nothing was done in that time. Getting her in to see the nursing director for intake was ridiculous. We ended up putting her into a different room than we originally signed for - two weeks after she was supposed to move in. And we were charged for rent for the whole time. In addition, the previous maintenance director was stealing from residents for years before they fired him, and he was only caught because a resident set up a camera and caught him. Nursing directors have come and gone, and no one seems to want to take responsibility for prescriptions. There were many occasions where my mother was without her daily meds because they hadn't been reordered. My mother passed away on March 25th unexpectedly and now the business office is trying to charge us for food and rent for the entire month after she passed. It took multiple calls to even get the business director to look into the ledger to find their mistake. 2 months later and we are still fighting late fees, wrong move out (death) dates, and all I get for an answer is “that is what corporate told me”. When I ask to talk to corporate, I am not given a number and am told this company just bought several new facilities and she is not answering the phone while traveling. I am still waiting for a response and resolution. If we had to do it over again, we would choose a completely different group of facilities. Dealing with this mess of a company while grieving the loss of my mom has been exhausting and painful. The were a few positives: The activities director is wonderful and some of the nursing staff really go above and beyond. Other residents were wonderful and sweet as well.

Hannah Hill at Bella Rose started helping me find an assisted living option after my 86 year old mom broke her leg. Hannah has been an incredible source of information and support especially since my mom is now in long term care and not going to Bella Rose. She has walked me through every step of the way including how to get set up for hospice. She definitely knows the system and can explain it in a way that makes sense. I can’t say enough about her dedication to her work and the blessing it has been for me and my mom. Hannah never even met my mom but took time and care to help me navigate what is best. So grateful for her dedication and support.

Had my father in there for two years. He liked the people in assisted living. As I have read in other posts, they hammer you with fees when you move out. They never did a walk through when we moved out. The employees are nice people but the management staff is there to get as much money out of you as possible. It’s very expensive place to live. The food isn’t that great at all. They can’t keep help in the kitchen. The place looks nice and you pay for that. Durning covid mask requirements they wanted to charge me four dollars for a paper mask. I had forgotten to bring one and they were willing to help for four dollars. I can buy a box of 100 for a few dollars more. At the end, it’s a business and they are there to make money.

If I were to base my rating solely on the appearance, my review would be a pleasant one. However our experience was an absolute nightmare. We had three family members living at Bellarose. We were charged a ridiculous amount in “damages” when we moved the first two out ($2500.00). Then, during COVID “lock down” we had to move the last family member to a higher level of care within the building and once again charged a ridiculous amount of damages, and coincidentally it was the exact amount as the previous move out, but we were not allowed into the building to verify the damages, and they forced us to hire a moving company. Then most recently, after a new rate increase of $800 MORE per month, we were forced to move the last family member out of Bellarose. 30 day notice was given and we moved the resident out within 10 days of the notice. We were allowed inside the building this time to move the personal items out (that were damaged) and the Executive Director refused to meet with me for the inspection and I was required to sign the inspection/move out sheet which said only touch up paint and no dollar amount was listed. After we left, an amount was added without notification. My problem with the charge is that the resident could not have scuffed the walls since she was bed bound and unable to move on her own in a wheelchair, so the damages should not have been our responsibility. I had a meeting with the Executive Director Tracie Nail and she approved the refund amount, then they charged us for one day into the next month even though it was beyond our 30 day notice. I tried to resolve this issue by calling her BUT SHE DOES NOT return phone calls. We just received the refund check in the mail today, and just as expected, it was lower the amount she approved. This is not my only complaint, but this is the biggest issue that has not been resolved.

My mother has received excellent care and is happy and engaged. The professionals at Bellarose go well beyond the call of duty. it is obvious that they are passionate about their roles, not just punching the clock. I would highly recommend this facility.

When I call to get any information or updates due to covid, I always get right through to the person or my call is returned within hours. The staff know my father and his needs. Our family has been a part of the Bellarose community since it opened, and we have been very happy with the care that they receive. They love the fine dining experience. The activity staff always have something planned each day, and special outings for the residents each week. It is nice to see the staff interacting with the residents and referring to them by name. My mother has been a resident in assisted living at this facility since mid-2017. The quality of this facility is outstanding, and they offer many activities for the residents. The best part about Bellarose is the staff. My mother is not always easy to please, and yet she has developed a strong bond with so many of the staff. EVERYONE is always helpful, and you can tell they genuinely care about my mother. I can't thank them enough for what they do every day, and for all they do to keep my mother comfortable. I highly recommend this facility!

Beautiful place and a blessing to have for my mom. Lori Weiland helped us get mom in two years ago. Mom was the first resident. Lori is gone now and it's very disappointing. Hopefully things will get back to normal soon. I've edited my review in order to make it clear that my mom is getting the best care possible. The nurses and nurses aides go above and beyond every day. My mom lights up when they come into her apartment. They should all be given kudos for what they do every day.

If I could give 10 stars - I would! My grandmother has been at this facility since March 2018. She has Alzheimer’s and started off in assisted living. The staff is so kind and caring- they definitely care about their residents. Two days ago I got a call stating she had gotten out and made it to the street light 1/2 mile away! One of the med techs got in her car to find her - and picked her up at the light to bring her back to safety. My mom was very disoriented and confused. They called me immediately to discuss options because they wanted her safe. They (miraculously) had a suite in memory care open the day before and moved her immediately. They helped keep her calm and busy while I moved all of her belongings. The management have all been OUTSTANDING! They have gone above and beyond to help us with finances to make this possible on such short notice. The nursing staff has been OUTSTANDING! Everyone - in both AL and MC have run up to me when I’m there to let me know how well she has adjusted and how much more calm and involved in community activities she is. Karla- the director- told me that my grandmother is her family, too, and she would do everything in her power to help us financially and with time to keep my mom there and keep her safe. This place is the best place to send a loved one!
