The Resident Services Director's name is Angel and in fact she is an angel. When dad first moved from home into Aberdeen, after serious health challenges, hospital stays, and a stint at rehab, he got around in a wheelchair. After a few months, we asked Angel for a recommendation for Physical Therapy in house. Dad made good progress. When his time with insurance was up, we asked Angel for another PT recommendation that would also come to Aberdeen and would accept private pay. Both recommendations Angel gave have worked out wonderfully and dad is now on a walker. He's slow, couldn't walk a mile, but he is walking instead of rolling and that's a good thing. Thanks Angel. All the staff at Aberdeen care and deliver kind and attentive service.

I'm in a unique position. Both my 97-year-old mother and my wife are residents of Aberdeen. Both require specific attention and care. As I was faced with this situation my first resource was the Executive Director, Cheryl Ledbetter. She answered all my questions in a way that was both professional, as well as caring. As they became residents, my wife and my mother received the same attention and care. Aberdeen is not a giant facility, that is less personal. It is a more intimate and personal facility, where every member of the staff knows every resident. In my situation, I know my family members are safe, comfortable and cared for. This is a relief. I have recommended Aberdeen to many, as the best deal in town.

She demonstrated exemplary communication skills and quickly established a warm rapport with us. She displayed genuine listening skills and provided in-depth answers to our many questions. Aberdeen is such a wonderful place to have my mom. Everyone is like family here and they really do care about everyone. The director Cheryl has made some great changes and the place continues to get better! The nurses Ann and Christy are so caring and helpful. We can reach them anytime and they always make time to return our calls. We are so blessed to have them. Many of the aides have been with Aberdeen for several years and we just love them! We are so grateful to find such a caring place for our mom. Thank you!

I visited Aberdeen Heights and was pleasantly surprised! The community was lovely. It smelled clean and fresh and everyone I met was so nice. The new Executive Director toured with me and showed me around her building. I was very impressed. She was knowledgeable in all things senior living and seemed to have a great relationship with her team. It was a really nice visit and I would recommend others to visit and check it out as well.

I want to express my gratitude to the entire staff of Aberdeen. My mother has lived here for 9 years, she had been out for a month with a broken hip and it was good to get her home to Aberdeen. Brenda is an aide and an angel, she is wonderful with Mom, making sure she is ready every morning. Christie on the nursing staff did everything and more to get Mom home. I recommend Aberdeen to anyone who needs excellent care for their family member.

This review (the 5 stars) is for Schalloca Harris, the Nursing Director. We just found out she is no longer there and are heartbroken. Aberdeen Heights was so blessed to have her, Schalloca was there when my Aunt was there four years ago and we just recently moved my Mom there and we’re thrilled Schalloca was still there. Her nursing staff and aids were/are so good and kind, we are sick to hear Aberdeen no longer has her. All the residents will miss her very much, she was a true blessing to the residents and their families. It would be great, if, Aberdeen would work on getting her back, its a BIG loss for Aberdeen.

I have lived at Aberdeen Heights for 14 years now and I can say I will never leave it is my home. The Nurse Schalloca has helped me with all my prescriptions and takes the time to care for me. The care associates are amazing and everyone has been here along time. I’m proud to call Aberdeen my home.

This wonderful place has a ministry of excellence! I am a caregiver and have seen quite a few places over the years that would make you cry. Not this one! They truly have the heart of servants and genuinely care and protect their residents. I know, my Mother is here. Aberdeen is a very caring facility. The staff is excellent in caring for each other and their residents. We have been associated with them for over 2 years. My mother-in-law has moved in after having had my dad there for 2yrs. We laugh and cry together. Its family.

My mother was at Aberdeen from January of 2023 until she died on January 11, 2024. There were some fabulous things about Aberdeen: the activities directors Amber and Val were so loving toward the residents and had fabulously fun activities, the food was wonderful, and mom's room was spacious and cleaned regularly and very well. Also, many of the nurses and nurses aides were very compassionate and attentive. Unfortunately, there was a consistent problem with mom not getting the proper dosage of medications, which led to some health issues--some of them being serious. The nursing director always seemed put out when we would ask questions and was not forthcoming with information. She would send a nurse's aide to come talk to us instead of talking to us herself. When Mom died at Aberdeen the morning of January 11, several of the Aberdeen staff came to her room to offer condolences, but not one of the administrators came to the family--not the nursing director, not the business director, and not the new executive director. A couple of months before and after Mom died, several of the best employees left Aberdeen: both activities directors, the executive director, the sales director, and some of the nurses. It's a totally different place than it was a year ago. I wouldn't suggest it to anyone who is looking for assisted living for someone they loved.

I had the privilege of bringing my students to Aberdeen Heights for clinicals. The family atmosphere and care given to the residents made the experience exceptional. Everyone was very warm and inviting, and I’m grateful for the CNAs and how welcoming they were to the students. I continued to be impressed by how clean everything was kept and the level of activities offered to the residents. Schalloca and the staff were amazing and I’m so thankful for the experience! I highly recommend Aberdeen Heights.

My name is Christie and I am a Senior Advocate and caregiver. I have to say that Aberdeen Heights is by far my favorite assisted living. The people are so much fun, from the management, staff, and residents. It is a very unique culture, one that you just don’t see very often. I have recommended this place to anyone who asks for suggestions. Amber and Valerie are hands down the best activities directors that I have ever seen. I could just stay and play all day, myself. The lady that I go see once a week just moved in and told me how much fun she has. The care, the staff, the activities are just absolutely Amazing!! I can’t say enough good things about Aberdeen Heights. Anyone looking for a place to go, look no further, this is it. You won’t be disappointed!!

I am part of a local musical group that comes to play monthly at Aberdeen heights and it is our favorite place to be. The staff members are happy and caring. The facility is clean and top-notch. Amber is in charge of activities and she genuinely loves the residents. She knows them all and works so hard to bring joy into their lives. In fact, many of us have said that Aberdeen is the place we would choose to live.

My mother lives at this facility. The staff level is very stable and caring. She is happy in her apartment, the culinary options are excellent, better than most. There are many activities for the residents. We made the correct choice amongst many.

The same leadership has been in place for about 20 years. This is important to my parents so that they can develop relationship that last. As their need for daily care has increased the staff is quick to make adjustment to their care. Many times the staff has put in place creative solutions in order to meet the ever changing needs of our aging parents.

From the kitchen, nursing, activity, front desk, maintenance, management staff, you won’t find a more caring, kind group of caretakers for your loved ones. The facility smells good, the rooms are nice and well taken of, lots of activities and attention to the individual residents. My brother lives here and I highly recommend this senior community.

Aberdeen Heights is a WONDERFUL place. Our Nana, Joyce, was a Resident for 3-years and LOVED every moment. She truly enjoyed all of the thoughtfully planned Activities daily, the FAMILY environment and the loving and kind Staff. The entire Staff at Aberdeen Heights did EVERYTHING to make her life enjoyable and meaningful. Nana was the 'HAPPIEST" she had been in so many years. Our Family cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about the STAFF and Community Aberdeen Heights. They are AWESOME!!!! We are SO grateful that they brought SO MUCH 'JOY" to our NANA. It made us SO happy, because Nana was SO HAPPY living at Aberdeen Heights.
