The staff at Via Christi are always so wonderful and caring. Everyone from housekeeping to dietary and nursing are top notch! My parent is so thrilled to be living there. They always tell me how glad they are to be living there! Their happiness makes me and my extended family feel good and allows us to work and not be worried about them 24/7. Our family wants to thanks everyone for all that they do for everyone who lives there and has loved ones there!! I constantly brag about the great staff at Via Christi! I Highly recommend this wonderful facility!! You will be very pleased if you need to live there or have a loved one who needs help with memory care. I only wish there were more places like this available as our elder population grows in number.

My grandmother recently became a resident, and I visited for the first time today. I was impressed with how friendly, helpful, and kind everyone who worked there was. They really understand the challenges folks like my grandmother, who is experiencing dementia, are going through. The facility is clean, the residents are well-cared-for, and everyone I met there was smiling.

The staff I encountered with were very friendly and helpful as we went to set up a TV and stand for a family member. All greeted us with a hello or good afternoon and smiled even with their masks on you could see the smile.

We went to visit a resident named Lucy Kent. Today is her birthday so we dropped off a gift. The facility was very clean and accommodating for first time visitors. Staff was very helpful and polite.

I was there attending a care meeting and visiting my brother. I was noticing the interaction between staff and residents. They would call them by name to let them know they were being noticed. Also they would not disturb them if they were just chilling. One guy was watching the kitchen workers scraping plates. I guess real life is more interesting than TV sometimes thanks again for caring for my brother!!!

2nd floor Memory has cared for our precious mother for just short of 3 years. During that time she grew to love those who cared for her with empathy, kindness, patience and humor. Immense gratitude to Tavia who engaged Mom, drew her out of her room, facilitated early C-19 distance visits, and stayed in touch w- us. For the professionalism of Amanda, Annette, Tabitha, Jennifer and others we are so very grateful. Special thanks to the cast of aides who worked w- Mom closely every day--your patience and understanding were invaluable. I have been impressed with the care and attention of the staff at all levels at Via Christi Living. I have 2 grandparents living there currently, but had 4 just 5 months ago. The 2 that passed were different family households and different long term illness declines. Yet, the unwavering attention of the staff in this facility was more than expected. I have been practicing medicine for 21 years mostly in rural ERs. The patients that are transferred from nursing homes are usually cared for in a less than ideal manner. We usually are disturbed on the receiving end. Knowing the hardship of rapid overturn of staff and most of the time short staffing issues it is hard to criticize. I will also commend this facility in the cleanliness, not only appearance but also aroma (does not smell like a nursing home). Via Christi Village - Ponca City has changed my perception on elderly care facilities and I am pleased to say, Your family members will be well taken care of, if the need ever arises. My mother stays there and said the staff is really good and the activities are fun. Her main complaint is about the food. She said it is horrible!! She actually has us bring her frozen dinners and say that they are better than the food from your kitchen. I have friends that have relatives staying there also, we have discussed the food and their parents main complaints is also the food. Please do something about your meal program or we will be forced to go elsewhere.

I haven't had any concerns at all, they seem to do a really good job taking care of her. I have been so satisfied and happy. It's clean, the employees are very friendly. I am there all the time, I have never seen any one of them turn their head to not speak to me. I could not be any happier it's a beautiful place. I chose it because every thing you need is there, a beauty shop, and a chapel, we also knew people there, and people that had been there before. I really liked that the nursing home was there too, so we wouldn't have to move her again. You can bring your animal here too. The employees are caring and concerned.
