Extremely welcoming and friendly community! I recently toured with my mom and the move in coordinator Evelyn was extremely accommodating and friendly, as well as all the rest of the staff. Really looking forward to finalizing our move in. They are also currently remodeling their lobby - can’t wait to see once it’s all done!

UPDATE: The owners reached out to me and at my request sent a refund by cashier's check. They apologized and explained that the ownership transition did not go as smoothly as they would have liked. Based on that, I upgraded my review, although it also reflects the care provided by the previous owners through 3 or 4 management changes over an 18-24 month period. ORIGINAL REVIEW: My mother was a resident at this facility. Care was mostly adequate, but many times we found her room had not been cleaned, the trash had not been emptied, and soiled items had not been laundered causing the room to stink. These issues were cleared up pretty quickly most of the time. As most residents do, she had a DNR on file. She was found unresponsive one morning and it doesn't appear that DNR was communicated to EMS, because she was intubated against her wishes. She passed away later that day. Rent and fees are paid in advance. We cleared out her personal effects and were told that a pro-rated refund would be issued in a few days. In the months since, I have followed-up many times. I have been told the owners live out of state and were away for approximately two months on vacation, and were therefore unable to process any refunds. I was prohibited from reaching out to them directly, and (until last week) could not even get a name of a person responsible. Then I was also told they mailed the check from New York to the wrong address, despite having used my address for her bills since she came to live there. Last week I received a clumsily-handwritten check drawn on a local account. It was returned for insufficient funds today.

We visited Glade Ave Assisted Living for the Thanksgiving family dinner a few days ago, and it was truly wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and it was the first time I really got to experience the community my mom has been living in. The food was genuinely great, and the staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable. I’m so grateful for how they’ve helped my mom feel at home. Highly recommend.

My mom has been living here since Feb, and we’re very happy to have her here. The staff are so friendly and caring ” they really treat the residents like family. Mom has been here 1 week. I stopped in Wednesday to drop something off to her. My Mom looked at me and said I really do like it here. The people (residents) and aides are ALL really nice. That made my heart smile. I agree...everyone is really nice and welcoming. They seem to really care and that makes the difference. Misty made the move so smooth and easy. Moving Mom was stressful...arrival was peaceful and pleasant. Thank you ALL!!

Just moved my Mom in today. Finding a home for a loved one can be stressful and challenging. I really liked Glade when I toured. It felt friendly, open and peaceful. Misty made the tour, paperwork and EVERYTHING smooth and peaceful. The staff is very friendly, loving and amazing. Absolutely WONDERFUL staff! Everyone welcomed us with open arms. Misty really went the extra mile (and then some) to make the process as smooth of a transition as possbile. She moved mountains to make sure that we were able to get my father in law moved in without a hitch. She is the girl you want on your team.

We have had nothing but positive experiences with the staff and other residents. Direct quote from my Dad was, "This is alot nicer than I was expecting." They have a great enclosed courtyard so people can go outside and smoking or just walk around. Misty is AMAZING!!!! She has advocated on our behalf multiple times and has gone above and beyond to be helpful and for my Dad to feel welcome.

Misty, Shane and staff have been Ah-mazing!! Top notch customer service and great energy! You can tell immediately the care they give to their residents! When I first walked in you can feel the warmth with the staff and the residents sitting around the fireplace!! It made my sister & I feel very welcomed. The staff work hard and the residents appear very clean and happy. New management has come in and are addressing the buildings needs. The rooms are really large compared to others, and the pricing is great.

They seem nice and take good care of my mom, but my mom is very unhappy there. She has been telling us how staff has got on to her and how they don't take her seriously when it comes to her care. But I don't know my mom needs proof that this is happening. So far I haven't seen no evidence of it.

My mother-in-law made very close friendships with the residents and staff over the three years she lived at Glade Avenue. The staff helped my wife understand dementia and Alzheimer’s disease and made recommendations to improve her mom’s quality of life. When my wife had surgery and could not visit her mom for two months, the staff assisted with phone calls and gave my mother-in-law an higher level of care and support to fill in. As her health declined the center graciously relocated her to their building with more care without raising her cost. My wife will always be grateful for the excellent care that her mom received at Glade Avenue.
