Wow I am seeing a lot of bad reviews for this place so I felt I should leave one too after staying here for about a month back in the end of August and beginning of September. Ok I have been fighting pneumonia since Dec of 2024 till now and I've been to 3 facilitys all together this year ... Now I'm not gonna lie ,when I first got here I wanted nothing to do with this place , didn't even want to give it a chance.After being overdosed from my pain medication at the first rehab center I was at "not saying any names"... But I guess I just had a hard time trusting another human being with my life... My wife is the only one I trusted and still trust. But after the first week I had a whole different attitude about this place. I mean yeah I'm the the one that lies or cover up something for someone else mess. So no this place isn't perfect , but what place is? That's what I kept thinking and telling myself"well" at least it's not like the last joint I was just at. And check this out,at least the people in this place actually seems like they care about your ass . If I would have just opened my eyes a little bit to see that from the jump I know I would be a little bit more rehabilitated than I am to ight now... Nah I had a whole mess of things wrong with me when I first started this journey of rehabilitation. I was actuality bed ridden since the beginning March 2025 to August of 2025. I was diagnosed with o osteomyelitis that's when your bone have a bad infection in them. I also had an infection in my spine a d to top it all off MRSA in my bloodstream. I started out weighing 140 145 lbs by February 2025 I weighed 73 lbs... Yeah when I said I was dying,I wasn't joking or just saying it SMH... SO LUKE

Mikyla was very professional she came to see me at the last nursing home I was at to let me know that I was coming there. Any time I had a question she was quick to give me the right answers. She explained so that I could understand it. My experience with Canfield Healthcare Center was very good. The nursing staff and aides were professional offering a ear if I wanted or needed someone to talk to. The physical therapy team helped me out a lot. They were awesome they got me very far in my rehabilitation. They were a lot of fun to work with. I also had fun talking to some of the residents here as well.

Very nice and clean place and wonderful hospitality. The rooms are well kept and it smells fairly nice! Ms. Robin kept us in the know as well. We really appreciate Marsha and the food smells phenomenal and tastes awesome according to the residents! From the Youngstown Community Center.

Our grandmother has loved it here. She hated her first assisted living facility but this one she said feels like she is staying with family. She loves her little friend group too. We had one question about TV service (she loves watching Wheel of Fortune) and a lady (Tiffany) in the main office was very kind and helpful with finding a solution!

I was very pleased with the treatment I received from the entire staff and I feel that they all represented themselves in a way that was very professional and courteous. I definitely would recommend Canfield Healthcare Center for anyone who is transitioning from the hospital to home and needs this type of facility. They have a top notch staff and some wonderful rehabilitative programs that I was able to take advantage of. Thank you to everyone at Canfield Healthcare !!!!!!

I recently stopped in and thought it was a huge improvement since my last visit 2/24. There are new mangers and the facility was alot cleaner than my last visit. The new Administrator is a Breath of Fresh Air!! Thank you!!!

Canfield Healthcare has changed for the better since visiting a year ago. They were in the middle of resurfacing the parking lot when I was there. As soon as I walked through the door, I was offered fresh baked cookies!!! The receptionist was friendly and welcoming! There are new management from housekeeping to executive director. Everyone was friendly and joyful. Staff was smiling and laughing with residents. Residents seemed happy. The place was clean, smelled like cookies!

There has been a drastic change since the last time I was here in a good way! The whole building looks and smells a lot cleaner. The executive director was very polite and friendly when we spoke and the new housekeeping manager has stepped things up a notch. Very pleased with their new staff.

Over the past few years my mother has been in and out of more than a few nursing home facilities for rehabilitation. Canfield Healthcare Center is by far the one that has been where I personally felt was more than just a facility, with their wonderful friendly and attentive staff, especially their nurses and nurses aides. It feels like family, like they honestly really care. You see residents, nurses, aides, other staff, and people actually stop by to say Hi. As far as I'm concerned that's what you want in a place for your loved one to be, for them to feel comfortable, like they are welcomed, and feel like family knowing that when you can't be there they are getting the best care possible. They are not being forgotten. No matter the length of you or your family members stay I would most definitely recommend Canfield Healthcare Center. I know for me personally I finally felt at peace with my mother being at this particular place knowing she was in such good hands.

I have visited Canfield Healthcare a few times with my therapy dog, Lucy. The staff go above and beyond to provide the residents with enjoyable experiences by planning special events. I visited this facility at a special event.The staff planned a July celebration and PAWS therapy team treated the residents to dog love.The staff were so caring.They made sure we got to visit all residents. The staff had both people and dog treats. We are going to be visiting on a regular basis. Our Team leaders will post some photos.

I’ve been very impressed with Canfield Healthcare. The staff has been kind and attentive to my family member, even when she is not in the best of moods. Administration made the admission process smooth and easy, and goes out of the way to stay in contact with me to inform me of anything I need to know about my family member.
