Not a good place.not clean,lots of turnover for aides.they aren't trained properly for dementia patients. Aides on cell phones alot.no daily activities. Spouse left unattended for 45 minutes nothing on from waist down.please check things before placing someone there. Overpriced.food was cold.patients are not checked every 2 hours. They are put in front of a tv for hours.please do your homework and check other places. We did the laundry.his stuff came up missing. We provided soda,snacks and water.it always came up missing. He was not drinking it.he was not properly taken care of.aides were to use cream on sores in private area not done on a regular basis. I provided diapers and wipes.in 5 days they went through 500 wipes.in 24 hours 18 diapers.was so glad we moved him.the urine smell was bad. The new home is a thousand times better. Just sorry we stayed here because it was close.a 15 minute drive is worth it for a better place.

Shawnee Estates has been the perfect Assisted Living spot for my dad. He has reconnected with friends from high school and has made new friends too. The staff really loves on him and the other residents. Several folks sent cards or visited when he had a short rehab away from Shawnee. Awesome people who really care!

I moved my father here and the experience was great. Communication with the staff was very good and they made the transition process as smooth as I could have hoped. They re continuously improving the facility, also providing activities for residents and families. Pricing was fair and transparent. Food service had options, variety, and my dad enjoyed meals with his friends. Unfortunately, his health required another move closer to me, and we were sad to leave. To this day, when I stop by to visit with residents, they ask about my father.

This is Judy Stevens: My mom has been at Elmcroft for two years. The management and staff are very caring and kind to the residents, as well as each other. It is a beautiful place and is clean. Every holiday it is decorated for everyone's enjoyment. The residents seem happy. I have never seen a staff person be cruel or mean to a resident. Mom has dementia and they are very kind and helpful to her. When we have had a concern, they are very willing to accommodate mom's need. A special thank you to Shelly Meade, Fran Porter (HV), Pam, McKenzie and Shelly (HV)!! Amazing women

The entire staff has shown more dedication to my Dad then any other facility we have encountered. I have worked in the elderly care sector for decades and this facility rates high on the scale for compassion. They sincerely care about the residents and do all they can to provide specialized care.

My dad has been living at Elmcroft for a few months now. The nurses, kitchen staff, administration, maintenance and aides have gone way above and beyond in helping him adjust to this transition from his home of over 50 years. They truly care about them.

My mother was at this facility for close to two years before she passed recently. The staff at Elmcroft did a fantastic job of caring for her - they were kind and attentive and always open for conversation to meet my mom's always changing requirements.
