Earlier this year, I had to make the decision to move my Mother into an Assisted Living Community. It was not an easy decision based on all of the change my Mom had gone through this year with the loss of her husband. I reviewed / toured 10 different communities, and Maplewood was the best. I looked at more expensive and less expensive communities and this community stood out as the best. It's clean, has a boutique feel and the staff is genuinely nice and caring. My Mom has lived at Maplewood in Twinsburg for 4 months, and she is extremely happy. She tells me they treat her like royalty. She loves the staff and has not complained to me at all about anything. They provide a 5 star dining experience across breakfast, lunch and dinner, as everything I've eaten there has been great. The dining tables are always set up like you're eating at a luxury restaurant with fine linens and elegant dinnerware. Maplewood also has plenty of activities throughout the day to keep her occupied and engaged with the community. Once again, this was a very tough decision for me to make, as it was not something I really wanted to do. However, I'm glad I did, as my Mom is safe, well taken care of, has a new friend group(residents & staff) and feels genuinely loved by everyone at Maplewood. I often tease the Maplewood team about putting a bunk bed in my Mom's room so I can stay there. So thank you Maplewood Team for taking such great care of my Mom and being a blessing to my family.

My clients family decided to make the move from Danbury in Hudson to here, Maplewood at Twinsburg! It was the best decision they made for him by far. It’s a complete 100% difference here then the other place. The staff are super friendly and amazing, they really, truly care about their residents and you can see it by the care they receive. We haven’t been here long, maybe close to 2 months, in this short amount of time my client has received more care then he did In the 6 months he was at Danbury. I’ve only showed up once to him in wet pants and it was at no fault to the staff, he had just used the bathroom. His room is ALWYAS picked up and smells good, toilet/bathroom is cleaned almost daily! My client seems happier here and like he’s doing so much better. It took him a while to get used to people doing things for him, like changing him and showering him. Simply because if he refused at the other place they would just leave him. I barely have to shower him or change him because it’s already done when I get here. I can’t thank Maplewood and the staff enough for being so amazing and giving my client (who’s like a grandpa) the care he needs and deserves!

I got to tour Maplewood at Twinsburg yesterday. As a home care physical therapist for nearly two decades, I’ve been in 100’s of senior living facilities. Morgan and the staff at Maplewood are extraordinary! When you enter the building right away you’ll notice the cleanliness of the building and friendliness of the welcoming staff. On the tour I noticed the residents were engaged in a culinary class. I also got to meet the incredible chef and see his staff in action. The attention to detail was evident in all facets of care. For medical care, they have everything from onsite therapy and nursing to a telehealth robot that they are pioneering with Cleveland Clinic. It was truly a remarkable experience and I’d wholeheartedly recommend this loving community to anyone looking for a place to call home.

I toured Maplewood of Twinsburg with Residence Home Care Liaison, Tracy, and Morgan, Director. The facility is remarkable as it's clean and very beautifully decorated. Adequate guest parking, It was easy to navigate and had plenty of areas to be with others or go off for privacy. The staff were very friendly and very attentive to the people under their care in the facility. We were there just before dinner time and the food smelled delicious! I had the pleasure of touring Maplewood of Twinsburg today. What a magnificent facility! I felt like royalty the moment I entered the lobby when the friendly woman at the front desk greeted me and throughout the entire campus by the staff. It was so clean and well cared for and it smelled refreshingly good. I toured during the lunch hour and the residents were enjoying nice conversations at their tables while the staff attended to their every need. The food smelled and looked delicious. I felt like I was at a fancy country club for seniors. When I received a calendar for the month with all the activities and events they had planned for their residents, I was impressed! I was amazed by all the details they considered when designing the facility with the color coded hallways for the living areas, the lighting outside every resident room (changing colors as the day begins with brightness and turning dimmer midday to evening) and how each community sitting rooms are used for several activities, lounging and where residents could make calls via the internet. They had a vision when they designed this magical place and I could envision having a loved one live there.

DON Kate was great too as well as nurse's Michelle and Brooke. My MIL loved her first day with activities and staff said she was so sweet and friendly, she got her hair done-so cute, and looking forward to going to a winery today with activities director Allie. My 103 year old step father was living in an assisted living facility on the 4th floor but became overwhelmed with sundowner dementia memory issues. We were using private caregivers and also started him on Continuum Care Hospice who advised us to find a Memory Care facility that could better manage his condition. It was difficult to find a place because my step father would wander the floors at night and all the quality places we visited would not take him until we met Morgan at Maplewood at Twinsburg. Within a week we moved him to Maplewood and the care he received was first class from the staff, caregivers and nurses. My step father lived out his final weeks there and I highly recommend Maplewood.

I am a nursing home administrator and placing my mom in an AL was a tough decision for my family and I. It’s strange being on the other side-the family side. Maplewood was the perfect place to take care of my mom. The DON, Kate, and the Administrator, Susan were amazing and attentive in every way possible. The nurses, Lisa (day and night shift), Michelle, and Haley were so caring and thoughtful. The aides were so friendly. The food is excellent. The activities department is phenomenal. We found Maplewood at the suggestion of a relative who had a family member in their Geauga Co facility. Wow, what a great group, because our experience with Twinsburg was similarly positive. The people were caring and helpful and the physical facility is lovely. COVID has obviously made challenges for us all, but the folks at Maplewood seem to be able to figure out how to put their residents as the true priority. Yes, it means there were times we couldn't connect well with our loved one; yes we worried about her and her struggle to transition at Maplewood; and unfortunately she wasn't thrilled with the food or how small her was. But with the Maplewood staff's help, we figured out getting a mini fridge for her to have snacks/food in her room. We found Panera delivers, as do other local restaurants. We found that with any challenge we brought to Exec Dir Susan or Res Services Dir Kate, they were prompt to respond and offer us options, or make our requests happen quickly. Also, the PT folks they work with (Sparks Therapy's Sharin in particular) were a Godsend for our loved one's physical, as well as mental well-being. Thank you Maplewood and staff: Susan & Kate, your staff from first call to maintenance are so appreciated, from Emily, Joe, Marissa, Greg, Halley, Mary to many many others, we Thank You All for the care and kindness you showed us. Side note: my Personal Assistant business (Abner's Assistants, LLC), found Maplewood extremely helpful in making sure care-givers and facility staff were able to work together for the residents' best interests. From testing and vaccines, to schedules and challenges, Kate & Susan try make sure their residents' needs are being met in whichever ways work best for the resident. Other area facilities have not been as helpful, caring or communicative for some of our clients, which makes Maplewood a wonderful standout in yet a whole other area! Again, Thank You to Susan, Kate & the whole Maplewood staff!

Maplewood at Twinsburg has been a Godsend to our family. We moved my Mother in a little over 6 months ago after months of struggling to find the right place. While everywhere has their flaws, the staff and management have been nothing short of amazing when it comes to problem-solving. I haven't seen my Mom this social and alert in a long time and it has been such a wonderful thing to witness. She is treated with respect and I know that she is being taken care of in all aspects. Recently attended an education event at Maplewood. Not only was the food they offered very good, but the building itself was beautiful. Staff seems very well prepared and educated, and even lead the education session that I attended. Have been looking at these communities for a while to know what is out there "when we need it".
