I have been at Merit house for a year and a half. Things were good and bad. Now they're just bad. A large corporation bought them and everything has gotten cheaper. Food has gotten worse. I'm seriously thinking about looking into other options. They've doubled and tripled people's workloads and people are leaving by the droves

it may not be the fanciest building in Toledo, but the care was very good! I work for a hospice organization, and we brought a patient here for a respite. We love our clients, and this was our first experience doing business in this building. The staff from the administration on down were excellent to work with. Navigating a respite stay in a new community is more challenging than it sounds. It involves contracts, meetings, and paperwork galore Everyone from Cathy to Kim Made that process easy. The entire time the client was here for respite staff were attentive, kind, and she looked great. She had a wonderful time, she was engaged, had access to activities, and I am pretty sure the DON spoiled her a bit. it was a great experience for my team, the client, and the family was happy as well.

OMG!! I apply for a position at the Merit house And I got it, but what I want to compliment is my orientation trainer, if people are that pleasant as Regina Russell it's going to be a honor to be on staff at the Merit house, she's a very sweet, patient, caring person , I can tell her residents love her and it wasn't a put on. I was nervous about going to my orientation because I'm older and I'm in a new Lane, but she made me feel so comfortable and reassuring that the position I applied for is possible for me to do. I just had to give her flower 🌺 .she is a gem at the Merit house , because of her I made the decision to go full time after mine orientation if it's still a position available.

The aides don’t care the call lights be on for hours then shift change and the new aid has no idea. They stole $300 cash when my loved one first came because she didn’t know to lock it up. The food is inedible and they let you lay for hours without turning you to prevent bed sores. Some of the nurses was nice but that’s it, I really feel sorry for people that has to come here and live for the rest of they’re lives smh

I had to wait lots of times for attention, and my call light was out, they were very quick getting me in for a respite stay, as I needed things done at home before I could go there

Merit House is so much better than I thought it would be. Staff give my mom the greatest care. She loves the food and eats everything on her plate. I cannot say enough about the care she receives.

Despite the challenges that COVID has brought to the long term care facilities since March 2020, the care my father received at Merit House was good. The staff was helpful with our "window" visits during this time. They were also patient with any questions or concerns our family had.

I was in the Merritt house for about 4 months 55 year old bilateral amputee. Physical Therapy was great the aides were great. They came around make sure you had what you needed. Very clean. Courtyard out back. Some of the employees brought your dogs in that was nice the owner has a nice dog. I've stayed in quite a few of these places I stayed in a really state-of-the-art place out on MCO property. But I've yet to stay in one that equals American house it's a very good facility the people are good. My overall experience was pretty good deal my name is Tim Wells I'm 55 years old

Our family loves Merit House. Sara and Lisa (nurses) are the best. They have made my mother feel at home. The owners have bent over backward to help us. The assisted living is great . They have renovated the assisted living rooms and each has their own bathroom. I feel very safe having my mother there. The staff is always personable and helpful. I looked in the Toledo area for an assisted living which accepts Medicaid and this place is by far so much better. If your looking for a place for your parent I feel you can't go wrong. Check it out.
