The Danbury is the ideal place for your aging loved ones. The price and location are within our means. The staff is very attentive and genuinely seem to care about what they do. The faculty is stunning and the grounds are breathtaking. A burden has been lifted off of my family knowing that my father will be respected, happy, and well taken care of as he ages gracefully. Go Danbury. 5 stars hands down.

Out of all the local AL/MC places in the area that we visited, Danbury was the most welcoming and attentive to us and our concerns. The staff is cordial and professional and really seem to enjoy their jobs. The food is great and the team there will go out of their way to help you and your loved one feel comfortable and gather the information you need to make the important decision. Even the other residents that I talked to on my visits here had only good things to say. I believe Danbury is a trustworthy senior community.

Moving a loved one into a memory care unit is a difficult transition for the new resident and family. Danbury staff ” administrators, nurses, aides, maintenance crew, and dining services ” all contributed to making that transition as supportive and comfortable for my father and our family as possible. The care my father receives is attentive, kind, respectful, and cheerful. The facility is bright, sunny, and clean ” and also welcoming to 24/7 visits by family members. The meals took a bit of a dive in quality amid some apparent change in kitchen staffing, but that's been addressed. I've been especially impressed and appreciative of the quick response we receive when we have any questions or concerns, and my father enjoys his interactions and conversations with staff. He is very proud to see his youthful picture hanging on the "Wall of Honor" recognizing residents who served in the military. I am so happy to have found Danbury (after two unsatisfactory placements), and feel such comfort and relief that my father is in an environment where his caregivers have his best interests at heart, and where they treat family members as part of the care team.

Recently moved mom to Danbury after skilled care. The move in process was easy, the care team came out to meet mom at the skilled facility, I knew pricing prior to do any paperwork and they allowed us to set up moms new apartment right away. When we were notified of her discharge date everything was ready for her and we just brought mom to her new apartment. Mom is now settling in, making new friends and continuing her therapy with their in house team. Highly recommended!

This place is full of hidden fees. My parents were there for less than 5 months and charged over 44k for a substandard stay. They are actually still trying to bill us for the room after we got them out of there. The “extra” care my father was charged for was nonexistent. He has mobility issues and would have to wait for extended periods of time after pulling the “emergency “ string. The food is terrible and the portions are very small and service was very rude. There were many times they were just plain ignored. The cleaning and laundry was laughable at best. Clothes were lost and we were constantly battling ants. Any questions to the staff took several days to get a vague answer. The medication was a joke because you had to physically hunt down a nurse to follow up on prescription refills. We have reached out to staff after we pulled them out and they said my mother, who is 85 and has dementia, was well aware of all the extra fees. My sister is just absolutely being ignored now for trying to get answers on the continued extra fees they are still being charged for. Im sure there responses to this and the impending family members reviews will make it seem like they were upfront and transparent about “extras” but I assure you it is not. Avoid this place if you care about your elderly family because this place will drain them and keep going after they leave.

I moved my Dad to Danbury from the nursing home after he completed his therapy. It has been a savings to our family compared to the cost of a nursing home. He receives great care with nurses and aides around the clock. The building is beautiful and very clean.

I’m in constant contact with a family friend. Danbury is a wonderful place. Whenever I go there to visit it’s always clean and everyone is very nice, and the staff comes to check on him while I visit. He loves all the activities and the other residents. He is well taken care of and continues to build relationships there. That’s very important to me. I’m so glad after a lot of failed attempts he finally found his home.

My mother recently admitted to Danbury in the assisted living side. Jamie guided us through the whole process and made it seem so flawless. The director helped with the paperwork and explained everything to me and all my siblings. My mother has never been happier there. She is going to the dining room and meeting new friends every day. She loves she can have breakfast any time of the day and loves the "soup of the day." My family toured many assisted living facilities and you definitely get what you pay for. Staff are attentive and check on her throughout the day even if she doesn't press her call button. Her moving into this facilities has relieved me and my siblings in that we don't worry about her being home alone anymore.

I want to leave a zero rating but that is not possible. I truly am so disappointed in this place. It ended up costing my parents on a fixed income almost $11k per month when they were told $7k. There are so many hidden fees and they were charged for services they never received. When I called to ask for an explanation I was told I would get a call back. After 2 weeks and 5 calls I gave up. The hey don’t want to hear from me because they absolutely do not care. The food is not good. The portion la are small and my parents had to supplement with making their own food in their room. The place brags of chef quality meals. What a joke. We wanted to have them stay in a nice caring place but we ended up having to leave after 4.5 months because they were so disappointed and they were being charged way more than what we were told. No explanations and no accountability. This place should be called Scambury. I hope this review helps people stay away from this place and find a better place where the costs are transparent.

Placing a loved one in a facility is really hard. You question yourself over and over. Finding the right one is equally challenging. Thankfully our circumstances led us to Danbury Senior Living in Huber Heights, Ohio. My mother needed memory care right away and the first facility we placed her wasn't great with poor staffing levels. Thankfully, we were led to Danbury. What a difference! Amy Jo, the executive director is absolutely wonderful. The office staff, nurses, activities staff, maintenance and caregiver companions are fantastic. They have so many great activities and really care about each resident. My mom is happier than when she was home alone and I don't have to worry that she could wander off any more. Danbury offers loving, compassionate care and I'm so happy that my mom is there. It was definitely a great decision!

I can’t say enough good things about Danbury. The staff is very caring and knowledgeable about handling the care of seniors, including those with dementia. I moved my parents there in October 2022, and they are a true partner in managing their care.

The residents who need fed are RESIDENTS ARE NOT FED! 90% of showers ARE NOT GIVEN !! High incidence of UTI’s.Residents are NOT TAKEN TO THE BATHROOM!! Please, if you love your loved ones, DO NOT GO TO Danbury !! I am a nurse for 30 years and I have NEVER SEEN SUCH POOR CARE!!

So thankful for the nurses, care companions and ALL of the staff at Danbury. This quarantine has been the hardest thing for me, I was used to seeing mom and eating lunch or dinner with her about 5 days a week. The staff here have made things much less difficult, as they do everything possible to help her and show how much they care. As hard as this has been I know they are keeping her safe. Can’t thank them enough!

My parents moved into Danbury in July 2018 and remained there as residents until they passed away in late 2019. They were apprehensive at first but came to establish many warm and loving relationships with residents and staff. Danbury became home as it provided a sense of comfort, security, and community. The quality of care, which always delivered with kindness, respect, and warmth, could not have been better as they transitioned to end of life. The staff also responded similarly to us as family. I have been here over four months and I love this place. Danbury’s Are perfect for me. It Draws me out of my room and into all the open areas (dining,pub,game room,fpool table,,theatre, Community )... it is also very affordable. EVERYTHING is included in the monthly rate.
