As a liaison for Echo hospice, I am in many facilities a day. Everyone here is always welcoming and there is a home like atmosphere. I also have had a personal experience as well with family members. Jennifer M is great when meeting with families and does an excellent job of explaining services and giving a tour of the facility. I would highly recommend facility to anyone looking.

All of the people--receptionists, drivers, maintenance, aids, nurses, administrators, chefs, kitchen workers, laundress, cleaners--who work here are friendly, professional, and caring. My parents have been in memory care for over a year and are so well cared for. It is a very tough job to work with residents who have dementia along with other medical conditions. The head nurses and those nurses on the floor make sure everything runs smoothly and with utmost care. The aids are particularly attentive to specific needs of each of my parents. Recently when my Dad returned from a hospital stay, he was genuinely welcomed home by all the staff. It made a difference to me to see their smiles upon his return. The building is modern and very clean. Our family feels that our parents are living in one of the best facilities in the area.

My mother in law was at Vista Springs for a few years . I would pop in at different times to visit her and was always impressed with how clean and the care they took of my mother-in-law. The housekeepers ( Vicki and Claudia ) did a great job. If I had a problem or a concern, I went to go speak with Pam who is very attentive and addressed the concern. We did get to know several people there since my mother-in-law was there for a few years. The administrator of the building Jennifer was so welcoming and amazing. She did have to have therapy .Carrie and Kelly treated her in therapy and were able to increase her independence which increased her happiness. I would highly recommend this place.

My parents became members of the Vista Springs Community in June of 2024. They got the best bedroom suite on the 2nd floor. After my mom sadly passed away, we moved Dad out and up to the 3rd floor. We got to know most of the staff on every floor. We would like to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to all the staff at Vista, from the Administrative Staff, the front desk, the nurses, the nurses aides, food services, wound care, activity coordinators, maintenance, (sorry for 2 floods), the cleaning crew knew all of them and they knew us. We were impressed by the helpfulness, friendliness, and respectfulness exhibited by everyone. Also, the place was always clean and the food was good. We learned that everyone at Vista chips in wherever and whenever they are needed. Janice from Compassionate Care Hospice and her staff blended in seamlessly with the Vista Staff and we appreciated how the nurses and staff worked together with both our parents. Neither really experienced any pain as promised as their lives came to an end. There is no perfect place, but Vista comes pretty close. I’m pretty sure with our big family and our constant needs and phone calls, we could be a handful, but everyone was always nice, courteous, and accommodating. We appreciate everyone’s help and service during their stay. So, with everything said, I would highly recommend Vista Springs of Greenbrier to anyone looking for a safe, friendly, and helpful facility. I’ve always said The people that work at these types of facilities everywhere are the angels on earth. It is a hard job, both mentally and physically. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. I’m so glad my grandma feels like she belongs there and has met some wonderful friends. My grandma came to Vista Springs shortly after having a stroke and bouncing from nursing home to nursing home in the area due to care issues and other concerns, she ended up staying at Vista for 6 months leaving for 3 weeks and then coming right back again for another month until therapy stated she was doing well enough now that she could discharge home with a high success rate. This came from having no ability at all on her left side, not being able to lift her arm or leg or being able to walk. She’s now thriving at home and able to walk short distances. I don’t think this would have been possible without the nursing staff and therapy at Vista Springs! Also the environment was very well kept and engaging she was occupied with activities and therapy daily which filled her days and she really enjoyed as well. She had her own beautiful and CLEAN apartment which made her feel like she was at home in ways, was able to bring her personal furniture and decorations which helped out with it feeling homey. The nursing staff got to know her very well over the time she lived there to where she was emotional upon leaving due to the bonds she created in those 7 months. I have no complaints at all and eventually if she ever needs care again she already has stated multiple times she wants to go back to Vista !! And most importantly her being there gave our family the peace of mind we did not get at the previous facilities and were able to sleep at night not worrying about if she was okay and cared for, if I could give more than 5 stars I would. Highly recommend if your loved one needs care in the area.

It’s a beautiful, peaceful, well run establishment. The staff is very kind and responsive to visitors and residents. Many activities are offered throughout the day to stave off boredom and lonliness and encourage mingling with others. Scheduled routines set for physical therapy, laundry, bed changing, etc. Lovely apartments with many options to sit elsewhere within the facility and not feel secluded, including outdoors for some fresh air.

Vista is the best Assisted Living Community in the area. The Manager goes above and beyond in making Vista a home for all residents. Very caring is the staff, making the residents and family feel welcome and they outreach to help at all times. The staff makes daily efforts to bring joy and happiness to the residents. And they will offer suggestions to relatives to make life easier and healthier for loved ones. The meals are prepared by a chef. The atmosphere is upbeat and joyful. Activities are varied and many. It seems the staff truly enjoys working at Vista. The former community residence that my relative was at --- the staff would always look the other way to avoid making eye contact with relatives. I feel my relative is well taken care of - always.

I was impressed to see so many people in one organization who consistently show how much they care about the residents. From the receptionist to the cleaning crew, aides and nurses, I was truly impressed. We experienced the usual challenges that come with a transition to a new assisted living and didn't stay beyond the planned 1 month respite period but it is worth a serious look if you are considering a move for your mom or dad. The price is reasonable--better than many others. My mom was unhappy with the food but I'm told they were between chef's so maybe that is a temporary issue. One long-time resident told me they love the food. Stop in for lunch or dinner before making a decision. My mom was also unhappy with not having a lock on her door but no one ever came in without knocking (except at night) and she was comfortable enough with the people there to leave the door ajar most of the time anyway. At night, they check in routinely and quietly and then push a button in the bathroom to show they were there. A special shout out for Ariana. She is the smiley-est and most patient, efficient med tech a person could hope for. The one-bedroom apartment is very nice--one of the nicer I've seen but the refrigerator was very small. I didn't ask if a bigger one was available.

My mother moved to Vista Springs after residing for many years in another facility that closed. I wish she had never lived in the first place, as the entire Vista Springs experience was so great that it was like going from the local bus to the Orient Express. My mother was treasured by every staff member. I was greeted every day by someone who knew who I was, who knew how my mother was. Staff spent their own time visiting and helping mom in her room. This is an atmosphere of total love and caring, with professional high standards. You can’t find a better place for your loved one, or yourself if you are ready for daily help in your life.
